I'm literally almost crying. Lzzy is the best person you'll probably ever meet in the entire world.
I haven't met her yet, but it's my goal.
I've been tweeting Lzzy since January about the ending of my battle with self harm. I've been battling it for 2 years and this year is my quitting point. January 15th, I tweeted Lzzy Hale, thanking her for inspiring me to stay strong and how I was 24 days clean. She tweeted me back telling me she was proud of me. That was the first time she had ever tweeted me back and I cried so much because I wasn't expecting her to tweet me back. She's been tweeting me back every month since then and now, tomorrow, I will be 4 months clean.
If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have such motivation to keep going. She motivates me to keep on going. I look forward to tweeting her every time I'm a whole new month clean and that's what's keeping me strong.

LindseyTime And I had never heard of you or the song Shatter Me until this morning. WMMR in Philly posted a link from yesterday's performance on Good Morning America with Lzzy. I'm a HUGE Halestorm fan so I had to watch. When I saw you playing a violin I was instantly curious and then BLOWN AWAY by the song and the chemistry between the two of you. You are both beautiful, incredibly talented ladies. You definitely made the right choice in vocalists and must check her out live. I watched some of your videos, you have a new fan - The Grog from PA

When you kind of shared the story behind the song and when Lzzy belted out the chorus, it makes me teary-eyed. The song is pure beauty. Although it was the whole thing, I can say that the song is as powerful as Lzzy's voice. I means something to me and I want to thank you for sharing your passion and art. I've been following Lzzy for a quite sometime now and it blows me away that you're collaborating. Keep up the good work!
My mind is like blown. I've downloaded almost all of Halestorms vids and Lindsey's, and to see them together...phenomenal.
You don't need to be a fan of Halestorm to know that Lzzy was the perfect vocalist for this track.

People that say that the violin is old and it's too classic and for old people, they amuse me. I tell them that they don't even know at what level is the violin right now and how much it really rocks. Just simply amazing.
When Lizzy "screams" with a "scratched voice" that 'A' in "Shatter Me" is my favourite part of the lyrics. And right after that my favourite violin part of yours. The Dubstep with the several notes played in that part... all in all I loved the song! ;)

I just discovered Halestorm a week or two ago through a multifandom video and fell in love with they're music. Then decided to see what Lindsey's album would song like since I saw Lzzy post about it on twitter, I had known about Lindsey for sometime know but was super happy when I heard the snippet of the song.
This is an excellent song. It blows me away each time I listen to it. I'm a Sunday morning organist and it's always great to have a large hymn that necessitates the use of pulling out the stops on the Chorus Reeds and Mixtures, that send chills up a person's spine. I look for songs that are just as empowering outside of Church repertoire. This wonderful song delivers such a driving power it gives me goosebumps from it's meaning and sound. I am impressed as to how well you deliver even in your live performances. Most artists this day in age lose control of their stage performances because their ears lie to them, but you always deliver spot on regardless of being in the Studio, live tv or concerts. Thank you again for such a wonderful song!
I'd like to go on the record and say I think more people than you realize understand the depth of what you are trying to say with your music even without words. Having said that, I'm looking forward to what you do with the poetry available in lyrics, and this has me even more pumped for the album.

I've been listening to the previews on Amazon, and immediately latched onto Shatter Me (the song, although the entire album is awesome), declaring it one of my favorites. A couple of weeks later, this comes out.

Seriously, like, I watched and listened and was like "whaoh, she's got lyrics now!" which makes it even better, then I was like "okay, who is this Lizzy chick." you were looking for powerhouse rocker chick, I think you nailed it. When that first chorus comes up and she's all "SHATTER ME" its SO powerful...seriously, you feel like everything's literally gonna shatter hahaha. this was awesome, and thank you for sharing a bit of what the song is about, its extremely powerful and uplifting all at once. You're an amazing person, I can't wait for this album! And I can't wait to see you, and hopefully meet you!
this is amazing, classical music on violin with an upbeat dubstep melody background and a rocking powerhouse vocalist. I was blown away on how amazing it all went together. Lzzy seems like an amazing person too! Congrats Lindsey and Lzzy for an amazing job and a memorable song track and album! Can't wait to see you on tour in Boston in June!

