this is the first version i’ve heard that actually makes the song sound as sad as it is. where other covers reflect the bitterness and almost relief that the song was originally done with, which i love, this one has an element of almost mourning, which i also absolutely love. almost feel like we’re the last few drunk people at an open mic bar, early hours of the morning, tired and nostalgic, and this is the last song of the night. you have a great voice! happy this appeared in my recommended.

I love how you did this song, the song is literally about a relationship that is only existing because they both what to see the other person quit first. The song is bitter for sure but it is nice to see a person play it in a sad tone. It works both ways but I love the slower more depressing take that completely fits the song. If you don't get the meaning of the song just from listening to the original in the album Tallahassee one listen to this will explain it perfectly. 10/10 will add to my personal apple music library.
