Some parts were literally made funnier than others. Mariah Carey had a full ass skit instead of a song. Not even fair.

@@CitrusZest013 hmmm you're right. But I still think she was better than Kennedy. Milk's lipsync was on point but that outfit and the entire look was not Celine, so I thought he should've been in the bottom 3 atleast.
Also Thorgy's improvement on a past look outfit wasn't that good. And to be fair, Katya's runways look that episode was awful. Katya said herself that she didn't like that dress.
I hate the look in the face of the judges during Thorgyâs performance, she was so accurate AND charismatic
Most of it is also edited by production to make certain queens look bad.
She wasnât funny or entertaining.
I know Ru laughed irl at, "I'm a little dizzy Ru." She's howled at laughter over much, much less. They definitely edited that unimpressed glare in.

to be fair, at least ben's was actually decently difficult choreography and her lip sync was rather difficult as well compared to the others, so hers sitll showed a lot of talent.

@@theguybrarian Yes! My point is that there's usually a role that's meant to shine more than the others, so there's always someone on disadvantage. And now that I think about, that's the same with many roles in the acting challenges.

Penny in Shade season 6, Scatting lady in Glamazonian Airways (though she didn't win(, Blac China in the Kardashian season 9, Oprah in Trump season 11, Platinum Madonna in Madonna season 12. I think Cher in season 10 was pretty fair (aside from the Vixen's part maybe). Season 8 was rigged as hell but for different reasons. Did you see Kim Chi (my love) not dancing nor lip-synching in the background? Chile....

Thorgy didn't slay Stevie the look was there, yes I'll admit she did a good job, but she didn't have the right attitude, as she said during or after critiques "she didn't feel like Stevie was a LGBTQ+ diva or icon" so this impacted her performance. I do agree though that Milk should have been in the bottom that was a terrible Celine Dion.

She wouldâve benefitted from a microphone stand to recreate something similar to Stevieâs live performances of âRhiannonâ in the late 70s though. Iâm not sure why they chose to take an 80s Stevie Nicks direction with the song when 70s Stevie Nicks wouldâve been a lot more comedic.

They set Thorgy up and they played tf out of her. They literally gave her Stevie, gave her that song and choreography all for them to have stank faces when yâall gave this to her. She was literally set up to fail. Thorgy could not have done a better job.
Right? And the other girls overshadowed her because of that. Thorgy said she would do all stars again on purse first impressions. Best part about that
Is she was apparently contacted for all stars 7! I don't like queens having a second chance for all stars (apart for all stars 1 girls I don't mind that at all) but she was played.
@@AshleyTutss I agree. They were the ones that gave her this role so to act like she was doing bad is ridiculous. There is nothing she could have possibly done to make that role better. I love Thorgy. And I agree I do not like queens getting multiple All Stars chances. Especially since there has been so many amazing queens thatâs havenât even been on ONCE yet there are queens who have been on All Stars twice. And thereâs about to be a queen going on her THIRD All Stars season and Iâm so irritated by that.

This was rigged. I totally got Stevie from Thorgy. Milk's Celine was horrendous. Also, can we just talk about Aja's Amy?? Loved it.

This Rusical was a set up for Thorgy and Shangela in opposite ways.
Also for Trixie and Bebe in my opinion. Trixie is so inspired by Dolly Parton, even with an ok performance she would have embodied her well enough to stay safe. And Bebe to me was literally just being Bebe on stage and everyone was amazed.
@@icancounttopotato18 this backfired on Trixie cause she had Dolly Parton for Snatch Game but she couldn't do it anymore so she had to pick the disastrous RuPaul snatch. Bebe atleast was okay. That's usually what Diana Ross does so we can't reallt judge her for that.

Kathleen Villeneuve im confused on what you expected bebe to do for diana ross
Iâm a massive stevie nicks fan, and honestly thorgyâs impersonation wasnât that bad. You could clearly see who she was
I thought it was very solid
I literally GREW UP on Stevie Nicks and Stevie Nicks alone until I was about 14. Not even kidding. When they said Thorgy didnât do enough as Stevie I was legit shocked. She looked the part, she acted the part. Trust me, I know (as Iâm sure you do), she played the part PERFECTLY and there was no reason she should have even been in the bottom. High or safe at least. Makes NO SENSE that she was eliminated here. Itâs been years and it still makes me upset.
As someone who made my parents watch this they were shocked when I told them she was the one who went home, the look was down pretty perfectly
The point of the challenge was to overact your character. She didnât give enough on stage, and she didnât do the choreography correctly. The impression was really good if she was supposed to be an accurate impersonator, but that was not what this challenge was.

You can't help but feel bad for Thorgy-You literally see the panel going stone faced when it got to her part -At one point you see Toddrick looking like he wants to smile or be positive, hesitates, looks over at Michelle looking bored and is like "So we're not going to encourage her performance? Okay never mind."

Thorgy was not robbed but she was definitely set up to fail. Robbed is when a queen nails a performance but doesn't win, Thorgy didn't nail anything here, since she had nothing to help here.

Judges to Thorgy: You did nothing, youâre in the bottom two.
Judges to Bebe: You did nothing, and somehow that was everything.
I said this: AS3 was setup in a way they didn't try to hide it at all, that was to shocase Shangela and bebe (mostly bebe, Shangela was a highlight even when she got in the bottom on that show), to give Trixxie the win because she was mostly safe the entire show so she didn't send anyone home and that's it. Dela was an anomaly, I'm pretty sure they never knew she was SO GOOD.
ill say as a viewer that knows nothing about diana or stevie, i enjoyed bebe's performance much more.

