I never read the Master Race comic as I hated 'Dark Knight Strikes Again' but I've binged the comic now and I'm going to put a paragraph explaining it in the description. I personally like the madness effect post Lazarus pit bath. It's a reminder of nothing in life is without its price. Plus, I imagine if someone had very repressed anger or restraint throughout one's life, the Lazarus pit would just unleash and multiply those feelings.

The trade off of this continuities Lazarus pit is that it doesn’t drive the person using it mad which is a trade off… I can’t quite remember what happened in the episode, but if I’m not mistaken doesn’t the pit effect the personality of the user to be more aggressive.
You forgot on more time Batman used the Lazarus pit. It was in "The Dark knight 2". Batman vs. Bane. Bane broke Batman's back. Bruce Wayne had to make the jump to get out of the hole. When he did, he crawled out the hole like it heeled him similar to a Lazarus pit.

The three jokers thing is completely unrelated to the laughing man stuff, and the laughing man stuff was revealed in literally the end of that arc to have been a lie, created by joker to mess with batman and the city. The explanation that is given is fairly simple: joke just happened to accidentally fall into the pit when he fell off the underground waterfall during Death of the family storyline, which both healed the injuries he received during that fall and reconstructed his face. The three jokers thing has been dubbed Non-Canon after the Black Label was launched and even in that story, the point is that there was only one joker, who at some point created other two just to mess with Batman as well. This joker is the original The Killing Joke joker, where we find out that he was never really a caring husband, but an asshole, and his wife faked her death to get away from him, leading up to the events of the killing joke. Again, that storyline isn’t canon.

I don't think main Bats ever once used it to bring himself back from death. That's really what corrupts. You can get away with healing a wound once and not go corrupt. It's repeated use of the pit or just being brought back from death once in it that can corrupt.

The thing with the DCAMU Laz pits, isn't that they can't reverse death. Its that they can't reverse death and the ungodly amount of damage Ra's underwent before death. A common rule of the pits is that the body of the resurrected must be in a somewhat decent condition.
Ras used it to bring himself back from death. That is what Batman refuses. Healing wounds doesn't corrupt without repeated use, it's being brought back from death that can be a one way ticket to crazy town. If flashpoint Marta were just injured, the main Bats wouldn't have stopped Thomas Wayne from putting her in it, but she was dead not just injured.
Given that the Fountain of Youth and the Lazarus Pits seem to do the exact same thing (healing and de-aging), yeah, it seems likely they´re closely related. Maybe the pits are an impure version of the fountain, hence why they don´t kill people who aren´t of a pure heart.
I am also fond of the batman beyond one but my favorite one is the fountain of youth because it is another showing of just how skilled batman is even if he is outmatched by a better person. darkseid sometimes falls under the stupidest situations like superman where instead of just ending it before it started. instead of going omega beam through time. burn his hands and feet off, and then turn him into a soldier as what you usually do 99.99% of the time.

There's other mini series comic where it's years after the golden age of DC, and batman is still around (I think 30-40 years) after the other heroes are long gone bc of the government. It follows batman crew who wonders if he's really batman from ages past and Jim grandkid(who becomes like their grandpa as commissioner) learns this batman is indeed the real batman from years ago but is still the same age as he was back then. Hinting he used the pit to keep fighting crime in his city
How did you miss his infamous use in the *Dark knight strikes again*. As he laid dying, he made superman promise not to involve Hospitals. Clark then took him to the Lazarus pit.
Because... Dc finds it more profitable to keep him around than to kill him off only for "continuity" Im sure a reasonable explanation is that he was using it a lot during the Lost years to fully heal him. Since he is in his first life, he'll last a few decades before the accelerated aging will come in and take him out. Like late 40s or 50s. Just my rationale

They aren't only temporary. There are many different continuities of the Laz pit mentioned in the video. The main continuity pit can be temporary, or the corruption may never go away at all. But it *will* bring someone back from death either way and not just temporarily. The risk of the main pit is just corruption, not that it will not work.

It's the side effects they gave the PIT in most of the DC Multiverse. Batman should canonically have some sort of small bit of Lazarus pit water in case of emergencies. Because his personality at the core is about the ends justifying the means and always having a backup plan.

There's other mini series comic where it's years after the golden age of DC, and batman is still around (I think 30-40 years) after the other heroes are long gone bc of the government. It follows batman crew who wonders if he's really batman from ages past and Jim grandkid(who becomes like their grandpa as commissioner) learns this batman is indeed the real batman from years ago but is still the same age as he was back then. Hinting he used the pit to keep fighting crime in his city

After that He Dug himself out of his Grave and went around Gotham Mindlessly like a Zombie, then long story short Talia ends up finding him, to earn Batman’s love back he brought him to the Lazerous pit for him to get fixed (he forgot everything from being beaten to death by Joker) so the Lazerous pit doesn’t bring the dead back? They aren't only temporary. There are many different continuities of the Laz pit mentioned in the video.
The main continuity pit can be temporary, or the corruption may never go away at all. But it *will* bring someone back from death either way and not just temporarily. The risk of the main pit is just corruption, not that it will not work.
idea, the fountain of youth is actually the source of the Lazarus pits, but the idea is that someone took a sample of the fountain of youth somehow and tried to duplicate it, but making flawed versions each time.

It's the side effects they gave the PIT in most of the DC Multiverse. So the good guys come get Resurrected there are consequences but the bad guys have no problem using it.. it's a very thought out weakness and a really good idea so you have the infamous bad guy always coming back from the dead but the good guy is really sacrificing something if he uses it on a loved one. I mean technically Bruce Wayne could throw Martha Wayne Thomas Wayne in there and it would work. But they would be damned. So long dead they've come back like the Pet Sematary people.. but Captain Cold and Lex Luthar and Joker you could not tell any difference...As they got out of the Pool kicked a kitten and had some Baby Seal Steaks. Batman should canonically have some sort of small bit of Lazarus pit water in case of emergencies. Because his personality at the core is about the ends justifying the means and always having a backup plan.
Ngl, I thought Batman wouldn’t be able to go into the fountain as I think he isn’t pure at/of heart. There’s many times he’s admitted he’s not a good person and when he was with Constantine and the demons showed up, they said Bruce has eluded them many times. But hey, glad I was wrong!❤️
