- MAMAMOO+ - dangdang, GGBB, 나쁜놈 (Aniri ver.) MVs first time reaction! Today I'm finally reacting to the wonderful MAMAMOO once again, and more specifically the subunit MAMAMOO+ featuring my biases Solar and Moonbyul! This has been a long time coming for me, and after months of neglecting them, these two immediately show me why I'm an idiot for doing so. awesome, awesome stuff. I shall neglect Mamamoo......NO MORE. 🙌👑

GGBB and Dangdang has the olden day MAMAMOO vibe, and Solar mentioned that Dangdang was actually the title song for Yellow Flower, but because Solar was injured (herniated disc), and so they had to change to a song that has a less intense and more back-friendly choreo, and thus Starry Night was chosen.
Moonbyul and Solar mentioned that they would like to do things that are different from the OT4 MAMAMOO, and show the general public different concepts and have fun in this subunit.
Also, they said that they like the genres young/debut years MAMAMOO, but it "started to grow darker" over the years, starting from Starry Night, and they wanted to bring back that fun, light hearted vibe back as a subunit. :)
I find Dang Dang to be very Mamamoo. They have always been really quirky and funny. Looking back through your reactions I see you mostly haven't seen that side of them. Most recently 1,2,3 Oi. Classic stuff Um Oh Ah Yeah, 1 CM, Sleep in the Car. Chico Malo is my favorite of their releases so far. The March mini album was called Act 1, Scene 1 so both GGBB and Chico Malo are theatrical. If you pay attention to the costuming and sets in GGBB you can see them moving through decades of style.
Mamamoo+ is a vehicle for Solar and Moonbyul to work together. With Hwasa not having any contract with RBW and Wheein's solo work being with it's live and her remaining contract ending in December. It will be very difficult for the 4 of them to come up with new ot4 content. Though they have no intention of disbanding and have still performed together.
J’aime beaucoup ton analyse, la réussite du film conditionnera la poursuite de OT4 dans une tournée plus globale, avec moins de chanson du groupe entier. A contrario, je trouve que la direction artistique de MMM+ est plus simple de part la symbiose entre MoonSun, plus humoristique. Je sais que Wheein est déjà à travailler sur un comeback. J’ai hâte de voir Hwasa retourner dans un studio pour elle aussi préparer son comeback car elle est un peu en perte de vitesse après s’être concentrée sur la représentation de marques de luxe et les TV show. On voit clairement qu’ils n’y a pas mésentente car elles se soutiennent encore beaucoup. Qui vivra verra. Elles ont un tel potentiel que je ne suis pas inquiet pour elles et nous par conséquence. Chico Malo is my favourite complete production, if you take the music, theme and video as a whole, but DangDang might just be my new favourite song of theirs. It's just so ridiculously catchy!

Fun fact, at 24:12 , the background sound is actually Solar singing. It sounds like a Korean instrument, but she sang it!
More from the two of them: Promise U, Bada Boom, LLL, Starry Sea, I Like That. They also did a part change video which is super. You should watch a few MoonSun videos, too, see if you're convinced that they are a couple.

Those were wedding clothes. Moonbyul was wearing the king's blue hanbok (five toed dragon), Solar was wearing bridal red, playing the part of the nine-tailed fox. The fox fell in love with the king while appearing in human form, the king fell in love with the human form. The fox revealed her true form on their wedding night, which made the king reject her, making both of them bitter and angry at the other.

Btw, they willl be going to a festival in Europe soon! They also announced they will be having a tour this year though they haven’t given details yet.
as wheein and hwasa are with different companies now, a subunit project might be too complicated, but there could always be some kind of special feature on any of their upcoming releases. i very much doubt it to be anything that would include any kind of promotions though.
that said, a single release by hwasa & wheein would be incredible.

Premièrement , j’ai aimé tes réactions. En ce qui concerne Hwasa, comme Wheein, elle a quitté RBW pour la partie solo de sa carrière. Elles seront certainement moins active avec MAMAMOO d’où la création de la sub-unit. La sortie du film MAMAMOO MOVIES dans le monde entier, le 8 août et son succès conditionneront à mon avis une deuxième tournée mondiale. Il faut savoir qu’on les a vu beaucoup ensemble après la fin du contrat de Hwasa. Il n’y a pas mésententes dans le groupe, simplement une recherche de renouvellement créatif côté Hwasa qui passe dans la compagnie PNATION de PSY. Donc moins de morceaux du groupe à 4 membres. Comme la sub-unit démarre à un niveau plus bas que MAMAMOO, Solar et Moonbyul se concentrent sur MMM+ au détriment de leur carrière solo. Leurs 2 contrat finissent en 2024. Qui vivra verra.
Wheein and hwasa did one song ands unit. Two Young Girls is their unit name. Tho the song doesn't fit their personalities. 😂 the song is about bff fall in love with the same guy. Pfffft.
