    awesome video, very informative. Just a tip: when you're filming a video like this with a GoPro mounted on your chest, GoPro's don't show objects in shadows or darkness as well as a digital camera, so when you show, for example, the planetary gears inside the diamond drive and how they go in, if you set up a trouble light or flashlight to illuminate it while you're doing it, makes it a lot easier to see on video.
    Tip#2: the thin steel "C-shaped" clips that are used to seperate the parts: they're called "circlips".
    Another tip: if you're having trouble getting the outer race of the bearing out, heat the edge up with a small propane torch, it'll pop right out. Vice versa, when installing the new bearings: Put the new bearing in the freezer for 10 minutes, heat the edges of the gear case where the bearing is going into with a propane torch, when it's nice and hot, quickly pull the bearing out of the freezer and it will slide right into the hole with minimal effort (steel expands when heated, and contracts when cooled).
    Cheers mate, keep up the videos, very helpful for a guy like me! You've saved me a lot of money!

My equipment is not very high-quality so the videos are what they are. Anyways I'll pin your comments as there is some good advise you posted Thanks!

    Did you just use a vise to press the bearings on? Thanks

    • @KcYukon
      @KcYukon  Před 6 lety

      That bearing should slide off and on with little work. I would use something like a socket and place it on the inner circle of the bearing and then tap it on with a hammer. Inner circle of the bearing must be used for contact. hope that helps cheers.
