Wanted to reiterate that I'm talking about slugs! Not ammo with spread/pellets 🤠
I would like to see spread/pellet shotguns be more lethal at close range still. We're in a situation now where shotguns are just... a novelty, and are useless in about... 80% of gunfights, unless you are extremely skilled at getting into kicking distance, and even then, you can get 1 shot by a knife to the knee if you don't get a headshot within that range.
We need to be making more niche guns viable. That’s why Warzone 1 was fun to me. The second a fun to use gun becomes a viable option in this game they nerf it
Yea I agree. Most would be banned in the comp scene anyway, so I see no problem with buffing up some more niche guns, or even more guns like the SPR, Crossbow, etc

One gun in particular i though about getting "the kar98 treatment" was the SPR and the SA-50, like... give them one shot potential, but... with less effective range. They're collecting dust and well... they COULD be useful one day
I can hear the sniper smg baby’s crying and pissing themselves. If a sniper can one shot down at 400m, a shotgun should do so within 8 or so meters.
Snipers don't 1 shot at 400m tho (without huge downsides)

Kar players will never admit the gun is op, they will double down on saying it takes skill, and will suggest using high alert and smokes, when in reality they also have available cold blooded, pings and in some extreme cases, thermal scopes. Just buff the other guns, reduce the range and maybe reduce the rotational aim assist.
The kar is okay wouldn’t say it’s op it’s just a better stalker maybe if it had the Kat range it would be op

Super OP. All long range AR and LMGs need a bullet velocity buff to even compete. I love the Kar and have been dropping 30’s with it but yeah I agree it’s OP. Cold-blooded NEEDS a counter. We need hardwired.
Since season 4 of MW 2019, I didn't play sniper rifles. Last week, I picked up an enemies Kar while regaining. I hit almost every shot and won the game. It's absurdly easy to use. I'm not even good at the game 😂
@@pinmonster yeah, the thing with the kar is that works better than a sniper while being a marksman and there are plenty of comments from streamers and players that mention this. Try using a sniper in hip fire and then the kar, you will notice the difference.
Out of all the things that people supposedly complain about, one shot shotguns are very rare for me to actually see in game. Hell, I see them more in DMZ than in MWIII or WZ
They were very prevalent in WZ with the dual trigger. Obviously they’re still in DMZ as they no longer put out balance patches for mw2

If the movement was slower then yeah.
Considering they nerfed the Crossbow after a week of just being barely viable but hardly even used by anyone, it's clear they don't give a flying fuck about actual balance in this game; it's all about engagement and money. Nothing else.
i’m sad they nerfed it, i was having soo much fun with it but dang it was a science to lead shots or try and track someone with the terrible bolt velocity, it wasn’t op at all i don’t know why they made it completely useless now
Hopefully they will give some Oneshot capability to those pump action shotguns, they were pretty good in Warzone 1 and not broken because they were very unforgiving, but also very rewarding, I see what you mean and I agree with your idea!
Honestly, after they nerfed the Crossbow which was exactly how it was in WZ1 (And was never considered broken in that state from start to finish), I kinda have my doubts but we just gotta wait and see!
CoD devs would rather give us a one-shot pistol (MW2 P890 at one point) than bringing back one-shot shotguns.

@@djabouty47 If you duel wielded it, it was two shot in mw2 (they did some wierd buff where the damage was quadrupled), but it felt one shot since you were holding two guns at once.
2 shot head shot with slugs to down is completely absurd.
I think shotguns dont need a 1 shot in warzone, they should have a very consistent and long 2 shot range however.
You want a glimpse into how one shot shotguns would play out in Warzone again? Hop into DMZ and you'll see how AP rounds plus Bryson have ruined lobbies. Flip a coin on if you are entering a close range fight with your three plate vest and you will get one shot to the chest within 8ish meters.
Appreciate your compromise in saying it would need to be a headshot, but I still dont think the community would respond well if there was a one shot shotgun again. Is is "fun" to be the one oneshotting, but incredibly jarring to be the one being one shot. Same can be said for the snipers, so I see where you are coming from with them needing to return. Just not sure how it would be recieved. Much love Goomie
I was meaning more for slugs. Ive seen what the AP rounds do in DMZ and its pretty bananas. I dont think I would want a shotgun with spread on shotting in like 99% of cases tbh lol My only want is just the potential for slugs to do it instead, and to have limited range for it like the cimbat shotgun in WZ1, which was out to like 15 meters. That way, marksmans and snipers are still waaay better options for one shots, but the shotguns can compete specifically with well placed slug headshots. Thanks for checking out the vid btw 🤠

