Zephyr is gorgeous at 2013-2014 weight 3700 gr. if you set the lines to 22.5 m and set the bar with high Y. I set the bar for the 2011-2012 Cabrina (22,5 m and Y). The long stroke of the bar along the depower cord of the Cabrina is as much as 65 cm!!!, which makes it easy to cope with gusts of wind and dampen the power of the kite when landing. Kite Zephire completely changes character and becomes reactive! The high Y makes the canopy of the kite more like a C and, together with more short lines, the kite turns the kite loops quickly and easily! This is my favorite kite for jump backrolls and frontrolls on Hydrofoil from 2,5 m/s to 7 m/s or TT from 7 to 12 m/s 95% of the time! I'm sorry, but on the native bar OZONE kite Zephyr is very slow and lazy! Change the bar, line length and you will be delighted with the behavior of the kite!! This is a delight! Thanks to the Manufacturer! I kite riding in the cold northern Sea of Okhotsk all year round both in winter on ice/snow and in summer on water. I,m kiting long 23 years since 2000 and I understand what I’m talking about!

super! I would buy it, I have had the V5(changed for an Alpha V2 12m), the main problem was the weight under 11 knots, but still for Sardinia 20 knots as top end is not enough, the wind pick up very fast many times from 10 to 20 knots... I know an Edge 13m ultra X, or anything lighter, would be the perfect solution, I sincerely hope Ozone will embrace the lighter transformation of the Edge too, at least for 13m and higher sizes! ❤
p.s. in my opinion the low end wind range extension of the ultralight kites is one of the biggest benefit
pp.s. or you could even think to push out a Zephyr V8 Ultra-X 15m and even 13m! but I think nothing is better than the upwind drive of the Edge + lighter materials benefits!🤙

Thanks for your feedback! The materials now on the market are very interesting indeed.

@@IainHannay if happen to be possible I have a question that probably only the great master designer (Mr.RobWhittall) can reply, between the AlphaV2 14or16m and this new ZephyrV8 which permit better low end upwind angles with a big (148x47) twintip board and an 80kg rider? I'm very passionate about kites and technical aspect, and some "mysteries" can get me crazy, a reply would be very appreciated❤

@@IainHannayI know higher aspect kites( Zephyr) have a sure advantage going upwind, but many on the forums says that the better gruntyness of the low aspect kites(Alpha) is a better advantage to get going then with a big TT you can aim upwind...

@@GaetanoCrisci Hi, thanks for your question! The Alpha and Zephyr are 2 very different kites with different needs. The Alpha will be more grunty and fly in lighter conditions but does not have the top end range that the Zephyr has. The beauty of the Zephyr is the massive range and this comes from a more solid structure (5 struts compared to one on the Alpha). The upwind angles on the Z are better too. The new materials on this kite are amazing for increasing the performance. Thanks again, Iain

@@IainHannay Thank You for your reply, I have carefully read the respective page of the Alpha and the Zephyr, and I have a bit of background too about aspect ratio and struts influence, I was more trying to understand and compare the upwind behaviour near 10 knots of the Alphas and the new Zephyr, for sure the bigger wind range of the Zephyr is a huge point to take in consideration too

Were you able to eliminate flutter (flapping of the dome) in this model? Because models 5,6,7 suffered from this. And this was clearly visible and very noticeable in your demonstration commercials videos. The 2013-2014 model and V4 had no flutter at all!!!

Please replace the longest stitch sewing the soft ripstop canopy to the hard dacron front cylinder of the Zephyr kite from zigzag No. 3 to zigzag No. 6. This seam is short-lived and the thread quickly frays and disappears. I'm tired of repairing and restoring it!!! Replace No. 3 with No. 6 - it’s not difficult at all and use a denser thread!

@Ozone if my previous low end with a 148x47 twintip, at 80Kg, on the Zephyr V5 was 12/13 knots, what realistically could be with this new V8?

We would estimate around 3 knots better low end. Due to the overall lighter weight, with good skills it is possible to work the kite to generate more low end power and speed as it flies faster and is more reactive. Hope this helps! Cheers.
