I couldn’t help but love the fact that Fran was so sad about Gracie not needing her anymore, because it felt like she was really Gracie’s mom.

Being a nanny myself, I totally relate. I took care of a little girl from the time she was 18 months old until she went into 1st grade. And I remember the 1st time she went to a playday on her own. Not that I felt like I was her mom, but when you take care of a child 40 hours a week for five or so years, you can become quite attached and used to being needed by someone so young and innocent. It was a bit upsetting that she didn't need me taking care of are so closely any more.
Yes especially when she told Maxwell she is losing her baby. Gracie was the most like Fran, their bond was so precious. Fran really loved those kids like they were her own even her family embraced them.
They had a special bond with each other

As it turned out Fran sure loved Maxwell’s Children! As they loved her too ! She made a great Nanny / Mom ! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
This was why the children loved her. The previous nannies treated the position just as a job, while Fran put her love into it.
