⚠ *UPDATE 3.27.2024:* Beginning July 1, 2024, the Priority Pass memberships on the Chase Sapphire Reserve & Ritz-Carlton Credit Card will no longer include restaurant, cafe, or market locations. Access will be limited to lounges & other select airport experiences (e.g. spas).
⚠ *UPDATE Effective 10.19.2023 (see **11:48** in video):* The Hilton Honors Aspire & Hilton Honors Surpass cards no longer offer Priority Pass. For existing cardholders... If you activated your membership before 1.31.2023, then it's valid thru 1.31.2024. If you activated between 2.01.2023 - 1.31.2024, then it's valid thru 10.31.2024.
⚠ *UPDATE Effective 10.01.2023:* Day pass rates will cost $35 (previously $32).
⚠ *CORRECTION:* The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant's Priority Pass membership is for the primary cardholder only (i.e. authorized users do not get their own). I'm unsure if it had always been this way or if it was a policy change when the Bonvoy Brilliant was updated in Sep. 22, 2022.
💥 *UPDATE Effective 1.01.2023:* (a) The Capital One Venture X's Priority Pass membership will no longer allow access to restaurant, spa, or retail locations. (b) Per TPG, the Venture X does not have a limit to the # of guests you can bring into Priority Pass lounges. Source: thepointsguy.com/guide/venture-x-unlimited-guests-priority-pass/
💥 *UPDATE Effective 12.01.2022:* Priority Pass will increase prices for memberships purchased directly from their site. Day pass rates will likely increase, too. Here are the new U.S. prices going forward:
- Standard Plus (10 visits/yr.): $329
- Prestige (unlimited visits/yr.): $469
- Day Pass: $32
- NOTE: None of this affects your level of access for 'Priority Pass Select' issued by credit cards.
I’m a frequent traveler and has been wanting to get more info about priority pass and you provided a lot of answers to my questions
Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Recently got Priority Pass so this video is very timely and super helpful!
Great! Enjoy the lounge life! ✈
Great video! Love your explanations and the text you put up as you’re talking. Awesome chart with all the different card options.
Glad it was helpful, Kathy!
Thank you so much for explaining so clearly. I am so grateful to find this video. Very very helpful information. Thank you for doing this.
I'm glad the video helped you, Ashmita!

👑Mark! I'm always super impressed by how detailed and comprehensive your videos are. Thanks for all the hard work putting this video together to make Priority Pass so much easier to understand. And of course, thanks so much for the shoutout! Happy to help out and get you that insider BofA info 👍!!
Appreciate it man! The travel side of the credit game is quite complex, so thank you for helping me understand the BOA Elite 🏆
I have a family of 4 and it’s one of the reasons I use the chase reserve priority pass over the Amex platinum priority pass. We can use the chase priority pass at
Restaurant in the airport and bring the whole family into the Lounge
Awesome! The restaurant access is great 💯
Hello! I just want to ask, I have a priority pass and would like my parents to use it, do I need to be physically there with them? Or how can they use it without me being present or without my card with them? Thank you to those who can answer my question.
OMG I loved the British accent at the beginning! This video was very useful because I find the travel credit card system a bit complicated LOL!
Glad you enjoyed the intro! Yes, the travel card game is a lot more complex than cash back 😄
Very thorough, Thanks!
You're welcome! ✈
This video helped so much thank you.
Glad to hear it!
Great video, thanks for the comprehensive explanation. It really helped.
I was able to activate because of your help.

Glad to hear it, Pete! Enjoy the membership ✈
Thank you! Really helpful guide!
You're welcome, Shane!
It's worth noting that the Capital One Venture X Card allows up to four free AUs to be added to an account. They also have no age restrictions like other cards. That means potentially you could have 12 total guests (4 cardholders +8 additional) per family of four.
Insane value for lounge access!
@@MarkReese which explains why they took away the restaurant benefits
Great video break down!!