Dear gods, we need a change to the meta - a 1 shot shotgun is no more OP than a recoilless SMG that kills in .25 seconds by just holding the trigger down. Or a laser beam assault rifle that is lethal at 30m or less. Or a Sniper rifle in 90% of situations.
I've got like 4K kills with by LW680. ❤ at 1st sight since day one. Survived two massive nerfs but couldn't make it for the 3rd one. It's clear devs DONT like us having fun with shotguns. They have completely destroyed all shotgun builds, nerfed them into the ground. They want us using Kar, SMGs and some AR's that's it. I think it's directly linked to the skins at the shop. Their data probably suggest we're a tiny portion vs SMG, LMG and AR users. It's a damn shame. Rocking shotgun in multiplayer and warzone was my all time favorite thing. Hopefully the Spas 12 coming into mid season is any good. Some good shotgun clips at my profile 😊
Don't get ur hopes up with the spas, shotguns have a horribly pathetic 3m one shot range, hell even at 20 meters pellets dont even register!! They just vanish into thin air
Slugs as well as the mw2 marksman and sniper rifles need a big buff. The crossbow one was good
A slug shotgun should always one shot headshot to sniper range, but I use a shotgun to hipfire. Any shotgun that cant reliably beat an SMG TTK while hipfiring in the same room just sucks.
If it’s not an SMG tears will flow, because then controller players would have to aim rather than just lean into AS and let it do all the work up close.
Play Hardcore League in Combat Master. You'll get exactly what you want, and it's awesome.
Before we get 1 shot shotguns i think they should buff gun like signal, lab, spx, spr , sab and carrack 300to 1shot . You can disagree about signal not 1 shooting because its semi automatic but rytec amr in warzone 1 could 1 shot and it was fairly balanced
Imagine oneshot Kar from distance and oneshot shotgun close fight... Little 6yo kid will be happy feeling like a god oneshot everybody with aim assist

I dunno kar98 does Not one shot head shot at long ranges. The xrk stalker has better range and can be made just as fast

Id go a step beyond and say bring back one shot pump action buckshot shotguns, right now there really is no counter against smgs unless you're using a spammy shotgun and smgs can reach put much further than shotties can

Slugs should have been better right from the start. In multiplayer (I don’t play warzone) slugs are actual trash and it’s so annoying. I love the satisfaction of mapping someone with the 725 from like 60m it’s so fun! No idea why people complained about it at all snipers are better in EVERY WAY it’s just fun to mess about with. There no way they change them now after 7 months they have just made shotguns rot this year and it shows sledgehammer are idiots and call of duty is just slowly dying of fun things to do in the game

edit: they should bring the dual trigger back for warzone, if people cry to much then nerf the range. Players that dont use shotgun can counter shotgun now with sjx horus and akimbo wsp stinger.
every sniper or most of them should one shot in the head too.
The range on dual trigger last it was available was 2.5 meters if I recall. Don’t think it can get much smaller.
Lockwood 300 firing range is a lie, in practice explosive can’t 1 shot an unplated to the chest point blank

I do feel like the kar does not need to be nerfed in fact I think the kar and all other snipers should be buffed to one shot at infinite range just like in wz 1 but I can agree with your take on slugs.
They should also buff the kars bullet velocity it’s too slow needs to be something like 1100 mps

My wife started playing DMZ for the first time recently and watching her use the Expedite 12 for some reason reminded me of the fun I had with the Combat Shotgun in Caldera... oh man! It honestly made me a better player overall and I miss it. I fully support the idea of a one shot shotgun coming back!!
Shotguns are in a really bad state right now but when bo6 drops with omnimovement shotguns might be way stronger. Being able to sprint sideways while rechambering a shell and then dive the other way and shoot mid air is going to be insane.
