(2020-2024) MK5 Toyota Supra 3.0 B58 MST Cold Air Intake Detailed Installation

👋 In todays video I show a detailed installation on the MST cold air intake for the B58 Toyota Supra. This should also be an identical install for other B58 BMW cars. The MST intake is a very OEM looking style with a black powder coating. You can option it with or without the turbo inlet elbow pipe and even get a clear plexiglass lid. The clear cover actually looks really cool and lets you see the big red air filter. The inlet pipe adds a bit more sound to the turbo as well. This is a good fitting kit and should fit with all brands of strut bars including OEM. The inlet pipe fitting to the breather hose is the toughest part of the install. Its a bit tight getting your fingers on it and may sit an a small angle. But it will be a secure fit. Overall I think the MST intake for the Supra is the best affordable option. Has a cool look and nice sound with a perfect fit! Easy to install and you can't go wrong!

You will hear the induction sound, wastegate, blows off sounds and turbo whistle. So there are going to be a lot of new sounds. Can you send us a video on Instagram?

I had the hardest time putting the cover on top - gave up cause my friend said it'd be louder without it anyway haha

lol it should be pretty easy. Might have to wiggle the heat shield a bit. But yeah without it, it will be a tad louder

I just installed mine and I have this slurp/gurgle when shifting/clutch in. The turbo surge sounds fine but when I clutch its a big gurgle. Switched orientation of aluminum top section just in case and thats not it either. Do you have that massive gurgle or no?

Sounds like the blow off noise during shifts.

@@domlouis2179 I was the same way when I first installed an intake back on my Genesis Coupe! Didn't know what all the turbo sounds were! Once you get used to how turbos sound, it wont surprise you anymore lol

Nowhere. It doesn't really need to be connected to anything on that cable.