I have Priority Pass membership for my fiance and myself thru the Ritz-Carlton Card. When we used the restaurant feature on several occasions we were credited 30.00 each upfront on our bills and of course we paid the balance that was left which was just a couple of dollars. On a couple of occasions when we both have traveled separate she brought in 4 guests at one time and I brought in 3 guests at one time into one of the lounges at no extra cost. What's great about the Ritz-Carlton Card is the authorized users on the card is free so that makes the Priority Pass so much more valuable thru this card. With my traveling increasing every year the Priority Pass membership has played a big part in my total expected value on my Ritz-Carlton Card.
Fantastic! Great to hear you & your fiancé have been getting strong value from the Priority Pass membership that comes with The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card! ✈️
Same as Capital One Venture X card comes with 4 free Authorized User cards so that means 5 total Priority Pass Select membership all free!
@@anthonychen6237unless something has changed you get unlimited authorized users.
I always enjoy all your videos Mark hopefully I’ll run into you in a lounge one of these days! 👏👏👏👏🙏😎
Glad to hear it! ✈
Awesome video as usual 👍🏽
Thanks Gerry!
Great video. I really enjoy your channel.
Thank you!
Excellent video! Very comprehensive!
I highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton card for the best access to Priority Pass lounges and restaurants. I don’t bother to carry any of the other Priority Pass memberships I received through the Chase Sapphire Reserve and American Express Platinum cards.
Thank you! Same here, currently carrying the PP card via the Ritz 👍
@@MarkReese Is the Venture X PP card same level as Ritz?
@@theinternationalist1357 - No. The C1VX allows up to 2 guests per visit, the Ritz allows unlimited. The C1VX allows up to 4 AUs at no cost, the Ritz allows unlimited (that I'm aware of).

Great video Mark. I don't know if I missed it but it should be noted that the USB AR only offers PP for the first year of card ownership.
The membership card may last 1 year, but it gets auto-renewed every year. I've had PP with my USB AR card for the past 2 years and it's going to renew again in the next couple months for Year 3.
The Altitude Reserve limits you to 4 total visits.
Good collaboration with Stan!
Thanks Mitchell!
Thank you so much for this video Mark. I recently got my Priority Pass membership. Can't wait to use it now.
Awesome! Enjoy it, Aman! ✈️
Priority Pass just sent an email to everyone today saying "you may experience longer wait times at lounges or your entry may be restricted." Lounges are overrun this summer and priority pass is the first thing a lounge will stop taking if they're getting full. Got lucky in Lisbon a couple of weeks ago but when I left there was a line of people waiting.
Welcome to Summer Travel 2022 after being in lockdowns for nearly 2 years 😬
Good info, Mark.I just upgraded my CSP to CSR last week. Now I’m waiting for my very first Priority Card card to arrive. Can’t wait to take a trip and try a lounge. :)
Legit! Enjoy! ✈️
Thank you for the info! The environment doesn't seem too friendly for a family.
Glad to help!
Great video! Thanks for the info!
Any time!
is it me or does the Club at LAS look bigger than the centurion lounge! great job recording inside!!
Haha perhaps because the Centurion Lounge was packed? 😄
Love your accent
Thank you!
I learned a lot thank you I received a 150k AMEX offer and doing some research to see if it’s worth it for me or not. This was a great help. 😄
Glad it was helpful! 💯
Perfect timing! Heading on a trip next week and still haven’t tried the priority pass.
Perfect timing indeed! ✈️
This may have been a recent change, but for the BofA Elite card, it says you can activate up to 4 priority pass select memberships. So even if the guest pass is limited to 2, if you have a family of 4, each of them can have their own membership and you can bring up to 8 guests.
That's correct 👍
Good info and video.
Q: do you have to purchase the tickets with the same credit card to be able to access the lounge?
Thanks 🤙🏼
No. You can purchase the airline ticket with whichever card you like.
like always on point, my question is can i use the priority pass from venture x or chase reserve after landing ( with and without using the same flight ticket )?
It can vary by location. In my experience, yes, but I've only been to a handful of lounges. Check the Priority Pass app first. You can also simply try it & see if the front desk agent lets you in.
Thanks a million
Recently, several lounges that used to allow entry on arrival are now only doing on departure and only 3 hrs prior. This happened at Club LAS. I was turned away….new rule.
