    Philis you create such great content.
    Welcome to Trinidad
    Correction, St. Joseph was the first capital of Trinidad, then it was changed to Port of Spain.
    San Fernando was always the 2nd largest city 😉

    Good morning Phil. I like yur video on travelling by water taxi from Port of Spain to San Fernando and returning to Port of Spain by bus.
    Can you tell me a little more about San Fernando hill? What special is there?
    I am planning to visit Trinidad later this year, and I plan to stay at the Regent Star hotel near the airport. I want to take the public bus from the airport to Port of Spain, and then the water taxi like you did to San Fernando. Take another bus that go around San Fernando to see the town, and then take another bus back to Port of Spain, and finally another one back to Piarco airport.
    I am right now trying to see the bus schedule online, but so far have not succeeded. Will keep trying.

      Thank you for watching... San Fernando hill gives you a nice panoramic view of the city and you can also relax and have a picnic there.
      I am not sure if there is a bus schedule online but the buses are plenty. To go to Port of Spain, there will be multiple buses and maxi taxis running during the day and even in the evenings. Just go on the main road and hail one of the buses with the red banner. From port of spain, go to the main bus terminal as you can see in the video and in there you can ask about the bus you need to go back to the airport.
      In San Fernando, I didn't take the red bus but it was right outside the ferry terminal when we arrived so you will find it there and enquire about its route. The buses to go back to Port of Spain from San Fernando run until around 8pm (not completely sure) but these are not express. If I remember correctly the last express one is the one we took at 6pm. We actually didn't go all the way back to port of spain, we got off the second stop, and took a bus on the opposite side.
      I hope you enjoy your time in Trinidad.

      Good afternoon, Phil. Thank you for your reply. I managed to get the website for the bus to work so I could see all the schedules and fares to the different places . Iam now looking at what time to go, and I will keep in mind what you said if I do go about the best time to go to San Fernando hill. One other question. Is the bus terminus in Port of Spain close to the water taxi port, and is it the same in San Fernando?

    • @travel_with_phil
      @travel_with_phil  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @brianchu-a-kong1414 Yes, in both cities, the terminals for water taxi and buses are about close no more than 5 mins slow walks

    Sorry - That guy is giving incorrect information. First of all :- The first Capital city of Trinidad was St. Joseph not San Fernando. The Largest cities of T'dad are Chaguanas, San Fernando and Port of Spain, in that order. He has said so many incorrect things, so take his info with a grain of salt. I don't think that guy is native anyway.

      Mingoao, Trinidad has only two cities; Port of Spain which is the capital city in the north west of the island and San Fernando which is in the south west of the island. Chaguanas is a borough and has not attained city status as yet.
