    I test drove the Palisade, CX-90 TSPP, and the Telluride. The Mazda was absolutely the best - in appearance, options, handling, etc. I feel confident I made the best choice.

    Good review. I test drove the CX-9 and the 2024 Acura MDX. I was really impressed with how well the CX-9 compared to the Acura, it felt just as solid and equally luxurious for around 15k less.
    I went with the CX-90 PHEV Premium plus because it amped things up over the CX-90 and it was $5,000.00 cheaper than the Acura MDX Advanced that had the equivalent features to the Mazda. Plus, my wife liked it more…if she wanted me to spend 15-20k more who was I to argue😁.

    Just FYI Mazda just dropped the prices on CX90 , between 2000 and 4000dollars .Top trim drops to around 56K now 👍

      @@GQ37official They need to allow CX90 nonS trims to benefit from 93 octanes for healthy power upgrade and than it would make sense ...
      CX90 nonS is the only Mazda turbo that does NOT allow power gain with 93 octane and I hate when Mazda plays politics like that !

      @@kdomster9141 yea even the base inline 6 models should have the 340hp tune just like the 2016+ cx-9 had the same engine output across the board with 93.

      Sure why not , maybe base trim like Select at 37K now could be straight inline 6 for those who do not care for more power .
      Base 280hp from just regular gas makes no sense on such large vehicles where Koreans generic Kia and Hyundai are getting 290hp from old school V6 .
      If that 119lbs or torque from electric assist engine could somehow aid the acceleration at start and be combined with 332lb from I6 than 450lbsft would be a beast ...somehow Mazda missed the boat on combining both electric and gasoline power trains ....just Imagine 3.3 turboS power with added electric engine HP and TQ combined ... it would slam with almost 500lbsft and 360hp . Mazda will not chase BMW or Mercedes with 6 seconds to 60mph . Maybe such trim should be build as performance trim for extra 5K ?

      @@kdomster9141 agreed there’s some untapped potential there and missed opportunity. I like Mazda, but I’m not sure what they’re doing. The whole Cx70 thing being the same as the Cx90 without the third row, yet costing the exact same is a bit confusing. I like the looks of the red interior, but just make that a color option on the cx90 and keep the rear seats folded down. I think it would have made more sense to bring the Cx60 to the US market. I also hope they bring the Mazda 6 back with the inline 6. That one could really be competitive performance-wise if they utilized electric motors with the inline 6 like you mentioned!

    Hi, did you notice the lagging transmission issues that many are talking about? I remember you switched to sport mode from Regular/EV mode. Your thoughts!!!!

    • @GQ37official
      @GQ37official  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes I talked more about that in my first review comparing it to the cx9. It definitely hesitates going from first to 2nd or when you’re crushing and mash the gas to accelerate it definitely has hesitation to downshift. I’ve noticed this with a lot of newer vehicles, I suspect trying to meet newer emissions standards has changed gear ratios etc as this is becoming more common. That’s probably why going back to my cx9 it felt more responsive and quicker off the line (in addition to being primary fwd pull vs push) the cx90 feels good when it gets going but it never has that push you in your seat feeling. However, the 340hp variant is better than the 280hp one and that’s what I really wanted to find out.

      @@GQ37officialYou really need to test drive the PHEV, it is quicker than the Turbo S. However, it lacks some of the features you can get in the Turbo S trims though.