Yep it seems like many lounges are becoming departure-only locations with hourly-based limits. Likely an effort to control overcrowding.
I like to take advantage of the minute suite access via priority pass when I have a long layover. I actually don't mind when I have layovers now.
Awesome! I have yet to try Minute Suites. What do you like most about it? ✈️
@@MarkReese I've been in IAH, ATL & CLT. The receptionist are friendly, they offer warm blankets. The suites are marketed to sleep two people but I need all the space for myself. They have a desk if you want to get work done, snacks, alarm clocks that double as white noise machines, light dimers, enough ports to charge all of your everyday travel tech gear & they have showers. I usually just get food from one of the nearby spots in the airport, take my food to the minute suite, eat & take a quick nap. I'm on a flight at least twice every month, it's one of the best perks, in my opinion.
@@DeshasCorner - Sold me at warm blankets (and everything else just adds to that)! 😄 I'll give it a go as soon as I can!
@@MarkReese happy to help 😁
I might’ve missed this but assuming I have unlimited visits, how does using multiple benefits work? Can I visit a lounge, spa, and restaurant in a single trip? When does the restaurant credit renew? If I have a long layover, can I go to a restaurant multiple times? Thanks for the video!
Hi Eric - yes, you can visit multiple Priority Pass locations in a single trip.
Can’t wait to eventually have a card in my wallet that comes with a priority pass membership!
Make it happen! ✈️
You can do it bro!!💪🏾
Hmmmm idk about priority pass atm due the drama going on dragon pass. I think that's something you should look into and do a video on as well.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Great video! I was just approved for the Venture X and I am super excited to get a priority pass! I do have a question, if we have a layover and are switching from the international terminal to the domestic terminal, are we still allowed to access lounges in the international terminal once we arrive? Or does it not matter as long as we can access the lounge and have a boarding pass from the same day?
Hi Teresa - congrats on the Venture X approval! 💳 Yes, you can visit Priority Pass lounges in different terminals on the same day.
@@slamdunk118 Isn't there only 1 Capital One lounge located at DFW though?
@@tkee123 there is another one in Colorado but I heard they are building more, look like few more will be available next year.

Hello Mark , Nice, very helpful video. So thank you very much and a very Happy New Year to you. Could you please confirm, if for 2023, the BofA Premium Rewards Elite card still offers Priority Pass automatically ? Thank you.
Yes it does.
@@MarkReese Excellent. Good to know. Thanks for your quick reply.
Which Priority Pass lounges have you visited? What was your experience? Which credit card gave you the benefit?😃💳
That Ritz card is GOATed. Unlimited guest access. I will be product changing my Boundless early next year to the Ritz-Carlton card!
@@wanderingdoc5075 - GOATed indeed! 🏆
This morning I went to The Club in ATL using PP. Had less than an hour and traveling with a partner that doesn't have lounge access so I didn't want to pay for just a few minutes of guest access at the Sky Club It wasn't as nice as the lounge you showed here but we were able to get some snacks, coffee, and drinks.
Also visited Turkish Airlines Lounge in Miami a few weeks ago. It was a nice lounge and we had some breakfast/coffe on an early flight.
Planning on grabbing the CSR within the next few weeks (hope they come out with a new SUB soon) and looking forward to the resturant benefit for when lounges are limited.
Great video as always.
@@brianwebster5509 - Great that you've already had a couple experience with it! ✈ Good luck on the CSR application when the time is right.

Thanks! And thanks for all the great videos I keep watching and learning. 😀
Read the fine print. We recently traveled with a child and went to a lounge where children are free. We were charged $32 and now the lounge wants us to prove our child was under 12 with a birth certificate or other id. This could have been done easily at the time of entry to the lounge. It's not until you review you credit card statement that you find out the rest of the story. This is not worth the hassle even though the lounge was decent. Two hours of hassle for $32. I'll pass. Would only suggest for single frequent travelers without guests. Each lounge is a separate business with it's own priorities so buyer beware.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with being charged for your child, that's frustrating. Yes, it's worthwhile to read the fine print to know what to expect going in.
