Great content alex, we have been going to the pizzeria sirrocco for the last 20 years, really friendly inexpensive restaurant, spag bol is great here and the pizzas are great to, if you are travelling with children, they are really friendly, we highly recommend this place
10:52 Restauranet Es Passeig is my favourite on Repic Beach! Delicious, imaginative food and really good value.
LOVE Port de Soller. Even though I'm always down in Santanyi, it's probably my favourite place on the island. Contrary to some, I don't think the development has spoiled it at all. I've got a pic of my parents in Port de Soller, and all that's there is the Esplendido, and the very first hotel, the one on the corner, (name escapes me - is it The Eden?), and a couple of other buildings. Love the restaurants over the far side beyond the marina, although it's not cheap.
Watching the sun set over the bay.... Gorgeous!
Did you park in the multi-story? That's 'fun'😂 Although it's not as bad as the underground one in Soller!
Nice video.
Thank you for the very comprehensive tour Alex. Your knowledge of all the towns and resorts in Mallorca is unsurpassed.
Fantastic Video. Well Done.
Brilliant video with great updates & views The look at the prices is really helpful, thanks.
Thanks Faith!
Great video Alex. Hopefully next year I can get to Port de Soller. Best wishes, John
Thanks John
Informative video - thanks, Alex. I predict prices will rise next year as soon as the rennovation of that now expanded, substantial four-star hotel is complete ...'twas ever thus!
I hope not :(
Thanks for the continued videos giving us inspiration, as of today, holiday has been booked for end of September to Palmanova :)
It looks so nice x
Really enjoyed watching this video Alex. The citric has undergone a major transformation. Omg! It looks like there is still lots to do. I noticed some steel beams on the front of the building that may be large balconies for the rooms. What a view they will have
It will be amazing, but my goodness, the old hotel hides in the shadow of this new construction.
Just noticed live music in restaurant lol
Brilliant video as always Alex. We spent a day in Soller / Port de Soller in April and loved it. The lighthouse walk is amazing
It is David - it's such a pretty part of the island!
Look.lovely alex saw it in quiet winter months ,is there much going on eg any live entertainment in bars/restaursnts ,hotels .
Hi Alex, another great video of the port, you’re just teasing me but only 5 sleeps to go and I’ll be there! I believe the Marina Hotel has been run by the same family for over 80 years now. Karen and I used to stay there on a few occasions and I use it frequently on my holidays as a regular drink stop and the odd lunch or two. It’s good value, has a good position and I’ve got to know quite a few of the regular staff through my many visits to the port. Simon 😊😎🍺
Have a lovely time Simon!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun thanks Alex, if you find yourself in the Port between the 1st & 18th of July, let me know and I’ll treat you to a drink/ice cream or both! Simon🍧🍦
Thanks Alex. Lovely place but expensive for me.
Great video thank you Alex looks lovely
Thank you so much! I’m staying at the marina hotel very helpful ❤
It does look really lovely, but for me it would just be a place to have lunch, I much prefer being in Soller town. I’m not really a beach lover. Lovely video thanks Alex.
When we first visited port de soller, it was virtually a one street town. It has grown so much,it has been made so commercial now.
But being such a popular beautiful island, I suppose we should expect this. Majorca has so much to offer, but a balance must be put in place for the people that live their. But without the holiday trade, majorca would be struggling financially.
agreed!
I picked Port de Soller as one of my retirement destinations, 10-15 years ago -- sadly its changed so much for the worse and its off the list.
After 15 years I’ve also changed so much for the worse.
That's a shame because I know you have asked me what it's been like.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Yeah I know, very disappointing.
I might be over in Sept/Oct to check out other retirement spots to see how they are.
Alright for a quick visit, but be boring being there a week
Nice choice of restaurants in port de soller. Is that the place with a secret beach btw. 😉😂
LOL no secret beaches here ;)
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun I believe you 😍. Where exactly are they all ?
Hello, traveling there with my 2 kids (10&12) do the chair operators accept credit card or is it cash only? Thank you!
Love soller but jeez its expensice compared to the rest of majorca and it feels like its a premium price for regular meals not fine dining
You're looking quite 🔥 today
😂
