Best part of us drafting Rome is that we don't have to rush him into that wr1 role right away. He gets to learn from Keenan and DJ and eventually take over as wr1
Briggs! One of my favorite Bears LBs ever!
I remember in high school Lance Briggs came and did a workout with our team. Brother Rice HS it was a crazy dope experience
I'll take an AZ summer over a summer in the south that humidity is worse than the dry heat
I saw Odunze several games last year. And the guy that he reminded me of was Terell Owens without the crazy!
Funny thing is a read a article earlier, and it shows that their measurements and statistics are almost identical.
Love Lance Briggs and his expertise, plus that attitude is all 🐻
Ray Guy was a 1st rounder
i forgot about him he was half of raiders offence lol
He was over drafted
23rd Just win baby.
Guy was ahead of his time. Damn good athlete as well
I was lucky enough to see Ray Guy warm up and punt against the Bears many years ago. Also I went to 3 Hawkeye games this last year, this guy can punt and is going to surprise the shit out of you.
Lance blowing his nose had Pat shook 🤣
Strange behavior... during a live
Hey Lance, so good to see you again BearsFam 💙🧡
Did u really see him
PTD, Lance, J-Mc, Jurko, and Courtney!!! ALWAYS enjoy and learn from these podcasts! Thank you for the great content!
love listening to you guys.. thank you.
everytime we get a defensive player to jump for a free play just throw it up for Odunze
Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs play together nine years Lance Briggs head to better stats in five of those years he needs to be in the Hall of Fame
I totally agree with your assessment. Briggs and Urlacher should have gone in together. They were synonymous with Bears Defense.
9:38 Ayo, Lance. Ma boy.....We gon have mute that mic if we gotta blow that nose/sneeze 🤧.
👊🏽🐻⬇️
crazy work lol
Dawg 😂I’m like is this real life? Lmaooo mf on an ESPN podcast blowing his nose to hell😂
Briggs was a monster on the field
Ray Guy is in the Hall of Fame. Hope the new guy is that good.
1. Todd Sauerbrun was a 2nd round pick for our beloved home team (56 overall) in '95.
2. Odunze is a clone of a young Mike Evans...
Evans is closer to Johnson as an athlete than Odunze is compared to Evans. Really good prospect though
Just think Rome is faster
People forget how fast and agile Mike Evans was coming out of A & M. Only time has slowed him down and he put on a little weight. But, that's basically Rome. Just check the film
It's been 90s lol love u Briggs
So funny i associate Lance Briggs with high heat.. He used to host a football camp out here in Northern California for the high school kids, i went to one with my nephew, was a record hot day at like 100 in the shade.
Was a good time i met Tim Jennings and a few bears players
The Bears drafted Todd Sauerbrun in the 2nd Rd. In 1995 at pick 56. He played 15 years in the NFL, 2 time All Pro, 3 time Pro Bowler.
The Bears actually tried to teach him how to punt. And he sucked till he left Chicago.
But couldn’t even make that playoffs that year
Hey Pat Please get a preshow message to Lance to cool it with the snot swallowing and get one good one just before you go on air and after you go off air
Ray guy, magical punter, drafted 23rd overall by the Raiders in 1973. Tory Taylor is the latest player to win the Ray Guy Award for the best punter in college football in 2023-2024. Drafted #122 by Da Bears.
@16:31... California is not the "show me state*.... it's Missouri
Players taken low as udfa like players poles picked up. Could surprise the league. A diamond in the rough. Given time and polish they will become great in the future
The sky's the limit. If Rome is half of what we hope he'll be being a 3rd option will still give him a chance to shine. That would equal zero double teams for any receiver.
Like DJ said it'll be a race to 1000 yards. Imagine this for a second, 3 Bears recievers with 1000 yards! 4 if you throw in DeAndre Swift and Caleb throws for 4000 + yards and 35 TD's. Can you say "PLAYOFFS".
Funny thing is if Marvin and Rome were both available at 9 we woulda taken Marvin 100% lol. Let’s calm down
Source? 😜
@@Red87star common sense lol
Pat and Lance, you DO realize that Caleb’s got one of IF NOT the QUICKEST releases right? Our O Line will be just fine.
Obviously Poles has his reasoning for drafting that punter. And honestly his tape is pretty awesome
Bears punters Chris Gardocki 3rd rd. 1991. Todd Saurbrun 2nd rd. 1995. Tory is “only” drafted in 4th round. Also. Brad Maynard was drafted by the Giants in the 3rd in 1997 and later signed by Chicago in 2000.
I personally really have been a loyal lifetime lifelong CHICAGO BEARS SUPPORTER/fan since 1972 was only six years old. ROME ODONZE, WAS BE KNOWN AS A HIGH SCHOOL SPINTER ACCORDING BY. MARK HARMON.
How fast was alshon?
1995 Chicago Bears picked Todd Sauerbrun in the second round.
Todd Sauerbrun was 2nd rounder, gardocki in the 3rd.
You can’t compare the Mich game to the NFL bc against Mich he was the #1 on the scouting report. Wash had decent receivers but no where near level of talent that the Bears have so hopefully he’ll feast all season.
Ray Guy was selected 23rd overall
Is wondering...With Tramaine Edmunds length, strength, and athletism could he play on the defensive line as an edge or DT?
Noah Sewell is a better linebacker than Edmunds and he has to play more next season.
Missouri is the show me state lol
Y’all better cook.
Chicago already has two bona fide number one receivers. He isn’t going to outshine Marvin in the near future
Bears had better roster a solid and experienced backup QB. They are one Caleb Williams injury away from having to shelve their entire season as well as the seasons of their stellar WR's.