This song is so powerful that, even though I have heard it a million times, it still brings tears to my eyes when Lzzy belts out "shatter me." I really don't know how you are going to top this song, Lindsey. I went out and bought the CD at Target the day it was released because of this song. Absolutely amazing.
Lzzy Hale is a real powerhouse, her vocals on the chorus give me chills. amazing what she does with her voice. I disocvered Halestorm a while back and I love them, specially because of Lzzy's voice.

I'll admit I had never heard of Lzzy Hale, or Halestorm for that matter... but because I love Lindsey Stirling's music, I didn't think twice when it come across my screen.... well, I think now at this point, some of my family and friends are so tired of me playing this song EVERYTIME i get in the car, or if I'm doing stuff around the house. One of my favorite songs to blast any chance I get.

I absolutely love Lzzy Hale, too! (and Lindsey). I had the awesome opportunity to go backstage and interview Lzzy for my "Celebrating Women in Metal" Book that released a couple months ago. She & her bandmates were so hospitable and down to earth!

Lindsey, I absolutely fell in love with the song! I would suggest trying Celine Dion as well... as a celine fan, we always end up loving the people celine helps outs! Gosh Groban, Garou, Veronic Dicaire, etc.

I was almost brought to tears by this... Not only are you so extremely talented with your dancing, violin and many other thing, not only did you mention God in one of your videos, but you also mentioned an eating disorder. You didn't say much about it, but it was enough to inspire me since I also have a chronic eating disorder that has been a thorn in my side for years now, and I'm still suffering from it. Just hearing you say that gives me the hope that I can be successful someday at the things that I love and my art. It gives me hope that despite having this sickness, I can pull through and be a recognized artist like you someday. I mean, I'm not really talented in the musical industry, I love singing, but my passion lies with drawing. I've been feeling so discouraged lately, and seeing this video has raised my spirits up. I can't wait to hear the song! I'm pretty sure it'll give me frissions. Thank you so much.

Shatter Me is my favorite song from you, miss Stirling., now I can understand how this song struck me so strongly. This song, THIS SONG, sort of produced an epiphany for me, like a muse. As a result, another story of mine was born. I am almost done completing the first version of the story. I'll have to recruit and editor and a collaborator to improve how the story is explained, than will most certainly have it published. It will mean a lot to me if you would read at least the rough version of the story when I'm done. I'm soon to complete it. It's called Color Me in Serenity and it's posted on various sites right now. I won't leave blue links, because that may be considered suspicious, but you can google, bing or ask the story and it will show up. Point being said, you, Hale and the Shatter Me video have been a significant inspiration to me, so thank you a lot.

I never heard of Lizzy Hale before. After listening to Shatter Me, I began to listen to her and I kind of enjoy her music. So thank you, Lindsey, discovering her for me.
Its so cool and ironic, I found Lindsey while searching for Skyrim videos, of all things, and came across her cover of it. Since then, I've discovered so many more talented artists I had never listened to before thanks to Lindsey's collaborations.

This sounds really silly..but I was just watching behind the scenes of the We are the world video..and like with Lzzy..it's so jarring these days to see a singer just belt out amazing lyrics live. These days everything is so produced/tweaked/autotuned you forget sometimes what real singers sound like and how powerful that can be. Rock on girls!

Hey Lindsey! You're new album is just amazing, I love how you're able to add so many different elements of music into one song (like this one) and others like when you're with a piano player and on top of it all there's always that electronic /dance feel. I know my opinion probably doesn't mean much hahaha but I think you should add not commonly used instruments to your songs. Specifically a vibraphone or a marimba (which is a big xylophone). I play these instruments myself and love playing your song spontaneous me on the marimba! It made me so happy just to hear the glockenspiel for a short time at the beginning of shatter me and I'd absolutely love if you could add a marimba into one of your songs :) If you've read this far I'd just like to say thank you for your time and I hope you continue to have fun and enjoy making music!

What I love about Halestorm is that they've brought back that fun, head-banging hard rock that I loved from the 80's. While it's not the exact same music, it still has that feel....for me at least. From the bits and pieces I heard from this video, I'm on board!

I wasnt really sure how it was going to go, but the first time i watched the "Shatter Me" video, i was blown away, it gave me goosebumps and to this day i still listen to it daily haha. I remember how when I first heard the teaser for the song in this video, I literally cried because #1 it was incredible and #2 my hype-o-meter basically blew up and I couldn't wait to hear the album.
