It was great! But that one coin magician deserved it! I've been a magician for about 10 years or so, and I've seen the matrix coin trick. But... I can't think of any explanations for the twists that he added to it. Incredible.

This trick is super easy actually. There’s a way to control what answer the calculator gives on an iPhone. Even if there were 4 different numbers it would have gotten that number. That’s why he had her pick numbers eyes closed so us at home or in the audience can’t do the math ourselves to see it wasn’t the right answer
Rewatch the video lol. He used Tyra's phone. He couldn't have rigged it to show that number when he used the calculator on Tyra's phone instead of his own.

I'm gonna explain the trick, so don't scroll down if you don't wanna know how he did it.
First of all this trick works with all calculators, but it works great with an iphone's calculator, and i will explain why. First get a pen and a paper and write any random number you want, then open the calculator app and write this equation:
The number you wrote on the paper x 1 + 0 x
Then stop here and give your phone to any one and ask them to type any number they want and multiply(x) that number with any other number (you can repeat this part multiple times, the Magician on this video asked for 4 random numbers). Then when they finish ask them to press equal(=) and boom there will be the number you wrote on the paper.
The reason why the Magician on this video asked Tyra to type a random number is so we don't get to calculate the numbers given, because the real answer will be way different.
And the reason why this trick works great with an Iphone is because right when you type the above equation the calculator won't show you the equation you typed, so when you give your phone to anyone they will think that you just opened the calculator app and you didn't type any equations before you hand your phone.

Rachel Wood That's unlikely. I've heard various explanations for the phones lighting up. Some say they got to sign into a website earlier and he controlled it, some say it was something else. Either way, we still have no clue how he did it.

1. It's not her phone
2. It were all 'multiply' until the last equation where she need to hit the 'add' button. The 'add' button must have triggered the pre-set numbers.

You do realize that if that was true, then he would be disqualified, Tyra probably kicked from the show for assisting in rigging an act, and the entire show coming under investigation, right?

theres a setting on calculators called "toxic" where no matter what you type into it, after the few steps that he went through, it will always give you the desired number you set it up to get to in the beginning. The audience were just told in the beginning to go to the URL for the show, and the audience members chosen were truly random, the numbers they gave didn't matter.

It's a hackers trick. Every phone would have given the same number had they put in different numbers. Go do the math on a real calculator. There is no way she hit 8 random numbers and come up with the right ones. As I tried it 10 times. Not once did I get anywhere close to 73 Million.
The people who are from the audience have no influence on the end result number.

they only give it to people (usually singers), who have some incredibly sad life story. It's always a sad story and a good performance, but not deserving of golden buzzer most of the time. Just my opinion. I agree with you.
Cheap trick, not in any way 'magic'. Search 'Toxic calculator' on google. It's the kind of thing you learn on the school playground. He must have had access to the phone beforehand to do it though. Otherwise, very simple.
Calcifer All 'magic' is a cheap trick. It really isn't important if it used technology, props, assistants, sleght-of-hand or misdirection. At the end it still falls in what we call 'magic'.

If you look at 2:57 the battery from the phone is 63% and it has a time on it, but at 2:25 it does not have a clock and the battery is there something in 30%+ Now I know that AGT is all fake, and that thing with the red phones, I think they could do this because the people accept the term and conditions for the WiFi. If you accept is without reading they can do everything what they want. (sorry for my bad english, I live in the Netherlands, so if you can talk Dutch like i'm talking english, then you have the right to talk about it)

This should be top comment. I saw 34% at 2:25 and saw 62% at 2:57. It's funny how no sees that the judges are almost always in on the magic tricks. Howies' flabbergasted look gives it away and Simon's half smile when ever he is used screams I hate doing these. Don't get me wrong, some of the magicians on here are good, but whenever they need the audience or need the judges to "help" them with the act, come on people it has already been rehearsed.

Pretty simple, just like he could make the audience's phones flash different colors, he could put that image from the calculator on Tyra's phone. The people he asked onstage didn't matter, and he asked Tyra to close her eyes so that the image could go on without her noticing. Not sure how he hacked the phones but still figured out the trick.

Nah it's all real. The trick is called Toxic and even amateur magicians like me have used it many times. Bascially you can try it as well. It's just simple BODMAS calculator logic.
Type in the number you want to force
Press x enter 1 and then hit + enter 0 and then hit
x the multiplication sign. Now type any number you want without hitting the equal sign. When you do hit the equal sign it will show the number you typed in first.
It's because of BODMAS
Bracket
Of
Division
Multiplication
Addition
Subtraction
Anything multiplied by 0 is also zero
So all the numbers they typed in the end got multiplied by 0 before being added to your number which was multiplied by 1.

Think about how easy this trick is to perform if the Lady with the Calculator was in on it though. All she'd have to do is reset the calculator to 0 and type the number she was told to type (That he already prepared... with the 'Deeply linked Numbers'). I mean I find it a bit weird that the one number they didn't show her type into the calculator was the one she picked randomly. If she's not in on it though.... very nice trick 👍🏻

This is a very simple trick...I'll explain it below if you don't want to know then don't read.
.......
He pre picked the number and had it typed into the iPhone calculator. You can set up the calculator to show the pre planned number by typing in 0 and then X. After you have done that, no matter what numbers you have you can add them all up and it will still show the pre planned number when you press =.
If you notice, he didn't ask Tyra to say out loud the numbers she typed because people would be able to check the sum and realise it was wrong so it's not shown.
Voila ... you are through to the next round.
