What do we (men and women) mean? What does art mean?
How does a poet think about gender and politics and language being in the world right now?
Poets have been writing about art for centuries. I’d like to explore this tattoo in my life and yours. Social media is also in on this moving practice. When we move through the world and tweet about it it is part of an extended art writing practice.
The poet’s mind, the media and the world is their studio. I’ll also specifically consider some of the reasons for assembling and ways of engaging the many portraits of women at Villa La Pietra alongside the fact of millions of women marching all over the world today.
