Katya's verse passes the Bechtel's test of drag queen verses, she doesn't mention getting the crown, she didn't even mentions RuPaul
THIS is why her verse is iconic I think: it's entirely about her drag persona, so it transcends her being on the competition while also giving more depth to the character she's created. The Ru callouts felt very ass-kissy to me, even in the other verses that I enjoyed.

TBH Detox's whole verse and choreo were pretty good. The self-deprecation wasn't as cringe as Roxxxy's and was more charming, and her flow and delivery killed. She just got sandwiched between Alaska and Katya, who slayed and left no survivors.

Because her character is a Russian who has English as a second language. I am guessing he actually researched how people who learn English as a second language often speak it more correctly than those who grew up with it. If that is so then talk about putting in the extra work was worth it.
I have burst out laughing publicly when I have seen people use a new immigrants use of English as an insult, others stop and watch. They say to my "Why are you laughing?" I replied truthfully that their victims use of the Queens English is 100% better than theirs and is the correct usage of it. Others start laughing at them then, though that is when I worry as I have been attacked twice but that won't stop me.
