As a magician, I can surely say, that the kid practices much. Very relaxed and clean sleight of hand. That takes a lot of practice!

It was a good performance no doubt. Double lifts and delights all done to perfection. But the kid has no showmanship. That's what separates the good magicians from the great ones.

Matthew Miller Easily done one page is long and has a different image on, the page after always has a football/soccer ball on and these pages are shortened, no matter where Simon pulls up there is the ball. He got it in the card, by tearing the back off (tutorials on YT how do that), and putting the image in, and glueing back together. As for cards, Mel B never received the card she signed, and his card is a duplicate. All cards were forced.
Excellent trick, and great slight of hand, but once you pick up magic these things are easy to spot. But absolutely amazing trick!

You probably don't want to wish for that since he isn't that smooth with magic. The cards and the pad are things you can buy at a magic store, and the only skill you need to learn is how to do the double lift, which allowed him to give Mel B the king instead of the signed card, which is one of the first things you learn when you get into magic. Honestly, this is something someone can learn in a day or two of practice. So essentially, this trick is the equivalent of reading an article or something about how to pick up girls. Like "top 10 pick up lines that work", or "Don't do these things when on a date".

The trick is really simple but needs a lot of practice. This kid practised really well..very comfortable on stage, he's got great stage presence. Just perfect.

its just a simple here then there by david blaine for the first trick slightly modified he never put her signed card in her hand at first and the second one the notebook was set up before the trick to show different drawings after every other page but really after every different drawin was a soccer ball with the bottom folded up a little so simon had no chouce but to stop on a soccer ball and mels card was also a forced card thats how he got the soccer ball "in the card" how he got the soccer ball in the card? simple tear two of the same card in half glue a cutout of the soccer ball to one side and glue the other side of the card on top of that and voiala badic card trick

Nothing overly complicated (though some of the moves require plenty of practice), but very well done for a 15 year old. Nicely done.
Yeah, from what I saw the usual tactics. But brought in a slick way. Maybe he could have impressed people even more by tearing some other cards apart with no soccer ball in it?

Not trying to come off as anything (don't really care what random people on the Internet think of me). He uses some double lifts, forces, and some flourishes (one of which was a bit gusty to use) in a nice presentation. Don't need to go into more detail than that. If you're a cardician you know, if you aren't you don't.

He actually did a really good job. I usually cringe at kid magicians who has barely lived long enough to fully practice their craft and is already expecting to take the world by storm just because they're young and sooooo passionately ambitious. This boy was not only in control of his performance but he seemed like quite the humble and charismatic magician. Surprising for a 15 year old. I'm looking forward to more from this kid.

Way too many times you're cutting away from a good part of an act, to show one of the judges raising an eyebrow or smiling. That doesn't improve things at all.

This kid is talented. The sleight of hand is pro level for sure
Card trick was pretty simple, he does some double flips with a previously arranged deck, and picks up two cards back to back and smoothly snaps them over as he waves his hand. And the notebook is a gimmick where the papers aren't of equal length so that's how Simon picked the soccer ball. Notice how he doesn't allow them to shuffle, and takes an extra second as he flips the "top" card so that he can do the double flip smoothly.
It's actually a triple lift. There is a Jack and an identical Jack on top of the force card. He picks up three cards, puts them back, gives one jack to her and shake-changes the other to the force card.

Its really basic but what makes the difference is how they're performed. Verry calm, professional, and charming... Many knows the trick, but not how to perform it. Good job
This season's gonna be another great battle among great magicians and illusionists.
I don't see any breakdown/explanation of how it's done in the comments; so I will go ahead and do so.
The first part of the trick is a series of "double-lifts": The card Mel B chooses doesn't really matter. After she signs it he flips over her card + 1 of 2 kings of diamonds, so the king is on top. Which he then hands to Mel. Another double lift reveals the second king with Mel's card underneath. It's important to understand there are two king of hearts and one of them were in Mel's covered hand the whole time.
For the second part of the trick it is a force. His notepad has different images on one side that he shows the audience. But on the backs of every sheet is a soccer ball on every page. He turns the notepad over before handing it to Simon; so regardless of which page he chooses it will always be a soccer ball (which is why the instruction "only look at one page" is important).

But when he flipped through it to show the audience, watch closely, you can see the back of the pages are blank. Maybe it's something else weird with the notepad?
Actually it is shown in a reveal. Basically the pages with the soccer ball are not cut, while the other pages with random images are cut short. so when the book is opened it automatically lands on the soccer ball being forced

Sort of. It's a two sided notepad. Basically if you flip it one way you'll see several pictures, flip the book over and if you flip it they're all the same picture. The pages are glued together in some kind of pattern.

He forced the soccerball by having a picture of it on every 2nd page, every 2nd page was cut shorter by just a bit, so every soccerball is on a short page and the long pages have different pictures. When he shows the notepad it has all the different pictures, but no matter where you open it, it will always be a soccerball
