@@dalmatinka9084 not at all.you are missing the entire content.He clearly is using words and phrases mixed with visuals which may appear to the untrained eye and mind,that your lifestyle, if considered consciously and selected wisely,is not a large footprint.It speaks of a casual elegance which forms over time,which is not contrived.just look at the cut of his overcoats,the roll of the turtleneck.i have had pieces as such for 30 years.Sit down and draw your perfect room.sit down and draw your fave wardrobe.then choose the cobbled lanes where you want to briskly walk,and come upon a vintage Rudge bicycle for naught.cheers.😌The light and space are the elements he works upon.He is showing one how he chooses and the reaction of each decision.He states it is about the investment,not living a disposable life.He is not at all pretentious,but choosing carefully and wisely.

I do agree with what he mentions in his post with regard to 'well designed' technology fitting into well to a space and its interior surroundings.
Because it all gets a little tiring hearing that same old interior designers quote "the TV needs to be hidden so it does not ruin the rooms design aesthetics"!.
Really! more like: let's deceive all our 'social circle into thinking we are so 'put together' that we do not watch TV, but read all those 'unread' books on the 'strategically designed and displayed bookshelf to reflect our worldly knowledge!". "Oh! and don't forget to leave the latest ceramic bowled kitchen aid out on display.....we mustn't hide that!"....Gosh! no!.....The 'irony' of 'it all...purchased and advised style'.

I think the only items that can be quite generic in an outfit are shirts and trousers. All the rest should be of a certain quality.

All changed after COVID , right? lol
It's definitely true about the shoes and the natural light at home. However taking advice about minimal footprint from someone who sells clothes (through which you spend money on stuff you didn't even know you want), instead of contributing to the exact opposite and reduce the impact of fashion on our private budget and environment is a bit absurd.
Shoes? Did any great artist of the past...or the genius stained glass makers of Chartres care about how people felt about their shoes?
