You must know how korean industry works, there are 3 big companies who rule the industry and for the other companies is really hard to get the same promotion, advertising, support etc. So mamamoo's company was a small company and mamamoo was the first group that became successful, competing on the same level as the other powerful companies group. Actually rbw is known as mamamoo's company (nobody calls them as rbw company haha) because they owe everything to the girls, they made the company. Thats why we love them they worked soo hard and became successful because their pure talent. You should react to purple's hawke introduction to get to know them better.
Can I suggest something? If you're going to watch a Mamamoo MV, pls follow it up with a live stage performance. Mamamoo live stages are really were the strength of the group lies ;)

Since you appreciate their support of the lgbtq+ community, here’s a few suggestions of their work for you to check out:
- Moonbyul’s song “shutdown” featuring Seori (pay close attention to the lyrics), it’s an openly sapphic song that she wrote herself and made an mv.
- wheein did a cover of Kehlani’s song “Honey” on CZcams and expressed wanting to see Kehlani perform and work with her one day.
- wheein also has a solo song with an mv called “Goodbye” that she’s confirmed to be depicting a wlw relationship.

fyi. I'm a +50 cis European male. If I didn't love Moonstar and Mamamoo before... 'shutdown'would have made me to do that. Especially because you know that Moonstar (like the rest of the members) always have a big say in what they do and how they do it.

Contrary to what that guide said, Mamamoo were not over worked. They chose to perform at festivals that many times a day because they could. It helped Mamamoo become the most requested girl group for festivals, they became more well known and it paid off their trainee debt in under 2 years.
Mamamoo's duality as serious artists vs total crackheads is legendary. They'll bring everyone to tears when they sing ballads on Immortal Songs 2 or I Miss You on Queendom and then show up on tv music shows to promote Waggy (a b-side!) wearing doggie outfits or burger, fries, coke & ketchup costumes. What else would you expect from a group with a goofy name like Mamamoo and a dorky fandom called moomoo who used to show up at events with radish masks and real daikon radishes before they got official radish light sticks? As a new fan you're what is known as a baby radish. Welcome to the radish field!

@@KonniJune5 The bond between MMM & moomoos is so tight that you could almost say moomoos are collectively the 5th member of the group. It's really evident in the increasingly complex fan chants MMM has come up with for moomoos. Imo Starry Night live doesn't sound complete without the fan chants.
MMM has written several fan songs over the years, mostly by Solar, and there are also solo fan songs by the members and most recently LLL (Loved, Loving, will Love) by Mamamoo+. When you feel like you're ready watch the live MV for their first fan song I Love Too (aka Never Letting Go, which is the fandom motto) and bring tissues. Rated 5 hankies on the emotional wrecking ball scale. 😭💖

I'll be going to see the movie as well. Thankfully theater is only 8 miles from my house. I went to their concert in May but still going to watch this and taking a friend to introduce them to Mamamoo.
There is a video about Mamamoo Crackhead songs you should check out. There use to be another good one called Chaotic Mamamoo Moments, however I believe it's been taken down😢. Now I think you can only see it through videos of other reactors reacting.

I’ve heard of Exo and will definitely put them on my roster! Would you recommend them over BTS and Stray kids? Those are the other male groups that have been suggested.

I personally would put Exo over BTS and Stray Kids as they are my ult male kpop group, however, I'dsay you should still react to the other groups. ... I've recently gotten into Stray Kids and I have been enjoying it. They are a mix of hip hop and electronic dance. Definitely check them out.
As for BTS, I like some of their solo stuff but not really into their discography as a group. However, I think you should still check them out yourself. They might not be my cup of tea but that does not mean they are not any good. I have friends who love them alot. I'd say give them a try because you might end up liking them and both Stray Kids and Bts are talented groups. 🙂
Another group that I love is KARD. They are a coed group. 2 guys and 2 girls. They are not as famous in Korea but they have a big following in Latin America.

Have bought tickets to watch on both 9th and 12th August, even though I had gone to their live MY CON concert when they came to Singapore (for both days), and even flew to SKorea for their encore concert in Seoul for all 3 days.. As of now there are only 2 Members still with RBW... Solar and Moonbyul, who have formed a sub group Mamamoo+
Hwasa just signed with PNation... although I'm not sure why, as even her good friend Jessi(and others) has left that company.
There seems to be issues there, but I wish her the best.
We don't know what is going on with Mamamoo from this point on, as WheeIn's extended contract ends this Dec(2023), and we don't know if her and Hwasa will resign to continue Mamamoo.

i'm very late to this but there's been a silly little update to the mamamoo overall gayness. there's like a 100% chance hwasa and wheein, along with being friends, used to be together either romantically or sexually, or still are. with wheein's newer album + the song 17 (featuring hwasa), which is exclusively about how wheein and hwasa were eachother's "first", which was heavily implied to be meant as THAT type of a "first". idk if you see this comments but if you do deffinitely recommend reacting to that song with lyrics

konni think you should react to purple hawkes introduction to mamamoo the older one as its two parts and it really shows their personalities and struggles better...as they have twice the time to get more detailed...its also very funny and you can tell the person that made it knew the moomoos very well. Also the Yt MOO 2022 intro was inspired by purple hawke one. It doesnt overlap that muhc.

Okay, so, I think you'll be happy to know Moonbyul and Solar are 90-95% likely to be in a romantic relationship with each other. All of the signs are there, but because it's Korea, they can't admit it. Their lives from 2014 onward are practically all on video, so it's possible to watch them progress from awkward flirting to sexual tension to break up to getting back together to now old married couple vibe. The ship name is MoonSun and they are the biggest ship in K-Pop. Their last album had a love song, with the cover story that it was for the fans (yeah, right), and before that, Solar's solo album had a song specifically about Moonbyul, called Zinggle Zinggle, with the line, "really do love you, my babe." The song's writer, an in-house composer named Cosmic Girl, confirmed that she wrote it based on MoonSun's dynamic. There are literally hundreds of MoonSun videos on CZcams, but the best ones were done by a channel called Tomiskus, MoonSun on Crack.

The Award shows, ANYWHERE are a Joke, in Korea the are Special... It's happened that if a group or artist isn't at the show, they don't get an award.
