- The SPAS 12 is back and in Multiplayer, it can be a pretty inconsistent shotgun. It has some massive potential but falls flat for a few reasons I talk about in today's video.

Exactly! Why, do I have to use my shotguns MORE like a precision sniper rifle more so than I dowith ACTUAL sniper rifles in this game. I've one shot killed people with sloppy sniper shots to the toes SO many times. However if I don't get a headshot with my shotgun, I may as well turn the gun on myself, as 80% of the smgs in the game will eliminate me within the time it takes to get a 2nd shot off.
I really loathe what they have done to shotguns in this game.
Fun fact about that hipfire damage profile: in MWZ, it changes to *buff* your damage instead of reducing it. So while you want an ADS build in MP and Warzone, it’s far more beneficial to run a hipfire build in Zombies- at least for buckshot (since slugs are objectively superior and IIRC do not have the same variable damage mechanic, instead hitting like 10 slug trucks per shot when PaPed)!
I could be wrong, but I think it also counts all of your pellets too? In other words the barrels are objectively a damage increase.

Did anyone mention that the Crown Breaker choke changed during the Reloaded update? The Crown Breaker choke now is modeled after the Riveter's muzzle ,and the overall stats have been changed.

This sucks, there’s no point of a shotgun if you have to ads like a sniper. I wish this was the OG MW2 Spas where you could hipfire people from 10+ metres away
Especially when the ADS is god awful slow..
I’d be fine if I could one shot people with slug rounds with a shotty from 20-30 meters, but I can’t even do that.
What are you people on about. Ive been using his warzone tac stance build in MP and have been getting one shot kills out to fifteen meters away. The trick is you have to aim for the upperchest/head, for whatever reason hitting belly/lower torso always results in a two or even three shot kill even at point blank but headshots/upper chest are consistant one shot even beyond ten meters. The gun is amazing, you just have to place your shot high.
You just need to have pressed ads but don’t need to fully ads to get better damage. Either just tacstance or "quickscope" every shot. on controller just make a l2/R2 combination
Yeah it definitely slaps in warzone and mp with a tac stance speed build.

I’ve been waiting for your breakdown of the new shotgun. Any chance we could see an updated best class build for the top 5 multi like you did with WZ a week ago. I think it would help some of those camo/mastery challenge grinders after various weapon and attachments nerfs/buffs

Looks like the range values were changed but they forgot to delete an old value.
I feel the power of the gun comes from the select fire functionality. Being able to swap to semi for corners feels really good to me.
I knew something was up with it! I hope it gets fixed. Im thinking the Bryson 800/890 could use the same ADS damage multipliers but include the stomach too as conpensation for being the slowest shooting pump actions
Yeah the brysons aren't very good unfortunately. However the broadside and semi auto mx guardian are pretty good. I still think all of the mwll shotguns need buffs in a few areas though.

That's literally crazy. I was wondering why it was so hard to use in multi. I made a fast slugs class just so i can get the drop
Basically just a weird marksman rifle in multiplayer and it’s really fun when you use it like that but horrible as a real shotty
imo this is a good thing, id rather it work this way than be just another clone pump action shotgun that functions the exact same way as its counterparts

Does dragon breath work the same as the lockwood. DB makes the hipfire the same as aim down site
Disappointing that the MK2 dual shotties still haven’t been balanced properly. With practically no sprint out time, decent range and fast fire rate. It makes all other shotguns d-tier in comparison.