Briggs u just eat that boogie?
Eureka! I'm a fan of Lance but Missouri is the real "Show Me State"...but it's all good.
I love Lance but Missouri is the only show me state. We stand by that. Don't tell me nothing. SHOW ME.
I feel Rome is gonna benefit from this dangerous WR group, more so in the first half. Once teams start realizing what a threat Rome is he may get the double teams. Either way, I agree teams will need to pick their poison, BFD baby!
Pick your poison. Double team Rome, let DJ and Keenan score. Revert back, Rome scores. Flood the secondary with a LB to help? Kmet, Everett, swift hit you there.
He could be like a Julio Jones
You draft em where you know you can get him. Alex was an assassin. Btw with the exception of Sanborn, i don’t see too many guys on Flu’s defense able to drop guys where they hit em. Most get dragged a few yards often. So maybe we needed another linebacker. So maybe you’re right.
That’s called the modern NFL you aren’t allowed to hit
The bears drafted punter Todd Sauerbron in the 2nd round in the 1995 draft.
Lance using his microphone as a Kleenex 😂
Mute button is a thing. I use it in bathroom while on calls often 😅. Ker-plunk!
@@Red87star😂
Bears drafted a punter in the 2nd round back in 95. Todd Sauerbrun
Didn’t even make the playoffs, so who cares
Best comp for Rome is prime Jordy Nelson.
Honestly only feel like he went 9 because of the school he was at. Even tho they were excellent. They view these schools as a brand.
Jawanoski 1 round 1st pick
Rome comp is DJ Moore.
Tod Sauerbran was a Econ’s round pick
Todd Saurebrun was a 2nd round pick...
Both punter and kicker have been taken 1st round, think both were by the Raiders...
Ray Guy RAIDERS
Ray Guy - 1st round
Rome is gonna be the best of the bunch. Nabers will be good to. Marvin is a stud as well but someth seems off with marvin. His tape allbe it great shows a lack of tougness and pouting on it
Missouri is the show me state, not California.
Ray guy
Comp....Dk Metcalf....I think Dk is a lil faster but Rome can track the ball better and has better agility....
Everybody think rome is gonna gake a back seat because of whonis in front of him. I think rome takes off right away. Ge will be the bears number 1 wr by seasons end
DJ moore will be still. Guys such a monster with the ball
Tj who's your mama?
I think the bears got the safest high upside wr in the draft nabers has the ability to be the best by far but his personality might hold him back.
Man I think Marv is still the guy but couldn't get em
Yo, Lance, you’re making a ton of extracurricular noises. Y’alright??
I hope #15 Rome picks up where #15 Brandon Marshall left off!
2023 stats for Marvin Harrison Jr: 67 rec, 1211 yards and 14 TDs
Malik Nabers: 89 rec, 1569 yards and 14 TDs
Rome Odunze: 92 rec, 1640 yards and 13 TDs and thats not including his playoff numbers which he ripped both defenses lola
Rome Odunze is the most complete and ive heard multiple people say he js not that athletic which is CAP lol we got a steal boys lol its no way he shouldve fell to 9, i wanted him over everybody because him and DJ Moore are a perfect match for a long time to come and Keenan can give us bout 2-3 more years if we can lock him in on a contract after the year or Tyler Scott can learn from Keenan and become our slot and we all know Kemet and Everett are going to hold their own, boys let Poles cook lmaoooo
I love rome but I do think nabers is better. But him being in NY gonna hurt his stock for me
One played with heisman trophy winner 1 played with the 8th pick and 1 played with someone who transferred to Syracuse. lol
This channel says whatever is popular. Which is why it's very NATIONAL ESPN like. Saying anything for likes
This just crazy Harrison the best receiver from class all the homer talking points has to stop
Quit dreaming. Not with Caleb at qb
We shut down houshman because of peanut most likely
Marvin Harrison is in a different stratosphere from Rome Odunze
He's not. Stop drinking the Bears Kool Aid.
The black guy in the white frame is unwatchable. Please change the host.
Why do you say that??
@@mcfact1827 he comes across as fake and has no charisma
“Pat the Designer” lol. The whole modern day Run DMC look with a corny nickname thing isn’t working for you, my guy.
What would be a better nickname?
“Pat [insert last name]”
@@3x3x3JC I was told by him designer means..he designs his life.
Marvin Harrison Junior is by far the best wr in the draft.he’s going to be the #1 Option Rome is let the Fourth option in the bears pass game.
If he is I don’t think it’s by much and being the #1 option on the team doesn’t make you the best in the draft. Btw I think Odunze will be more like the 2nd/3rd option in the pass game
@@NepToon_ Harrison jr is better I like Rome but if the bears had a chance at Harrison jr .The Bears would have took him Rome is more of a future pick Harrison jr going to get A lot of targets.
@@albertmckennie4282 MHJ was the best WR prospect in the ‘24 draft. Just like Caleb with QB’s, he was regarded as the best for the longest time during his college career. That doesn’t mean he is guaranteed to be the best at the pro level
@@albertmckennie42824th option? You gotta be high
@@iridesnw you got d.j clear cut #1 Allen 1/2 Cole 3 Rome 4 I think people will be surprised by how the bears are going to Utilize your Te Position.
Briggs already has a bad personality. Now he blows and picks his nose during the show. I am out and will never watch anything with this gentleman on it again. 🤡
Funny thing is if Marvin and Rome were both available at 9 we woulda taken Marvin 100% lol. Let’s calm down
