    We need more people like Ashwini Vaishnaw who can explain the vision, strategy, and execution in a cool-headed and logical way. He can provide business analytical data to make his point. Indian Railways is an excellent example to prove that even the public sector can deliver with proper leadership. The establishment of WDFC and EDFC, along with the redevelopment of railway stations and the introduction of Vande Bharat Express, is catapulting Indian Railways into the next league. Until now, the Indian Railways have been forced to cater to the lowest denomination. Now, there is a realization that Indians are willing to pay higher fare for higher quality of service and equipment. The railways' platforms are squeaky clean. The placement of trash cans is a big step forward. Trash cans were conspicuously missing. Now, the Indian Railways have to start cleaning the trash lying on the tracks. All these steps will increase tourist revenue. Clean and hygienic restrooms are a must to promote tourism. I am impressed with the introduction of the Bharat Gaurav trains. The all-inclusive package these trains offer is simply outstanding.
    Outstanding job Mr.Vaishnaw.

Further the following things need to be looked after 1) Punctuality of trains 2) Stations and trains are over crowded 3) Safety and security of passengers 4) Stray dogs are roaming freely in stations 5) Cleanliness of tracks and exterior of many trains to be improved

    My biggest issue with Mr Vaishnaw Sir is the poor service in railways that has become worst in recent years. Even Rajdhani trains have poor service. We have seen images of people travelling in AC class and not able to sleep peacefully due to crowd and rush. Toilets are dirty again and catering is very poor. Suresh Prabhu and Piyush Goyal were much better than Ashwini Sir.

    Good interview. But some of the questions i wish was covered where
    - Cleanliness - I have travelled AC(2A / 3A) coaches this month. Toilets are still bad. if thats the case on ac coaches, just imagine on sleeper and general compartments. whats the plan of action to have a safe and clean train(including toilets)
    - On time running stats- I have travelled the vande bharat. This train itself was 30min to 40 min delayed. efficiency and on time trains are still a dream. Most trains run behind schedule even now.
    - Delay issues and current status with plan - I travelled on couple other trains, trains already are scheduled with so much cushion time for delay, we need to remove all those and be on time. one such train is 16525 which has sheduled run time for ~22hrs to cover for all delays and stoppages. Even after that train regularly runs hour + delay. This is not just one train, most trains have this issues.
    - issue with Waiting list - I heard minister speak about waiting list will be removed in coming years, hope this is true. RAC and people on trains where insane in some of the travels.

    I have one question for Mr. Aswini Vaisnav sir, we have heard about a identity card/structure named Federated Digital Identity which will solve our problems regarding different kind of identity documents which we have to carry with us for different purposes, but there isn't any news about that. Is that project shelved for now until these data protection acts are in place or the Aadhaar card/Digi locker app is the answer because Aadhaar is linked to pretty much everything we have these days and Digilocker is where we store our documents.
    Recently we got to know about APAAR Card/ABC ID which will be credit bureau type system for students and we have ABHA Cards to store our health documents and we have other cards or platforms for different purposes but that's ultimately linked with digilocker and aadhaar card. So, is aadhaar card already a Federated Digital Identity or something else will happen and we have to get into lines for that also.
    Please answer if possible. Just an honest question from a common curious citizen.

      The food on the train scary ! Some guy serving food with low waist jeans exposed his hair ass every time he bends over to take out some food.

    Quality is paramount,we need to understand that high speed rail network needs to be extremely reliable and durable.Any vendor that the railways choose hereon should go through stringent quality adherence tests.
    I believe automated plants for high precision component parts need to be installed.
    This can be done by railways itself which won't increase the number of new people but will make the components reliable.I know that it won't create jobs,but reliability,brand building and future export orders need that reliability and quality assurance for high precision components is assured.
    For semi precion components and rigid components outsource.

