Angelina is a "Musical Prodigy" who started singing Jazz at 1-1/2 years old in her baby crib! Went she turn 7 yrs old her mother aloud Angelina to audition for the 2014 season of "Norway has Talent " show. She sang (4) classic Jazz sounds and the judges along with the public, fell in love with her Mature unbelievable voice. Angelina won the show and the harts of millions worldwide !

Now she is 15 (January tenth) You ladies should listen to her Originals (and by the way she does all of the arrangements ) What is Life, Shield, Million Miles. as you follow her originals, it's like reading through her diary or Journal. she entered Norway's got Talent at age 7 and won it at age 8. there again, you should react to her first audition and the few songs she sang in the competition.

Originally from Norway, English was actually her third language (Behind Norwegian, and Farsi ) so in some of her earlier songs you will see her reading the lyrics, and in a few instances see her struggle with annunciation .

She is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talk with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a Doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All book proceeds go to charity.

When she was 6she was traveling in the middle East and met a poor girl her size who was weaghing people with a scale for small changes.. supporting herself and siblings.
She talked to her. (In Persian she speaks Norwegian Persian English Swedish and at least some Japanese)The girl had no shoes and it was cold, scarred feet. Angelina gave her shoes to her. After she won Norway's got talent she wrote a book about it and became the youngest published author in Norway's history. She donates the money from that book to children's charities. She always performs barefoot publicly to call attention to the poor children of the world who do not have life's necessities. She also has the nickname the barefoot angel. Other nicknames include the girl with a thousand voices and the jukebox.

Hi, gals! She was 9. This went viral and drew a lot of attention. But, incredibly, she had already won Norway's Got Talent between the ages of 7 and 8. Your next stop should be a video of the NGT Show which is out there and shows Angelina singing all 4 songs she performed during the Show. If you are more interested in learning about her as well as her singing there are video's of her away from the microphone and they are very interesting to hear.

To do this right, I agree with many other AJ fans - start at the beginning and react to her at 6 years old singing, "I Who Have Nothing" at her school's studio. Angelina causes one to wonder how such a child is able to have all of the talent she displays. No one can be taught the things that she knows at such a young age. She causes musicians and band leaders to simply shake their heads in disbelief. Careful where you step! This is the biggest rabbit hole you'll ever find.

Now you need to see her own composition videos of "Million Miles". She wrote it when she was ~12 years old (born 2006) for the memory of her recently passed (at that time) beloved grandfather. She has dedicated it to him and for any others that have experienced such loss. There are two incredible video versions to see other than the official music video by her new label, Republic Records. Watch the lyrics version first. It has great artful graphics by her grandmom, a noted Iranian artist. The lyrics are most powerful. Then watch the b/w live studio version. She uses just a piano (played by a very high up Republic executive) and cello backing. The emotion in this performance will make you cry. Angelina mentioned that while recording the "official" version she cried throughout the session. If you have memories of a dear loss, you need to do a reaction video of these performances. Stunning, emotional artistry by a 15 year old kid singer/songwriter/arranger.

She turned 9 two weeks before she recorded this. It's a cover and her Homage to Scream'n Jay Hawkins the origininal singer.
She arranged and coordinated this with the orchestra on her own at 9.
The lyrics were also changed somewhat from Screamin' Jay Hawkins
version with Angelina adding her own production techniques which
she felt the theme of the song called for. I know of no adult singer who
could do something like this and when I try to wrap my brain around the

The Barefoot Princess was 9 years old at the time of this performance. This was her arrangement of the 1956 original by Screaming Jay Hawkins whose face was on the candle at the beginning of the video. Angelina totally owned this performance and gave what many people have said is the best rendition of this song ever done!

Gee, where did you hear that she was 7 years old? She was 9 years 2 months old when she arranged and sang this song. So, you see that at 9-years-old she is already a professional and accomplished artist. She chose this song as a tribute to the original singer, whose picture is shown in the beginning. The papers she handed to the band leader were her last-minute changes for him. This performance is not typical of Angelina but shows that she can perform in any genre, although she prefers jazz. She always performs barefoot and there is an interesting story behind that. She has been in the public eye since she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent in 2013, when she was 7, and won it at age 8. She is now 15 years old and signed to Republic Records as a highest priority new artist. Her recent releases of originals and covers are beyond superlative. Angie's musical abilities are beyond mere mortal understanding!
About the earliest full video you can get of her, is in her school studio at 6 years old, singing I Who Have Nothing. There's snippets of family videos of her singing Whitney Houston when she was 2 years old. You can't go wrong with any of her songs. The songs she did of Amy Whinehouse, (Back to Black and Rehab) she rewrote to be more age appropriate.

At the end of this comment, I post a link to a very different sounding Angelina. It is difficult, almost impossible, to believe it is the same person. There is a very good reason she is known as The Princess of song with a 1,000 voices, and this illustrates it very well.
She was only 9 years old when she performed "I put a spell on you" for the first time. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody.
As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener.
In this video, did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the music director, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. Then a brief glimpse of Mery Zamani, a well-known and respected Iranian artist, who is also Angelina's maternal grandmother and the person who encouraged Angelina in her love of music, especially jazz. And then there is a shot of Angelina holding a candle, upon which was an image of Screamin' Jay Hawkins. And the fact that during the last time she sang "because you're mine" she rose on to her toes. Lastly, did you notice how the "performing" Angelina, singing at a level of maturity far beyond her years, suddenly became a 9-year-old child almost instantaneously once she finished singing. From the time I first heard Angelina, way back at her first audition on Norway's Got Talent, she has amazed me.

Angelina turned fifteen on January 10, 2021.
Among reactors for the last 3 years, your 'What-?!!" reaction is exceedingly common. It's quite normal for reaactors to stop the video after those first two lines, shout "WHAT-?!!" and a few restart the video, thinking something is wrong. I also suspect almost every first-time listener did that, too. You two are now facing a choice: "Do I go back to her 7 Year Old performances or do I find her most modern songs?" Her beginnings are almost impressive as PUT A SPELL but, frankly, I consider this to be a brilliant performance. Her earlier ones are just as startling and when you weave thru her 140+ videos, you'll discover she has NO BOUNDARIES. She'll do a TV morning show with FLY ME TO THE MOON or an outdoor festival's WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES. Then off to a George Gerswhin song (SUMMERTIME on TV then a large banquet hall), then Billie Holiday, Whitney Houston and even James Brown. No boundaries.

Why Angelina always performs barefoot
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina
noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to
step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get
the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who
was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful
she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl
who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the
girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor
girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed
barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published
author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.

Angie was 9 when she did this arrangement herself & this was also filmed by her grandma Mery & released a year later same for the acoustic version of "Fly me to the moon" which was filmed when she was 9 released later. On “I put a spell on you” Angie said it in an interview a year later (when she was around 10 at interview) about this song: “It means love Desperate love.
