They actually do, but compared to the global viewership of a sport like soccer, the nba still falls short, that's why you see player like Ronaldo and Messi make 45 million pounds just from their salary alone, and Messi is making upwards of 108.2 million pounds this year. On top of this, they have their endorsements which make them rise well above a 100 million

  • @llydrsn

We can also consider the fact that MLB has a complete farm system where their rookies are. So while the 40 man roster dictates the numbers to be considered for the salary cap, there is another $5 million or so that they set aside for the farm teams (with each team having their own staff plus more personnel needed for scouting). The NBA has the G league, but I believe it is only recently when all the NBA teams owned their own G-League team. Some teams even shared one D-League (as it was called back then) like the Idaho Stampede before it was purchased by the Utah Jazz.

In the NBA, a good player (but not an all star) earns that. Only exceptions in football are messi, ronaldo, neymar, and others. Other exceptions in other sports include Trout, Mahomes, Brady, Prescott, others. And also, a decent player coming off the bench in the NBA earns around 6-8 million. The NFL is guaranteed at LEAST $125.5 Billion in JUST TV money by 2033. The league is going to be raking in highly likely much more on this deal alone when looking at it's structure. The NFL has 30 of the Top 50 Most Valuable Sports Franchises in the World (NBA - 6, MLB - 5). If the NFL got rid of their 'Hard Cap' system, they could easily top the highest paid players as the teams overall have more money to spend then any other league in the world. BTW 'global viewership' or the globality of a sports team or league doesn't mean anything but just that. Those 'more global' teams of said league aren't bringing in more money or viewership numbers overall than more regional leagues of just the U.S. alone (NFL). Having less players to pay on each team technically does NOT mean they HALF to pay each player a higher or lower certain sum of money in comparison to another league or team in their own league. That's each team's choosing as to what they will pay along with market competition of what another team will offer. Especially when there is no Hard Cap.

The top premier league teams could potentially play the following amount of games.
38 is the base, it's what you play in the league.
Not going to look it up but they have 2 cups where they play about 5 games up to the final I think. If they reach both that's 10.
      48
If they qualified for the champions league last year they'll play 6 games in the group stage.
      54.
Another 7 games to the final of the champions league.
      61.
      2 more trophee games potentially.
      63.
About 7 games for the club world cup.
      70.
This is obviously the maximum and rather unrealistic to be clear. I just wanted to correct the 35...no idea where that came from.
There's a reason teams generally focus on one of these things over the longer period. A good team knocked out of the cups and that only has to focus on the league tends to be a difficult opponent.
A team that has a knockout game 3 days later(play Sunday and Wednesday after for example) will often have star players sit one out.

    • @muhammadfarhan581
      @muhammadfarhan581 Před 2 lety

I don't understand your logic. Changing big teams is good for sport. It made it unpredictable. It also means more chance for other team for glory. We will never see west ham or everton in top 4, let alone win the epl bcos of that old fashion thinking. So you want just the same old teams winning year after year after year after year??? You must be a football fans. Football fans always hate changes. They succumb to the fact that some teams has history and some don't and be done with it. That's why when small team like man city suddenly become big due to sheik money, all football fan hate it.