    Not only is it necessary to build infrastructure, but maintenance is equally crucial. My recent experience at Kolkata Airport was unsatisfactory. Upon my wife's return from the US, there was no WiFi at the international airport, making it challenging to book an Uber. The restroom was unclean, with napkins scattered around. In response to my inquiry, PGO Kolkata stated, "The department concerned mentioned that the License agreement between AAI and the WiFi service provider licensee has expired. The renewal process to transition to a new service provider is underway, and it should be available shortly." Honorable Minister Mr. Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia should address such excuses. Charging airport tax obliges the airport authority to provide services. We must move beyond the "Sab Chaltahin" mindset urgently. While I criticize, I acknowledge a ray of hope with this government. "Irada nek hain." As citizens, we must highlight these issues for accountability, not only for international but also domestic passengers.

    I would like to ask our hounarable IT minister that what regulations we are bringing to stop the losses due to AI.
    Just a context, it's very widely in the IT industry that AI will make lots of jobs redundant due to its mastery over 'Natural language processing(NLP)'. Yeah, some jerk influencers/Ill minded entrepreneurs say that it will generate more AI jobs which is half true. AI will create new jobs but those jobs will be created in another part of world like US & china where it will replace many humans in developing world like India & Phillipines. However, if you see the underlying concept of AI, it's just stealing the internet data by illegally crawling over the digital intellect property of authors/owners without giving them any sort of credit or attribution. Hence, in the transition phase of AI of upto 5 years, we tend to see lot of unequal wealth distribution. US & EU will never make regulation on it because they are decreasing/migrant population countries so they will always promote AI. However india will loose it's major advantage & might loose the control. How india will protect their engineers, content creators, textile workers from these internet thieves?
    I hope journalist will ask some sensible questions & not just fulltoss ball questions.

Last time my train got 5 hrs delayed. Indian railways has gotten much much worse than what it was earlier. I have 0 idea of where the 2and a half lakh crores went. The ones who think that the train's fare has become similar to that of an airplane, then those people should avail the air service then instead. What kind of a stupid narrative is this? You want to use better infrastructure but you won't pay the bare minimum premium that goes into the maintenance of it, that goes into the seamless operation of it. How is it possible then? All these are the impact of 70 years of socialism in this country. We became too price sensitive. Price sensitivity is directly proportional to promoting mediocrity and compromised quality. It's bad for a country. Those who can afford, they also tend to complain about the price too much. Not only railway tickets, about everything. This is not rewarding for any government to build better and quality infrastructure. Because good infrastructure does not bring in mass votes anyways. We should be appreciative of the fact that a government is trying to be different here giving great attention towards 21st century infra development

      A Chinese person might be even try a costly thing but an Indian will never even enter the premises 😂

      @AAvvii111 Před 3 měsíci

      @@explorer649 So, expensive tickets are not for those 40 crore people currently then isn't it. They surely can afford that in future. For them there are trains which have low fares, afterall railways are state run and heavily subsidized. But that doesn't mean those who can afford it won't be paying the premium. Neither does it mean that those who can pay can't be enjoying good public infrastructures, because 40 crore people are living below 1.90 dollars/day. What? Today it's 40 crore, 30 years down the line, will there be no poverty?? Then also 10 crore people will be living in poverty. Of course they'll be taken care of by the state. But providing good infras and charging money for them and poverty has nothing to do with each other.

    • @explorer649
      @explorer649 Před 3 měsíci

      30 years down the line there will be more poverty in India than today..because inflation is high, even food inflation is 6-7% unemployment among graduated more than 14%(real data much bigger than that) and than $1.90 lowest income bar will also gone up, so the summary is Poor will becoming more poor...rich and crony capitalists will get richer.....The only solution make it ticket price as low as possible...else, there will be severe hunger & malnutrition in the country because the purchasing power will gone down.@@AAvvii111

      Yes! Building railways is more complicated on most occasions, don't know what you are going about.
      14kms per day is pretty decent at our economic level, more of it & govt have to cut its spending somewhere else & you might not like it.
      Plus our people don't pay taxes & want freebies, so from where the government will bring extra money?
      Its easy to say here but you have to understand the macro & micro economics plus various things.

IR is a curse to Indian people wasting the valuable time and economical development of the country since 75 years. IR runs dirtiest slow moving trains . IR stands as a National shame. They construct new building s with zero passenger amenities like waiting rooms, wash rooms, benches on plat forms. They don't have minimum common scence of passenger amenities. IR provide lowest quality food in their trains. These useless fellow never question on these topics.