@@MarkReese The funny thing is I did read the fine print. The fine print is irrelevant if the partner (lounge) has staff that don't follow their own policies. It puts the customer in an adversarial position between the marketer (priority) and the provider (lounge). I was able to get my money back but had to waste 2 hours of my time doing it. Next time, I will just go directly to the lounge. No need to pay two entrance fees to the same venue. Who knows what the marketer will do with the information I provided. The purpose of the lounge is to relax. This situation created a hassle that ends up wasting my valuable time. This bait and switch trend is rampant in the industry right now as companies are trying to make back lost profits from the pandemic. A positive example of no hassle is Marriot. I booked and paid for a room a month in advance. The pandemic hit and no one could travel. I called. They gave me money back in 5 minutes. The bait and switchers promise you the sun and then spend time coming up with bs to to wear you down while they try to steal your money. This trick doesn't work against seasoned accountants. The businesses doing this trick are just trying to make their sales numbers look good so they can get a bonus or are covering up poor cash flow, theft or trying to pay off high interest operational debt. It's an old story with new actors.
Priority pass let’s card holder plus 2 enter the lounge. If you’re traveling, you should have an ID ready to show TSA, so why not show it to the lounge ?
@@SC_XOLOs it reads like they weren’t asked just charged without their knowledge
Nobody wants kids in the lounge 🤨
Loved the video, Mark. However, it's worth noting that the American Express Bonvoy Brilliant card DOES NOT provide separate Priority Pass membership for authorized users. I just got off the phone with them.
Thanks Damian, you're right! I just reread the PP terms for the Bonvoy Brilliant, which say, _"Please note, Additional Card Members are not eligible for membership."_
Makes me wonder if this had always been true, or if it was one of many changes to the card that took place back in September 2022.
Regardless, I'll add a note to the pinned comment at the top / below the video 👍
I get the feeling that this was a recent change. Still, I love the benefits my Bonvoy Brilliant card brings. I use my Hilton PP benefits and then switch to Bonvoy. 🤣
Sounds like the Ritz is the way to go for big families. I wonder if there's any other compelling reasons to product switch to that card...
Ritz is definitely the way to go if you want the best Priority Pass access 👍 There are some other compelling reasons to get the Ritz card, but their value will be more subjective from one person to another. Here's a link to the Bonvoy Brilliant vs. Ritz-Carlton comparison video: czcams.com/video/QYy3tESNAQ8/video.html
(Note: the $300 credit on the Bonvoy Brilliant will be changing soon to $25/mo. towards dining at restaurants).
Looking forward to visiting the Club CHS in Charleston SC courtesy of Amex Platinum. Need to decide between the Club and the Centurion lounge at LAS on the way home.
Awesome! ✈️
Mark (and others with experience), have you tried the truly unlimited guest privilege with the Ritz Carlton Card's PP (aka a data point with more than 2 guests in a lounge or more than 1 guest at a participating PP restaurant)? There are conflicting stories from Chase Reps whether it is an unlimited benefit or not and the Ritz Carlton lounges section's terms on the chase site has Sapphire Reserve language which is unclear. It seems that the terms for each restaurant specify only adding one guest so I am more curious about the unlimited guest access to lounges. Any help is appreciated for an upcoming trip. Thanks.
I haven't as I don't travel with a lot of people.
Mark, you are great! I was thinking that I didn't need to watch this video, but I was so wrong. Thank you for doing this and keep up the excellent work! I wish I didn't have to wait 21 more months to get the Ritz card

Hi Mark, I have multiple Amex cards that have priority pass benefits. I am allowed to enroll my wife for one of the extra priority pass benefits or it it just strictly to the card holder? 2nd, if I add an AU to the Platinum card would that user get priority pass for there AU card? Thanks for the content. As always its help educate me on many CC benefits.
1. You can only enroll yourself into the Priority Pass benefit on your own cards.
2. If you add an AU, then yes, that person will receive their own Priority Pass membership when they activate & enroll. Note that there is a $175 annual fee for AU Platinum Cards, and that fee includes up to 3 people being added.
