Just wanted to add that my Citi Strata gets 3x at Travel Agencies…so it’s not just airline and hotels.

I currently have the venture one. I originally wanted the venture card. I had my venture one card for 6 months. Should I apply for the venture card now and upgrade my current venture one card to the savor one? Or should I apply for the savor one and keep my venture one ?

The Autograph is I think a slept on card. It can easily be a major card in a setup. Me personally I’m probably gonna go for the Strata when my recent inquiries die off a bit in my credit score and rock the Citi trifecta. But the autograph is a very solid card

I had the Premier & Custom Cash. Travel portal shut down, downgraded Premier to Double Cash. Travel portal fixed, and travel protections added. Approved for new Strata Premier. Trifecta complete.

The Amex has the option for Primary coverage for a flat fee, which is much cheaper than going through a rental agency, and the coverage is pretty good

Citi is underrated. The Starta Premier is also the best one of these in my opinion to add another card or cards to in the same echo system, to make it even better (maybe rivaled by the Amex gold for the green if you don’t mind coupons)

Amex should dump all the credits on the Green card and make it a no AF card. And the Green card does have purchase protection.

Has anyone had an issue actually receiving the Citi strata premier card. I was approved for the card but it is taking a very long time to arrive.

I prefer my Amex Green solid travel card with solid travel rewards. Second option I’d go with would be the WF Autograph card no AF with excellent rewards categories and some travel value!

I was given a $175 retention offer in April for my gold card, with 3K spend in 3 months I believe

I keep going back and forth on whether to just stay with cashback setup or move to travel. Travel points seem to be more max value, but maybe I’d be better if just targeting cards that have points instead of straight dollar cash back? I don’t travel now but may later on

8:05 As a Hilton employee I implore you, NEVER USE THIS FEATURE! We don't have a secret archive of rooms we're saving for big shots. We literally take people who played by the rules and made their reservations in a timely manner and giving them the boot. It's insanely unethical. But to be fair, we "walk" them to another hotel, which includes paying for their room at the new place. Some thrifty travelers actually like it, a free hotel room. Most people though, showing up late to a hotel having spent 18 hours in a car and/or on a plane, get pretty upset when you have to put them back on the road, often sending them several towns away (if we're sold out, most of the other local hotels are too).

How do you compare DragonPass compared to PP? I live in Dubai and have both DragonPass and Loungekey membership. I guess Priority Pass is more of a US thing (I know LoungeKey and PP are by the same company)? I basically get DragonPass using any Mastercard World and Loungekey using any Visa signature card. Didn't find any card offering a Priority Pass here.

You only use credit card for big item like above ten thousand or something. No body use credit card for food or shopping like peasants but the internet shopping fool people so they steal creditor data base and server and they even blow up creditor office for using credit card like peasants on farmers market

This why i tell my family dont focus on the score just focus on the information. Pay your bills on time and in full, dont give your social , dont close credit cards if theyre free (no af), and work to improve your overall credit limit while staying within your budget

I came here after Marriott Westin Seattle charged a ridiculous $90 a day as rm charge - reward redemption plus destination fee for $180 for 2 days. This is after redeeming almost 90K points for 2 nights, just ridiculous. Their billing department says that it should not be charged. I have disputed it.
