if you haven't already, I recommend A Night In The Woods, Gab. It has a lot of elements you enjoy; story driven gameplay, cute animal characters, multiple choice, murder mystery, cults, eldritch beings appearing in dreams... the list goes on.
A "Night in the woods," sounds totally lovely. It's how I spend as much of my free time as I can. What could go wrong? (Mosquitoes) Also, "night on the lake,"(mosquitoes) "night on the mountain," (mosquitoes)etc. Seems like a potential series. What's next, pure driven snow becomes an icy coffin? But it's "pure!" BTW, in Alaska, we have "snow mosquitoes," and they're huge.

This game was cute.. but it feels unfinished. Not just with the story, mainly not with the story actually, but with the mechanics and the badges. Like, they never wrapped up the Worm Boss, and you didn't get to finish the Mushion. Also, I feel like the map should be a bit more accessible than it currently is, like the movement mechanics need a little bit more refinement, maybe an extra feature you get to use in the whole map, and maybe some changes to the actual objects in some areas to make it easier to reach some items. Also, of course, the party at the end has some broken dialogue triggers. But I do love that you get to choose your pronouns instead of a sex/gender, that there are subtle LGBTQ+ relationships in the story, and that you get to customize your character a little bit more past the initial character creation screen by allowing you to use the mushrooms you collect for the Mushion as hats! This game also has very neurodivergent-friendly dialogue and characters, like you are written as an ADHD, possibly autistic mail scout, and other characters have different quirks to them with the way they communicate, their interests and how they engage with them, how they process information, and more that suggest they all have individualized brains and life experiences. It makes them feel more real. I also like that a few of the missions gently kinda teach how not to handle some social situations in a way that is still paced to keep up with the way the player character talks, but isn't preachy, obvious, or condescending. It seems even Janet is treating Emma's behavior in a more patient way, while still trying to keep her on task and not hiding when something annoys her. It's a good example of how you can help someone process new instructions and start a new job when they're neurodivergent and accommodate them while not sugar coating things or having to pretend some things don't annoy you (like someone interrupting you). It also displays redirecting, a great technique to use to help someone process on their own, being used properly and in a working environment. It also shows that you can use it to express that something was rude without making the person who did it out to be a bad person. Idk, I hope they patch this game, but regardless, it was really pleasant to watch and rather soothing. And I feel like it was good representation of how to coach a neurodivergent person through starting a new job. I wish more people would realize it can be just that simple to work with people who have a different neurotype than you. I am ADHD and have been told many tines by doctors that I seem autistic. I'm seeking an autism diagnosis currently.

When I saw that the "your name" part wasn't filled out in the character creation screen, I was worried Gab would be playing the entire game as "Your name" 🤣🤣 Gooby would've been a great name but Emma is good too!

Wonderful memories as the Barbie series games are the best games ever made (maybe only Nancy Drew can beat them)
Speaking of the "everything is cute" category, might I suggest Garden Paws at some point? I haven't played much yet but what I have played had me aww-ing and giggling at the cuteness the entire time. It's kinda like Stardew in that you can farm, you can socialize and do quests, and there's even a dungeon!

There's a game called Night of the Rabbit that's a really fun point and click game where a boy in a quest to become a magician comes across a rabbit who is willing to teach him. They travel realms and face a mysterious dark force. The voice acting and art of the game is wonderful and so much fun to play. It gives off the same type of cute and wholesome realm but with darker aspects to it.