It's strangely way better in warzone over multiplayer. It's because warzone is more forgiving when it comes to handling
I was so hyped for this gun. I expected it to feel like the 680 b4 they nerfed it. Or the 600 from mw2. But it feels so ass. I want to use it. But every time I equip it. I end up switching back to the 680. Which feels infinitely better.
Switching it to semi auto helps a lot
I must end up in the "bad range" a LOT. Getting a 15m 1hk then proceeding to ADS a guy WHO IS MUCH CLOSER and get a HM is infuriating.
Goomie - you ever done a "my settings vid" for controller setup and all that for MW3? I'd be interested to see it.
As for classes in MP... I really dig shotguns, but so often I just get frustrated with losing to CQC quickscopers and SMGs that liquify me in .02 seconds, after I've already shot them in the face/chest/guts.
My two main weapons are LMGs and Shotguns, both are the worst gun classes in the games.
Anything an LMG would be useful for, an AR (and many SMGs) can do better, faster, and with less recoil. Any range that an LMG outplays an AR or SMG, you're just sniper fodder.
Meanwhile anything you would WANT to do with a Shotgun, you may as well just use a KAR98 or whatever SMG you like the look of, they all outperform shotguns in every possible scenario. So diappointing.

@@Goomie Fair enough man I imagine it's a lotta work. I'd be interested, you're such a beast with your movement and shottie aim, you use auto tac sprint, right? Dunno how you do it with shotguns, feels so broken when I try it.
This is the level of actual in depth review I come to expect when it comes to shotties, so Goomie, you never disappoint. Definitely gonna change how I use this moving forward.
I’ve gone back to the 890 for Warzone. The hip fire mechanic breaks the gun and defeats the purpose of using a shotgun.
It’s absolutely infuriating to lose fights within very close range where I’d start with ADS and switch to hip fire for the finish.
I tried using it with several builds and it just doesn't feel like a true shot gun. After a while, I just gave up and switched to using the Bryson 890. The difference with the two shotguns specifally is insane and undoubtly disappointing for the spaz.
So does tac stance still count as hipfire and give you a damage penalty? How about covering the semi auto fire mode?

Has the riveter been nerfed with incendiary rounds the last couple days I have played and even in the firing range it is taking almost 20 shots to kill the first dummy with 3 plates. And in games in feels weaker than before? (In warzone)
@Mr_N0_0ne dummies are notoriously inaccurate, so I wouldnt judge damages based on them. I'll have to check if it has been, but as far as I know it should be the same as before!

How, if at all, does using tac stance impact the topics discussed in this video? Does tac stance (without ADS) count as hip fire?
@xindigochildx3417 tac stance counts as ADS! It's useful for sure, but I prefer full ADS to reaaallly take advantage of the OSK range. If you want to tac stance, just commit to being at closer ranges and it'll still be a monster, just dont expect super long one shot kills as consistently.

For s gun with such tight hipfire in semi damn does it feel unoredictable in warzone, im MP its more forgiving and pump is def the best and does make it feel a more like the MW2 spas

How this a bug, you simply HAVE TO hit upperchest/head for a consistant one shot kill even out to fifteen meters was the furthest ive got, otherwise if your hitting lower torso even at point blank while aimed down sights in will be a two sometimes three shot kill. The gun dosent need any buffs its amazing. The user simply has to always keep in mind the fact that you need to aim high and its a incredible gun, I mean come on now a shotgun with lightning fast ADS and speint to fire time with amazing handling that can consistantly one shot out to fifteen meters once the user undertands where to place their crosshair, Ive been using your warzone tac stance build and havent been getting such high kills and killstreaks since before the bryson 800 nerf, and the reclaimer is so much better than that given you can get the further distance kills without needing to switch to a secondary. Never got a nuke or DNA bomb before got two in a row using this and was on a twenty four kill streak on my third, its an incredible gun, but you have to be smart when using it and place your crosshair correctly else you will be punnished.
the bug is that there is a range where you can not deal 150 damage for a little bit of range and after that it increases again...
I FUCKING hate that they make shotguns only usable when ADS like, what is the point of a FUCKING shotgun.
You just have to tap the button and fire. It doesn’t need to be full ADS.
@@MumboJumboZXC the problem is that if you hipfire shotguns lost around 80% of efectiveness, its too much for shotguns and all of them are "balanced" like that.
I mean, you shouldn't be hipfiring a shotgun beyond 3 meters anyway

This gun is trash on mouse due to inconsistency. You need to use pump and have controller aim assist to have any level of consistency with this weapon
