This is my first time watching Bob Ross. How am I alive? I feel so warm almost to the point of my eyes watering. When’s the last time you were told by someone “It’s Ok”. His approach of trying to convince you that you perfect the way you are is satisfying to the soul. “Don’t mix blue or your clouds will be green.........unless you want green clouds, it’s absolutely fine” OR “if you don’t have mountains, you can of course leave them right out” OR “I don’t want to ever tell you there is one set rule to do anything, if it works for you then that’s the rule”
God bring these people back, there are many many more you can take instead.

AN interesting fact for my fellow Bob Ross fans. He did these shows for free and would often do one after another back to back. To me that shows just how good he really is and how much he truly
loved his art.
Intellectual Rebel Yeah, he made all his money seling the paint, mediums, brushes, beat racks, etc. Was quite the entrepreneur and his company still sells brushes and painter kits today.

I actually just did this painting today, my first time doing an oil paint and it turned out better than I thought it would. For anyone who’s thinking about painting just go for it, you really will surprise yourself and Bob is an excellent teacher. May he Rest In Peace ❤️
I love painting with Bob but he is pretty advanced. I just started oil painting this year.
I have been wanting to learn to paint for a long time. The first time I watched Bob, I immediately thought of painting. The thing is that I don’t really have the time to learn. I would want to take a class somewhere to learn how to paint great pictures.
Bob really helped me with my confidence in my art. He taught me that whatever way I like, is the way it should be. That has helped me more than anything else.

I remember in high school art class the teacher has sooo many rules. Then theres this home work once, I follow the rules the teacher taught, but I ran out of time. So in a panic, I smeared a blob of paint directly onto the canvas... I thought what the heck and just started popping the tube of paint and smeared everything with my hands... Got the best grade I ever have in art class...

You need to be strict when you learn the rules so later on you know how to break them and make exceptions.
It always amazes me the fact that he can paint such great paintings in nearly half an hour. Ok that he must take some time deciding the scenes, preparing the canvas and picking the colors, but I think he could paint like a dozen of these in a day.
This man was a wizard. He was the king of calm.
