Yes it does
I just watched this movie and really liked it. Mostly because it was legitimately funny, on point with its overall theme and driving a steak into the heart of the cultural issues of the day. I immediately went to 'Rotten Tomatoes' to check the reviews and wasn't surprised to confirm what I already expected to see. Overall negative critical reviews and overwhelming positive audience reviews. And reading the negative reviews were also just as hilarious for all of the reasons I expected.
how do you drive a steak into a person’s heart. do you put an engine in a black angus and steer it into the guy’s chest
Nah dude, you sharpen a T-bone steak duh 😂
The movie was about grown men letting their manhood go for controlling wives lol
I read a lot of reviews, and I agree with you that most of them don't know what they are talking about. And no, I do not mean a liberal or a conservative bias. I mean a generational bias, by writers who have little life experience to contrast with what is in a film, delving for its truth. The last guy I always valued his opinion was Roger Ebert. That guy knew movies because he was a smart guy, a well rounded guy
I'm absolutely stoked Bill Burr is breaking into the Directing side of the business. He 100% deserves it. Can't wait!

yooooooooo
Well if that’s the case at least he’s trying something new - putting the most brutally unfunny stuff in the trailer. Seems like a smart move …
Maybe if it was the same Bill that told off Philly in 06......this guy is barely a shell of his former self💯If only Patrice were still alive to tell him like it is!
I just hope they didn’t put any of those funny moments in the trailer because oof…
After listening to all the things he went through over the last couple of years to get this made and knowing how excited he was to direct it and finally share it with the world, I'm glad that the final result is looking fun and promising, just as I had hoped for as a fan of Big Ol' Freckles over here. It's nice to see that others seem to generally agree. I hope it turns out well for Bill, and we get to see him direct more. 🙌
I almost want to renew my Netflix subscription(dropped several years ago) just to see this show! But, no. A matter of Principle.
Bill is a white apologist, cuck. Hasn't been funny in over 15 years. The "angry, Irish" shtick was fake and now old as dirt...this guy's a hack & none of the original Comedy Cellar group even deal with him and don't respect him at all. Once he joined the clown world

Thinkin the same thing... u got shane gullies, mark Normand, now this.. & I think I'm forgetting one more
This is SOOO good. Honestly. I wish everyone would get their ego out of it and watch it. It's so much better than the preview let's on. It's actually layered and nuanced, much like his standup ... There's plenty of ridiculous jokes about left/right perspectives...but the entire point is finding the connection and meaning in the middle. Let go of preconceived opinions and laugh at this ridiculous world, but also open your mind a little bit and see if your heart and mind don't have a little moment or two among the laughs. Comedy isn't meant to protect feelings, but if you are open minded and light hearted enough you might find a lot of connection and understanding of other perspectives. The acting is phenomenal, the characters instantly hook you, and the writing is insanely realistic and at times intense. I didn't want it to end, would love a series! Bill Burr so more, excellent work. Love, an empathetic tree hugging hippie who understands the power of middle ground! Here's to anger management, respecting others, and giving everyone room at the table...even white Old Dad's.

I think they took the parts that they knew people would love and made a trailer out of it, just to pull the rug out from under you when you watch the movie.

Well, Netflix making something I want to see. Will wonders never cease?
I had no idea he had a project like this in the works. I can’t wait!
I was in tears for almost the entire movie😂😂
I do appreciate the fact that media tried to instantly promote this movie as the most unfunny thing ever lol just goes to show anytime somethings actually good or anytime some thing is simply itself media will say it is the opposite if they don’t like it😂 this movie was funny as hell I highly recommend watching it
Love Bill Burr, he's so funny, can't wait to watch this~ 🤣
