    Is it safe to jack the vehicle up by the axle like that? I was always taught to either jack things up by the frame or if you are going to jack something up by the axel to do it at the end by the U-bolts.

      It's completely safe to jack from the axle, reason for that adapter that cradles the axle tube itself. Kit also has flat plate attachment for jacking at the frame.

    is it OK to store the bottle lying down like that? I thought they needed to be stored upright. May information may be out of date though :)

      Yes, a hydraulic jack can typically be laid on its side and still work. Hydraulic jacks use a liquid, usually oil, to transmit force, and they are designed to work in various orientations.
