She just kind of floated around the stage and made a few simple moves that played into the style of the song. And it WORKED. A lipsync doesn't have to be all acrobatics and death drops if you can work the feel of the song. :3

I loved her on her season because she didn't play dirty. Anytime she said something shady, it was all in good fun and never hateful. She proved that you don't have to be a bitch to make it to the top on RPDR.
I also like this song because she marries her culture and personality into everything she does. Bob's win was valid and I love Bob but Kim Chi was absolutely amazing.

What i love about Kimchi is that she always included her culture in nearly every thing she did. I'm sure other queens have done it as well, but i've never seen it done the way Kimchi does it, from hanboks to her native language. Stay proud mama

I knew there was a reason why this dance number made me feel uncomfortable. It's like you're trying celebrate body positivity, the inclusion of feminine gay men, and the inclusion of Asian men within the gay community. Yet the backup dancers are muscular white men(1 guy out of all them was black tho, but still it's 1 guy only) who have probably had "no fats, no fems, no asians" written on their profile and then quickly deleted it after learning what song they were gonna be dancing to, that is if they were willing to make some kind of change or whatever. That's assuming if they were even gay........
However I don't think it's that deep...

That was honestly such a powerful performance. They took everything Kim Chi was insecure about, all the negative stereotypes and gave her a song that turned it into such a powerful "shove it" song. Seriously an empowering song imo and she delivered it so gracefully in her own fashion and we all freaked out when she started dancing in the end. Doesn't matter if the dance wasn't polished. It was like she defeated all her demons with that performance and that's why it'll always be my favourite performance from this finale.

I'm gon tell you this is why this is sensational: 1. She wears a female hanbok, traditional Korean clothing that nowadays people only wear in weddings or in very formal occasions. 2. The shoes are also pairing with the hanbok, not that she chose to wear flats, they are the traditional shoes. 3. She presses the message she had during the season with a song that pokes fun in the fact that she can't dance. 4. It has a Korean verse 5. She's the 1st South Korean drag queen on TV and boy she makes sure to represent the language, culture, abd beauty in a very respectful way she ain't no Raja wearing indigenous or champa outfit she ain't no willam wearing hijab she aint no white queen wearing kimono cheongsam of other cultures like they're just outfits. She doesn't perpetuate Asian stereotypes like that Filipino queen. And I actually live for this perf I was very underwhelmed by Bob's perf because the song wasn't very good and her look really doesn't come through. I'm still for Bob's win tho

Here's why I loved Kim Chi's dancing bit at the end. So yeah it was arm flailing, Queens like Alyssa and Kennedy may not have an excuse for that dancing but such a big part of Kim Chi's story was about her growing up as such an awkward person who doesn't know how to work her body (and man did it show) so I thought it was hilarious that very, "you know what, I can't dance but I'm gonna bust a groove anyway." I mean you never seen a scene in a movie where an actor clearly can't dance but does anyway and thought, "damn they can't dance but boy is it entertaining"? Come on, Road Trip? Napoleon Dynomite? That one was iconic... nah this is drag world so obviously she has to do a split or a death drop to get praise from this bias fanbase right? Whatever, I was entertained. I'll be waiting for a gif of it to hit the internet. lol Good job Kim, you didn't win but you and Naomi are just as big winners to me.

Everyone has said, even before it aired on TV after the taping, that Bob's was the best of the night. I am by no means a Kim Chi stan following a hivemind. I just truly enjoyed it more than Bob's because Bob has done WAY better. Way way waaaaay better.