How do we know which restaurants accept priority pass AND how do we get credit for it AND how much credit?
Search by airport using the Priority Pass website or mobile app to identify the restaurant locations that accept it. The credit is always the same. I detail the amount and process in the video at 8:41.
I have never been let down so much as I have with priority pass, and the garbage type of lounges it gives me access to

Hi Mark. Thank you for such detailed information. I recently got a capital one venture x card and I'm new to all these benefits. I often travel with my dog in cabin, and I'm wondering if they allow pets in priority pass lounges. I have been trying to find information online but there's no reliable information I could find. Do you happen to know about this? thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Mentes - I'm not sure about that. Different lounges may have different policies. I'd research individual airports / lounges before my trip to see what I could find.
Thank you for responding. I'll do that.
Great video! How closely do they look at your boarding pass? 🤔 I fly Non Rev and would love to have a PP membership but as an airline employee it says I'm not allowed. But I've also heard they don't really look at your boarding pass as they don't care. What was your experience like?

Hi Brad - I'm not familiar with the Canadian version of PP, so I cannot offer a comparison.
LAX Tom Bradley cancelled Priority Pass lounge at Korean Air
☹
For restaurants, can the tip be included in the PP credit in case the restaurant bill is under $28? Or do I need to leave s cash tip?
No. Per the terms, _"Any remaining balance cannot be used towards gratuity."_
So, check your receipt. Some restaurants may add gratuity, others may not. If it's not added, you'll need tip separately.
If my partner and I both have priority passes with restaurants included is there a way to stack the discount?
Sure. You could bring 1 guest with you & your partner could do the same. That'd be a total of $112 in credits.
If I have multiple cards that offer priority pass can I have multiple priority pass memberships for myself? That way I can hit the lounge using one membership & if the food there sucks use a different membership to hit a qualifying restaurant?
You sure can 👍 Probably best to carry the membership that offers access to both lounges & restaurants.
Hey Mark, I was wondering, If I get the membership directly at priority pass do I get a digital card already or do I have to wait for the physical card to use it?
Hi Yannik - I'm not sure as I haven't purchase a PP membership directly. Contact their support team to find out.
I have the pass through my Chase reserve card but I can't get my husband to go to another terminal where the lounge may be. He has to be near the gate. So I have somehow never been to an included lounge.
Priority Pass Lounges may / may not be conveniently located to your gate. That's because they're independent lounges that aren't owned or operated by a specific airline.
That's one of the reasons why it can be worthwhile to get access to a specific carrier's lounge network (e.g. AA, United, Delta, Alaska). Those lounges tend to be located near the appropriate gates and are really convenient.
How has memberships changed since the video was released?
I want to ensure I still have guest access with the Amex Platinum.
I've been posting updates in the pinned comment. For the Amex Platinum Card...there are no changes.
I have only tried to visit those lounges a few times in the US.. they are usually in a terminal too far from my current terminal OR THEY ARE AT CAPACITY AND DO NOT LET ANY "PRIORITY PASS" member enter... and the few times... they specifically noted "priority pass" members.... it's like having a tmobile phone plan.. they give you all the freebies but if you can't access it.. what's the use?
I hear ya...it can be frustrating at times ✌
TSA PRE-check is the same as Priority pass? Do you have to pay for Priority pass? Never heard of it until now.
No, they're different programs for different purposes. Priority Pass is primarily for airport lounge access. TSA PreCheck is a government program for expedited security screening.
Mark,
What if you have two cards that provide PP access? For example, Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant and Amex Platinum? Do you have to create a second PP username and password to couple along with each separate credit card that has the benefit?
Yes. Both have different account numbers, so you'll need to activate them separately & create separate logins.
Hi Mark, one more related question. I have exactly the same CCs as Nick and activated 2 PP accounts. Can I use both accounts at the same lounge, on the same visit, to bring 4 guests into the lounge?