I have NEVER seen a more rigged challenge in any show. Especially watching it back all these years later.
Agree 100. Milk and Kennedy should have been on the bottom. Thorgy was not bad, twirling in heels is NOT easy and she nailed it, she did as much as she could have with Stevie Nicks. Bebe was gift wrapped an easy high placement because Ru loves Diana Ross, Bebe didn't even have to dance (she killed it, but it was by far the easiest impersonation).
This is why I hate musicals where they don't get to choose their characters, like in AS2 and AS3. It's VERY EASY to set people up to fail, like Katya, Ginger and Thorgy, and to win, like Alyssa, DeLa and Shangela.
Even though in most of the other musicals there's better and worse parts, the queens can choose the part, or be set up by other queens and not by production.
In real life you dont get to choose who you're cast as :D
To be fair, I donât think Dela was set up to win. I think a lot of people couldâve easily stumbled with the amount of words she had to memorize.
@@jont6942 Fair, and she did amazing, but if you did it well enough you would've landed in the top 100%, whereas, for example, Thorgy, Aja, and Trixie could do what they're supposed to do or more and wouldn't have landed in the top.

no one's gonna read this but the way that Dela had to: remember really hard lyrics, remember choreography and (the most difficult part) act as her character while lip syncing to a song that is the complete opposite of it. sooo many big props to her!

Chi Chi was so funny, she should've been a lot higher. And poor Thorgy, they really gave her scraps and expected gold. She did a good job with a mediocre role. Stevie is Iconic but not a big enough personality to stand next to those other big roles.

Watching this again, thorgy suffered from being put between shangela and dela who both knocked it out of the park. Most of the performers would have suffered between those two so she had to really, really, really, really, REALLY stand out. When she was just good. Which would be more than enough to be safe next to any of the other contestants.

Thorgy wasn't the most talented queen in the cast, sure, but even with the power of editing... Some queens were set up to win and fail.
For me, Aja is the real winner here. She was given a less favourable part, she did the best she could and she did it damn well. The make up, the look, the exaggerated movements and facial expressions. Everything was on point besides the lyrics and the choreo, and that was all Todrick.

Give Bebe the spotlight she never had (because let's be serious, no one ever knew who she was when she appeared in S7 for that shot with all the crown queens).

Dela was the anomaly, they weren't expecting her to be so fucking genial on the show, to the point they were forced to create a twist just to make sure Trixxie would win and thank god the Crew were so Stunned that Dela did what she did that they didn't try to force her to grab a liptsick and all forcing herself to retire herself without giving Rupaul the chance to say 'if you come to my house, I expect you to respect me bitch' like she did before when The Vixen tried to say no to her bullshit.
I love Trixxie, don't get me wrong, she's not the worst, but from Raw Tallent on S3?
Dela, Shangie and AJA. Those were the ones who had talent and should be the top 3. That's it.
They know so damn hard that the Twist was hated by everyone that they preffered to give the crown to two queens on AS4 the crown instead. They know they would kill the show if they tried another stunt like that. You never give the ones who lose, the right to vote who should win. They will vote for the weakest one, the one who never sent anyone home. Simple.

Barely anyone is talking about how well Trixie did. Ik it's expected of her cuz it's Dolly but to hold and pretend to play a guitar while also doing those dance moves in heels is impressive. Even in her background parts she was so good! I guess the judges/producers wanted her to seem like an underdog/unexpected but Tracy was killing the season from the start she was just robbed of being the top in some challenges imo.
I would honestly love a full version of the Amy, Dolly, and Stevie styles of these songs. They just sound so good

She and Ben both have several undeserved wins this season, while Trixie and Aja were shafted a few times each.

Thorgy was the one who chose to not do much movement and to be really stagnant with her role because she was too obsessed with how the real Stevie acts. Itâs a character. Todrick tried to do a more dynamic routine for her but Thorgy shut him down because the real stevie doesnât dance around a lot. She assisted in her own downfall.

Stevie Nicks is an icon and I love her more than anything but because sheâs this ethereal goddess youâd have to add jokes and comedy to give it a different vibe. Sheâs not really a Diva in the sense. Sheâs like a relaxing experience and Thorgy really did all they could. It was so unfair xxx

i dont like these challenges... not because they arenât entertaining but because its unfair. Of course shangela and ben are gonna be the top 2 because they got super funny written parts that they queens didnt write themselves. There isnât much you can do with mumbling or just singing when Rupaul has said themselves that he wants to laugh.
You gotta remember that this is a tv show before itâs a competition, if itâs not entertaining no ones gonna watch
i agree about shangela, but omg dela perfectly nailed julie andrews' movement and mannerisms and she had to memorize the most lines and completely nailed it
Dela had a hard song and her lipsyncing was tight. Some other queens had much less technically difficult parts and messed up more than she did.
To me the problem isn't the challenges, it's the way AS3 was set up. They never even TRIED to hide the fact that the show was rigged AND was made to:
Showcase two queens who were lost in time, Bebe and Shangela and make Trixxie Win. Because, let's be real: The queen was SAFE the entire fucking show and she won a crown because she was safe. That's it. She never took anyone out, so she got a free pass.
The look on Shangela's face when she sees that she was set up was hearbreaking. XD
One thing I remember is Milk saying to Shangela that her part was joke after joke and Shangela had the NERVE to say it wasn't! Milk should've been in the bottom 3. At least with Thorgy, you knew it was Stevie Nicks. That Celine look, really? Even Trixie was like, girl...
I didn't even notice Milk was wearing a jar of peanut butter too đ. P.S had milk did Brooke Lynn's Celine look, I'd liked her performance.
