I tried not to make a 30min video of it but i hope i covered everything. The reverse motor got in the way when i tried to remove just the cover of the diamond drive. You may be able to get just the cover off if you remove the toe stops. Might give you enough room for the reverse motor to clear. When taking the clutch off you do not have to mess with the springs with the special tool like i did. All that needs to be removed is the bolt in the center.

Do you have to remove the diamond drive to change the reverse actuator?

no the actuator is above where your left foot would be when your riding.
