Whenever I need to reduce stress before I sleep I open up my Bob Ross playlist. I'm a grown man, 6 foot, 210 pounds of pure muscle... but this man makes me feel secure and safe from everything in the world. His smooth caramel voice, gentle reassuring strokes, effortless wisdom... I'm happy now..... I think I will sleep. Goodnight everyone 🙂

We don’t know that. For all we know his mind was a veritable hell on earth and his outward persona was an escape from it. Some of the most loving people tend to be suffering on the inside sadly. Like comedians suffering with suicidal depression.

It always amazes me how many people don't realize Bob Ross is dead. Just shows the impact he still has on people who didn't even know who he was when he was alive.
In our hearts he is still alive. I hope he entertains people for generations; I was heart-broken when I learned he passed away, but at least we have hundreds of episodes of his show to enjoy.

I miss him so much. When I was a little girl I’d watch him on the weekends or after school as well as mister Rogers I miss shows like that just a calming sense to learn instead of loud and bright all the time. I cherish those memories. Thanks bob

This man right here was the man who inspired me to be an artist. I've been drawing and coloring pictures since my toddler days but I remember watching an episode of Bob Ross where he was painting mountains and trees, I was about 9 or 10, and I was so amazed and inspired by it that I painted my very first mountain landscape. And since then I've been practicing drawing and painting and I'm 19 now. I'm still practicing and I owe it all to this man right here for inspiring me with his art. May he rest in peace

My 6 year old just followed this tutorial and it is actually amazing! She has just asked me to take a photo and write into Bob.... I haven't had the heart to tell her she can't 😣🤫
Once I saw Bob's finger swirling the titanium white in the center of that sun...that's when life started to look up for me.
