- Today I am making street style carne asada tacos platter using homemade fresh corn tortillas, two types of salsa and garnishing with fresh ingredients. This platter of tacos are great for dinner or party.

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs (907 g) beef steak meat (cut of your choice)
1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh citrus juice (I used orange and lime juice)
1/2 cup (120 ml) low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp (4 g) onion powder
1 tsp (4 g) garlic powder
1 tsp (3 g) smoked paprika
1/2 tsp (1 g ) black pepper
1 1/2 tsp (5.5 g) sugar
1 large onion (sliced)
4 to 5 cloves garlic (chopped)
12 to 15 small corn tortillas
fresh butter lettuce leaves
toppings of your choice

GUYSSSS. I just made this tonight.. It was a HIT. I can’t describe how good it was, OMG the salsa, it was sweet yet when spicy with just the right kick to it. WOW. The only downside is I ran out of meat! so make sure to get more steak. BUT, I got so many compliments from the family. It’s very simple and very filling! Wow. Definitely making this again ❤️😍 THANK YOU SIMPLY MAMA❤️😭

Great recipe. I found it somewhat difficult over the years to find a carne asada marinade recipe. I had been using orange juice, but had not heard of soy sauce. Also, thank you for including the salsa recipe.
That soy sauce trick works great. Theres a tenderizing element to it that just works, plus its salty. Another tenderizer is baking soda. It is used in Asian stir frys. Be well.

This turned out soo tasty. I didn't have an orange or OJ so I just used lime from a squeezy bottle. Since it was a ribeye, I only let it sit in the marinade for an hour. I added a sliced Texas sweet onion to the marinade since I found a chunk of onion in the refrigerator. I also made your homemade soft corn tortillas and they were amazing! Thank you sooo much!

Made these tacos. They were great. Most middle west Americans don't know this is a taco. I was one. Mid western Americans think hamberger taco mix taco shells.
I have a jittery kind of upset stomach. These were perfect. I made the green salsa recipe. I used guajiillo s left out the arbols and used 1/2 jalapeño. Both things were perfect no irritated or upset stomach or indigestion after.
Thanks so much. It was easy and perfect. I didn't know what to do with the meat in the marinade so I looked at other tacos. I used beef boullion with sliced onion.
