That was published in April this year - this season means 2023-24, the season we are playing.

Feckin' immense performance from those boys tonight. They can hold their heads high & be extremely proud of what they did today. Poor referee decision aside they played their hearts out and fully deserved a win.
UEFA guidelines is that if the ball comes off the body, then hits the arm/hand it is NOT a penalty.
Unfortunately it seems like yet another instance of refs. both in VAR and onfield not knowing the rules to the full extend.

Great game and great presso. Bad penalty call but we can’t blame all the results in group stage with that pen. We couldn’t handle BVB and that contribute to the table.
That said, we faced PSG twice and coming out with 4-1 and 1-1. That’s a massive positive to take. We have come far from just two years.

Love Izak but needed him to strike the ball for his chance in the second half. Not everything has to be super skilful, we were always gonna need that second goal. Though the VAR was ridiculous we simply couldn’t get hold of the ball for the last 30mins or so

The ref never gave the penalty so pressure from players was to use var, they should have applied the rules and told the ref he was right but no, they put it back to the ref who reversed his decision while also reversing the rules. Robbed of two points.
We'd all have settled for a 1-1 draw at the start of the game, and to be in this position on Matchday 6 when the group was drawn. But the way it came about just leaves a little sour taste. Fantastic performance from every player, there's nothing you can do to coach for random bounces of the ball.

The red said after to Joelinton bcos the elbow was far out and the ball was hit forwards (not sideways) so tick tick. If the ball is passes sideways it’s not a pen, if it’s forwards in anyway it’s a pen and if the arm is too far outstretched it’s a pen. But then his chest bit caused the ball to hit his hand. Soft but it’s a pen and I can see why. I bet 1-1 Paris to level in final ten mins. Got it right. But after the work Newcastle put in, it’s really harsh. But we have to stop letting in late goals. Pen or no pen. Miley should have cleared that he did same with hakimi going down in box where he should have cleared it and again for the pen, he instead the ball straight to Paris which caused the pen.
