I m curious to see how mine would have behaved against that C8. I have a 718T, stage 2, downpipe, sport cat 100 cells and remap. It pulls 392 HP now. With the PDK, sport chrono, PASM, this thing is a beast. So it is +40 HP more than the 718 S which is significant for a such relatively light weight. Any idea if a such comparison has been done already? I m sure that a stage 2 on a 718S, that usually bring it up to 440 HP or so, would put the Porsche ahead of the C8.
Great to see you’re still enjoying the car Lewis - and whilst it got beaten convincingly it will give a benchmark as to what the APR modifications were actually due to the performance so the next race should be much closer. But having almost 50% more power on top that Corvette was always going to win. According to my calculations your car has 249bhp/ton and the Corvette has 306bhp/ton. Look forward to the upgrades and following with great interest.
@@DriveMore718 I test drove one today.. It felt very underwhelming. My Hellcat was a lemon so I am looking for a replacement car. I cant get a C8 for MSRP. I was hoping the Cayman S M6 would impress me. I did watch your other video where you talked about the tune which made me go take the test drive today. Thank you for the great content!
I had that feeling b4..... when you love your car then race someone and lose to them... the HP bug start to bite!!!! As you start wanting more and more HP... then I just picked up a 1000cc Japanese bike! Most adrenaline ruch u can have!!!
I’m actually surprised the Cayman kept up as well as it did because those C8s are beasts. I’d still take the Cayman though.

Absolutely! Can’t wait to see how the car does after the tune. The tune is being installed this Friday so I’ll be posting the next race very soon!
