Hi my friend just installed this for me however i think he did it backwards as the brighter light is facing the engine bay and not the outside its all connected can i remove it and put it correctly what would u suggest to re- tape it thanks
Why use the stick pads hot glue and zip ties when the led strip has adhesive under the red stripe?
Because from experience the last time I had used some kind of double-sided tape sticky tape that came with some LED lights it didn't stick cuz my Surface wasn't clean enough to get it all to the stick perfectly it would stay on there for a little while but over time I guess what the heat building up inside the motor it would fall right off so I found that if I hot glued it it would stay perfectly they wouldn't move anywhere
@@fixitdaniel word. That 3M adhesive is usually really good but sometimes it does fail. Did you have any issue with it moving left or right in the zip ties?
Good job!
Thank you
I appreciate all of your videos so much! As the owner of a 2005 STS that is falling apart, these videos are a life saver. Do you by any chance have a video on how to replace the driver side blender motor for the temperature control? Mine is currently stuck on AC (and it’s currently winter lol). Thanks again!
No I don't have a video on that I haven't gotten that far with my not working my apologies
No worries! Keep up the great videos!
@@Arkalaky2 will do
Hey Daniel, thanks for the instruction. I'm trying to do the same on my wife's Audi. Can you tell me what that battery pack is so I don't have to hook to the battery like you advised not to?
I got some eBay here's the link

Negative to a bolt. Positive to acc or drl
Thanks so much for your videos with the led lights. I have a 08 sts and nobody else is making videos with the sts except for you.. thanks alot.. keep them coming. And I have a question. Do you know if they have blue led parking light bulb? The small bulb you plug the wires into.
Not sure I think so I'll have to check
Looking forward to the answer
@@Fourislove I this is what you look for this should fit where the corner bulbs goes.

Thanks so much. You are awesome!
Yeah, no go with the hot glue and wait a relay instead of a fuse?
Ok, I get the hot glue, but what's wrong with using a relay it worked.
Hi Daniel… I like your video… keep ‘em
coming. I can’t find the battery pack on eBay using the link you provided not using the name. A little more info please. Thanx

How did you know which of the four socket holes to insert the wires in?
I turned on the car and pulled the fuse for the parking light and then put my voltmeter on it to figure out which one was giving power and then turned it off to figure out which one was turned taking away power and then that's the one I choose for positive and negative
@@fixitdaniel Thank you for replying but the relay you took out has four plugs. How did you know which of the four sockets were the correct ones to insert which of the two light wires?
do you think that could work on a motorcycle jacket?
If you find somebody to get the stick and maybe run off of a battery that's sewn into the jacket or something like that.
I bought this exact kit but my strip just lights up solid. It doesn’t do the cool scan thing.
Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Either it's broken or they Sold you the wrong type.
@@fixitdaniel Yeah I bought from a fb advertisement and the ads even had a little video of it working (scanning). I think I got scammed. Typical.
Thank you for your quick response 😊
Great video can u also do that in the back of the vehicle .
Will this drain the battery
Tks!
@@dtail4u You can do that in the back it wouldn't drain the battery.
Same for me..mine just lights up soild ..think I got scammed too
On a 2014 vw Passat there isn’t a diagram in the fuse box, what to do?
There's no diagram on the box of the fuse panel you can always go online and pull up the year make and model and then say diagram for fuse box
Dude, you asked here but you didn't check google? There are countless diagrams for VW on web.
Hello did you figure out on your 2014. I have a 2013 that I'm trying to put on any advice?
@@ricardov8633 Try google to find your fuse box diagram or the owners manual.
@@ricardov8633 I ended up just pulling the bundle of wires going to the coils and wired it there
I have xts 2019 in which fuse I should insert ????
Parking light fuse works fine
It depends on how you want to do it but the reason why I chose the parking lights was because that fuse was only powering parking lights I've had some bad experiences plugging it into something they had a computer or it would powering the multiple different things if it ever shorts out you may have a problem so I would think about that before you plug it into a relay or fuse make sure the fuses like a something that's not going to shower or anything out like a cigarette lighter or parking lights or something like daytime running headlights something that's just powering one thing and one thing only but if it's powering multiple stuff and then in the computers tied into it I wouldn't do it because if you lose voltage in the computer you can lose something comes in your go wrong so that's why I choose the parking lot because it was just easy power and it came on when the parking
I have a 2022 ford Edge where should I put the power wires?
If you're meaning to wear to find the power just look at your fuse panel should tell you exactly what fuses you have find something that's not requiring a computer like a a tail light of fuse or a auxiliary fuse or a instrument panel fuse or even a parking light fuse something like that
Good video, but tie it in to a fuse not a relay. The fuses protects the relays. Good video just switch it to a fuse
I get that going to a fuse instead of a relay but the reason why I'm using the relay and the parking light only is because one is not drawing that much power I could plug a 9-volt up to in there and actually work so it's not taking away that much power and I wanted it to come off the parking light because when I hit the button I wanted to light up and it only comes on when I have the parking lights on they want soffits off so it's not hurting that extra power it worked perfectly fine on the gray ones so it shouldn't be an issue I mean if I wanted if you want if I could I'll just get a fuse and tied into the relay if that makes it a big thing but it's not drawing that much power to power up those lights
Ditto on using a fuse. If the wires get shorted better just have a fuse to replace than a relay
fix it Daniel do you do car service for other people or just you? I do not want to mess up my car. I noticed that you have VA tags I'm in VA also, can you install my lights?
Ya, I do where in VA do you live.
@@fixitdaniel hello prince george
@@belkdionne3154 close but not far.
You think this would work with my 04 SRX?
Sure it should work on any vehicle you just have to line it up and make sure it's going to show whatever it is that you're trying to get out of the vehicle that's all
@fixitdaniel I'm definitely going to do it. 💯
@@TruGentleman78 yeah definitely try it they come in different colors too check out the link below

Can find that fuse on my Mercedes’ E400
I would think so. Just don't use a fuse that powers a computer some thing complex on your car. Thats why use my parking light relay.
Hey I like all 3 I got the link for the 1 link can u drop the link for the other 2 plz I have a cadillac cts also

You do a good job of explaining things but you should try to shorten up your video. I wasnt even going to bother watching it because of how long it is so there may be alot of other people who feel the same way/ You dont want to deter prospective fans and subscribers. Just friendly advice...I subscribed.
Thanks thanks I'll do that.
😣 All of this is Wrong! The connection, the glue, the ties! WRONG!
It was first time putting one these in. I did a better installing on my white one.
Cameraman not good at all
Dam this guys was awful at this installation! It’s by far the worse stet up I’ve seen so far! I’m no expert and mi Ram 1500 look like it was installed by the factory! In fact quite a few guy’s approach me asking if that’s the way I bout my truck!
What a shit install. Wire it into an ACC fuse with a fuse tap instead of a relay.
