Totally agree Hoge you could see King Poles wrestling his anger on his thrown even being asked about the past. He had to lean forward and try to contain himself as he said basically said “Past is dead.” Loved it. New Era Bears fan. This fan base deserves it. Bear down
Easily, and we still have a stout defense to go along with it. Poles said he’s taking the North and he proved that wasn’t a joke-this team is young, teeming with talent, and hungry for wins
Bears fans owe a thank you to the Chargers for drafting a T, in Joe Alt. That opened up the door for us to land Rome Odunze. If the bolts drafted a WR, Odunze would've been gone. So, thank you to Joe Hortiz & Jim Harbaugh!!
Another important thing about why Rome fits so well on this team is how much he will learn. As a rookie, you couldn’t ask for better mentors than DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. He will learn so much from both of those guys without the pressure of being option #1 the majority of snaps. 🐻⬇️
Interacting is very important…shows maturity and comfort in his own skin! Kind of like when he put his phone away during his first visit with the BEARS!!! 31:24
It wasn't the Atlanta pick that mattered. It was the chargers pick that made odunze possible. As soon as they take a tackle it opens up another receiver..
What do you think JF/QB1 could have done with this team? #18 is still a rookie - you make every excuse in the world for the new guy, but JF did with a shit team and coaching (They fired the entire offensive coaching staff). I get it he is gone - it's done, but stop tossing JF under the bus. I believe the Steelers will be in the playoffs, and JF will win a playoff game and get to a SB before the Bears get into the playoffs.
@@jeremywilson5296 if they didn’t think they were close to winning then it wouldn’t make any sense to pay big money for a qb. However that division isn’t the strongest and if they actually had a qb last year they would have easily won the division. They certainly have the talent on offense. They did need a pass rusher though.
But there is nothing wrong with trying to secure the future QB. You only have cousins for 2 years right now. If they are close to winning they won’t be in that position again.

Absolutely, but the good teams usually take best player available. The first defensive player didn’t go until pick 15, so taking one at 9 and passing on Odunze and maybe a few other players seems like a reach bad or mediocre teams make.
No, I don't think so. This year should be offense, offense. We've been building the defense last 2 yrs. We will have 11 draft picks next year, we could draft defensive players next year.
Maybe a bigger need for sure but what’s more of a priority helping your rookie quarterback out or bolstering the defense? I understand the argument that improving the defense does help the quarterback too but to me I feel like we should be trying to directly assist Caleb as much as we can being that we’ve never had a quality quarterback before.
As great as the Bears did on draft night, and things are changing before our very eyes, they also just doxxed Caleb Williams by having his phone number in the "draft phone call" video. So um, same ole Bears! 🤣
He's also a rookie. I'm expecting them to make the playoffs, as I'm sure they are too, but rookies do make mistakes and lose games they shouldn't. And the Lions and Packers haven't gone anywhere

Caleb Williams is going to be a bust. It's going to be very funny to watch the cope and back pedaling from the Chicago sports media when he's below average. He's going to struggle, get hit hard, maybe injured, and because he's so mentally brittle he won't be able to handle it. That level of arrogance and entitlement will not fare well.

Caleb punts too👌
Omg he waived back! lol I love him too fellas

Fishbain so good at his job
This is more talent than the Brandon Marshall Alshon Jeffery team

LFG! CHGO!!
I think the turning point in the bears getting Rome was the Giants taking Nabors at 6.
Still wondering what player Poles/Eberflus were excited about in that clip from the combine. Wondering if Poles would say after the draft
I thought that to. "Oh yeah. If hes there we're taking him". Im convinced it was Odunze.
cedric benson was pretty legit in college.
Rashan Salaam won Heisman.
So was Curtis Enis 🤦♂️
5TH ROUND PICK FOR BATES IS PERFECTLY FINE......!!!!!!
releasing draft boards will never happen. too much bulletin board material for players you'll have to face down the road.
Fishbain speaking truth.
I hit my bet on Hoge mentioning special teams. Lol
Bear Down baby!!!!! #newera
Not our answer at center…Shelton will start and Bates as guard and center backup. Bates looked pretty good in limited minutes at center.
They can't possibly be worse than the last few years. Any improvement will = substantially better results overall.
We need a Imir Smith-Marsette and Velus Jones statutes for throwing games for the bears to get the first pick
Was so painful in the moment though. Cost me money that year with those 3-4 extra losses via anomalies.
I’m colorblind
deftness ain’t all the way there…still a pass rusher away. we did good against shitty teams. the good teams lit thay defense up.
These guys gushing like school girls in junior high is funny as hell....mancrushes in bloom. High quality jock sniffing here...
If the bears trade up for Johnny newton, it might be the best draft of all time
We still desperately need a 3 tech or another end
Rookie Center paired with Rookie QB is a big mistake.
You guys were wrong you said they would trade down
Maybe no one wanted to come up.
Often, when Hoge is droning on, I truly understand why Olin Kreutz lost patience with him...

Why is it surprising that the Falcons took a QB? They have Cousins for only 2 years. Let him sit and learn.
You’re in win now mode. Drafting a qb for the future is hurting that. Especially an older qb.
Are they though? They were not good last year. Falcons are way away from winning now or next year or the year after really.