@@ericueno4908 - No. Per the PP Conditions of Use: _"Means of Access may not be used by any person other than the named Customer and only one Means of Access may be used for each visit to a Lounge or Merchant location."_
Will the Amex aspire priority pass give access to gaming bar and spa at the lax location? It doesn’t come up when searching on priority pass website when logged in.
Not sure. I'd ask Amex directly.
question I got my priority pass does my husband need to have a card too as well?
If he travels with you, then you can bring him in as a guest without him needing his own card.
If he travels on his own, he'll need his own card.
If you used the lounge and the spa or restaurant in the same day , would it be 2 visits?
Yes, each new entry is a separate visit.
Is it worth having priority pass with restaurants IE sapphire reserve? Or have more lounges with the Amex platinium?
There's not 1 answer to that. It depends on what you personally value & where you travel.
Can you walk into a lounge that isn’t in the same terminal that you’re departing from?
Yes 👍 Just realize that based on how some airports are laid out, you may have to go through security again.
Good info! Would you happen to know if I have my fiancé as an authorized user on CSR and we’re both traveling together would we each be able to bring a guest in/ get the $28 restaurant credit? First time traveling together since getting CSR and would like to use the PP but my brother and his gf are tagging along.
Yes you can 👍 However, make sure both Priority Pass memberships are activated & that you bring both membership cards to the restaurant.
@@MarkReese thank you, sir!
I have 1 more question Mark, would you happen to know if I am the main cardholder and my fiancé is an authorized user. If I took advantage of the pre tsa perk could he do the same as well?
@@babadooki3 - No. The TSA PreCheck credit is only 1 per overall account. Either you can use it or any of your Authorized Users, but everyone does not get their own individual credit.
I have 2 questions. First how do you deal with multiple PP Lounge Cards in the PP App? Can you have more than 1 or do you have to have a separate username and pw for each card?
Second question is I have downgraded my Sapphire Reserve and now acquired the Venture X; it just makes better sense for me. Can I delete my Sapphire PP card in the PP app and then add my Venture X PP? I haven’t signed up for the Venture X PP Lounge card yet because I don’t want to mess anything up.
Great work as always I appreciate it
1. Each PP membership requires a separate username & password. You can only log into 1 at a time.
2. Your PP membership from the C1VX card will require a new activation / enrollment with a unique username & password. No need to 'delete' the old one from the Sapphire Reserve. Just create the new account for the C1VX PP membership & log in with those credentials going forward.
@@MarkReese Excellent
Thank you for the video very informative.
I have the AmEx Platinum and my wife is an authorized user. Does that mean we each get to take in two guests. Off of the same priority pass
That's correct! As long as you enroll & activate your wife's PP card, then you'll both have the same guesting privileges of 2 complimentary guests.
Can we transfer savor one point to the venture X
Yes 👍
hi Mark. with the Venture X card. how do i renew my Priority Pass when it expỉred ?
It should renew automatically & you'll receive a new PP card in the mail.
@@MarkReese Thank you very much!
If you enroll but can’t get the membership card on time before your next trip, can you still enjoy the lounge benefits?
Potentially. As long as you can get your Priority Pass membership #, you should be able to create a Priority Pass account to activate it. Then, you can download the Priority Pass app, log in, and get your digital pass.
I have a Amex platinum card, I have a few authorized users. Do they need to sign up for priority pass too on their end?
Yes, each AU needs to activate their own Priority Pass membership.
How do you compare DragonPass compared to PP? I live in Dubai and have both DragonPass and Loungekey membership. I guess Priority Pass is more of a US thing (I know LoungeKey and PP are by the same company)? I basically get DragonPass using any Mastercard World and Loungekey using any Visa signature card. Didn't find any card offering a Priority Pass here.
I haven't used DragonPass so I cannot comment on it.
New to C1 Venture X, I have one AU. When registering PP, do I request one PP membership or two including my AU?
Hi Bin - I haven't added AUs myself to the C1VX card, so I cannot confirm 100%. However, it's my understanding that each AU must activate / enroll in their own PP membership. So they should receive their C1VX card, then enroll in PP at the link below with their 16-digit card number, and finally receive their own PP card.
