What is the "sport" drive option for ? some guy told me its for when u drag things with your car , but can that be used as a regular gear to use on the daily as well and what advantages does that give the driver ? there is also an option to pull the gear to the right side , what does that ?
I bought a Audi Q2 2018 model (stronic) and I shifted it to Manual mode by mistake and drove continuously for an hour without realizing that it was in manual. I'm worried if this might damage the transmission. Does the car change the gear automatically in case the driver forgets to do so? Thanks in advance for your answer:)
I would think this shifter would make it into all the cars in the Audi lineup. The A3 is about due for an redesign.Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I own Audi Q5 with the same shifter. Can’t understand how quickly shift from R to D. Drive this car for half a year but always shift gears by moving a shifter twice (R-N-D; D-N-R). Please explain me how did u make it. Thanks! (Sorry for my language).
For some reason, this shifter looks like it was designed backward. R is in the upper part, and D is at the back, ..I dont like that you press a button to park. Good video Btw.
Being my first car with automatic transmission, i don't find anything to press a button for park. Maybe it's about learning curve. And D is bottom because S switch, way easier and faster a quick down
Friend has one of these. What an experience. Congrats to those of you who have this car!
Thanks man.
thanks for a straight to the point video, very helpful
It would be great if Audi put the back-up camera into the Virtual Cockpit, since that's a bigger screen and it's right in front of the driver.
thanks for this
Great video, thanks for the info :)

James Huffmar the actual shifter of audi a3 is better
Bryan Newton , I tried this morning drive and sport modes and revs remain the same below 1000. Do you know why? Thanks
Have someone tried to press P while on highway at 140 km/h?
How to tug A4? How to put it Neutral?
Thanks for the video, Do you also know the meaning of the down arrow?(under D/S)
It changes gears between drive (D) and sports (S) mode.
I’ve only had mine for a couple days, and I still have to think before I shift
anyone that needs this video would not be able to open an internet browser! Have you thought about showing them how to add windshield washer fluid?
May I know what is that plus and minus signs for on the gear?
+ for going a gear up and - to go a gear down