Here's the link to enroll: www.prioritypass.com/capitalone
Hi Mark, Can you use the lounge at the airport that your are arriving to?
Usually yes. However, policies may vary from 1 lounge to another.
@@MarkReese thank you
Loving the in-depth breakdown. I always hear this perk being thrown around, but never had experience with it myself. Thanks Mark!
Also I love seeing Stan getting shoutouts like this! He’s a great dude and a pleasure to make content alongside.
Haha yep, tons of perks get tossed around in the credit card industry, and so many of them leave people with questions due to too much complexity or too little explanation 😄✈️ Thankful that Stan helped me understand the BOA Elite card!
@@MarkReese I agree! That’s what we’re here for though. The collaboration from all of the creators in our niche has been super motivating.
Great video. I was wondering, if i have priority passes through the Chase reserves card and it allows me to bring 2 guests for free. Does it mean i can go to any PP lounge bringing 2 guests? Would the lounge know that I'm allowed to bring 2 guests for free through the PP card or should i tell them beforehand?
Are kids considered as guests or is there a different fee for kids going in?
1. Yes, you can go to any PP lounge & bring 2 guests free of charge.
2. You'll need to mention you have guests at check-in, but there's nothing you need to do to 'prove' your benefit of 2 Free Guests. They'll be able to identify that benefit when you swipe your card.
3. Lounges may have different policies regarding children. I recommend searching for lounges ahead of time - either on the Priority Pass site or mobile app - to read the policy. Often times children enter free of charge under a certain age (e.g. 2 years or younger).
@@MarkReese thank you for the quick response. Just to be sure, once we get the PP card, we don't need to activate it right? I assume we can be used right away?

Hi, Does the Venture X priority pass get the $28 food credit for you and one guest?? If so, does it work for each of the authorized user cards as well or just the main card holder?
1. Yes, the C1VX Priority Pass membership includes restaurants.
2. Yes, Authorized Users get the same Priority Pass membership access w/ lounges + restaurants when they activate their memberships.
Capital One eliminated restaurant access through Priority Pass like American Express
Hi, I checked capital’s site regarding lounge access and I saw that it doesn’t say 2 for PP lounge guests. It shows 2 guests for cap and plaza premium lounges
I saw that, too. From the handful of blogs I've read, it seems that Priority Pass guesting privileges are limited to 2. However, I haven't tried more than that, so if you do & it works, let me know!
For a card with unlimited visits per year. Could you arrive early and eat breakfast with a guest at one restaurant then grab food at your layover airport?
As far as I'm aware, yes!
do they actually SWIPE the Card or do you simply show it along with ID & Boarding Pass? thanks.
It's swiped in order to check if the account is active, etc.
Thanks so much for the thorough breakdown! I've had a hard time finding info on this for some reason. I'm currently focusing on meeting the sign up bonus on my woh card but have a feeling a card with priority pass is in the cards for me next :)
Glad it was helpful!
Priority pass does not have anything in Nj Newark airport which is one of the busy airports
Correct.
Am I eligible for a priority pass, if I have the CHASE SAPPHIRE PREFERRED?
Nope ✌
So, if your flight leaves from a terminal that doesn’t have a Priority Pass Lounge, you’re screwed and cannot freely pass from one terminal to another. Security will not allow you past the checkpoint unless your boarding pass is specifically for that terminal. At Newark (EWR), the only lounge is in terminal B (British Airways lounge). If my flight leaves from Terminal C, I cannot use the EWR lounge. This is very frustrating.
May vary by airport. Some have terminals that are connected airside, others do not. In the past I've gone through security multiple times without any issue to get to various lounges, though that wasn't in the NY area. Lately, I'm finding myself avoiding the behavior as it's quite inconvenient even if allowed. There's tremendous value in getting into airline-owned / operated lounges (e.g. Delta SkyClub, AA Admirals Club, United Club, etc.) as those tend to be located right by the gates of the corresponding airline.
So If I purchase a membership from the Priority Pass website, I will pay either 99, 329, or 469. However, if I have the BOA Elite card, I can simply apply for a Priority Pass card through the Elite card without any additional membership fees?
Correct.
