Tim Drake and Ra’s Al Ghul started it, but in the show, Tim Drake found it out by watching Batman, Robin, and Batgirl’s last battle together against The Joker before Dick Grayson became Nightwing. Later on, he met Batman when his father was killed by Two-Face, and then in the Batcave, Tim met Bruce Wayne, and the two ends met.

Bane is actually a genius and a master-class fighter. Him figuring out Batman's identity just by analyzing Bruce Wayne's movement patterns is actually pretty spot on, if you ask me. Only a person with such an eye for things like that could catch the similarities.

    • @aurorabarnwell1108
      @aurorabarnwell1108 Před 2 lety +4

So the DC universe is pretty loose in what is fact and not so it's mostly up to opinion as to what's believed. I like to go with The Killing Joke origin for Joker. In which he is a very brilliant chemist to work at Ace chemicals, had a great job and only quit for happiness. It's also just obvious with shit like his Joker gas. So that's points. His understanding of psychology is astounding with how he analyzes Batman, people like Riddler, and the entirety of Gotham. He is intelligent enough to see behind every curtain. In multiple comics Joker has known Batmans identity for a very long time and chooses not to acknowledge it. He has found ways into the Batcave. He has made elaborate plans and weapons. He has a very complex view of the workings of the universe. In my mind I like to think of him as the smartest. Lex Luther may have a very great understanding of mind, money, machines, chemicals, space, etc. But Joker has a deeper spark to his thinking, and delicate plan to everything and he has made it to no matter what he wins. So I put him above all. Then Batman, Lex, Bane, Tim, Dick, Damien, Strange, Riddler, etc, etc. Honestly I wish I could rant all day about a detailed analysis of The Joker. His character is so completely complex. To me what makes him the most intelligent is that he is the most aware. He knows that he is crazy and wrong and that all of this is pointless, just gears and chemicals. Nothing means anything. Even Lex is blind to his complete lunacy. Batman is the only one who may have the same awareness that nothing he's doing is making a change. It's making it worse. He's crazy. And vengeance is for nothing. All just my wierd ass ner opinions. I rank the smartest as the most aware and deep thinking. Just cause you know rocket science doesn't mean you you have a deeper understanding of reality

Actually Bane figuring out Batman was Bruce Wayne by the way he moves is more realistic than you believe. I personally have identified a masked person who broke into a store I worked at by the way he moved on video surveillance. I told the detective working the case what I thought, but he discarded my response initially. After the 2nd break in he decided to look into the person to discover he had discarded boxes of the stolen electronics in front of his house and found more evidence in his car. When the detective came by to tell us he arrested him, I laughed and told him he was lucky that the guy was a moron for keeping evidence.
Basically Bane is a well experienced fighter and would be likely to notice a person's movement patterns. Especially with someone like Batman with whom he has had many confrontations with.

    - Finally, the most obvious of them all: Bruce mysteriously vanished when the Bat-signal showed up

@@QuickSilverKitsune When I said "Try not to lie" I was talking about John but if you wanna extend it to the entire Pact, I can do that too or at least keep it to a minimal. There's a difference between deceit & withholding information & a flat out lie & there are options that you can pick to set it up that way. Playing & thinking as Bruce. I don't wanna push him down any path. I don't want villain Joker to kill half the city, cripple Gordon & act like an obsessed ex GF. Nothing will ever work out this easy in the world of Batman, but I just want him to get help & not have the fate of another grown man resting solely on my shoulders. You can call me out for what you see as contradictory thinking or bogus justification, but I can do the same for you. You can't tell me Gordon & Avesta's problems are not Bruce's problems or that they aren't needed. You can't call Alfred's health issues & legitimate points & concerns for his son's safety BS but turn around & coddle, mentor & take responsibility for a crazy person who you knew for less than an hour. By your own admission is too warped to live the life you live. Blackmailed his way into your life & is more of a burden than any of your allies & give me a BS symbolic connection cuz you really like John. It's easy to come across that way no matter what side you're on because it's just a matter of choosing who your loved ones are. Alfred is your Father. You're mourning someone who was like your Uncle. Tiffany & the rest of the Fox family is like your family too & you hold a way bigger responsibility to them than you do to Joker. Gordon is a trusted friend & partner who would fight as hard for you as you do for him so yeah I want him. Avesta while she did many of the same things that John did in terms of helping, she at least isn't someone who belongs in an asylum & won't unleash holy hell on the city if you part ways so yeah she's the new COO of my company. And Selina, she wasn't the target, didn't give a me a death puzzle, didn't kill in the hopes to steal a dangerous serum, so yeah I can be duty oriented, be with her, erase her record/ and or have her released because she is a loved one who helped me. Am I choosing between Joker & Catwoman in what criminal I want in my life? Is this even a contest? Both are flawed, both help, both need my influence. Difference between them is that the emotional connection is mutual with Catwoman & she's independent. And guess what? If all else fails, she's a beautiful woman, has great genetics, a pussy, can be Bruce's wife & give him a family. If there was ever a time to be "Thirsty" for somebody this would be it. Or am I supposed to be "Thirsty" for Joker?

There’s another character who figured out Batman’s identity: an artificial intelligence named D.A.V.E from The Batman.
He used a process of elimination by examining public records of Gotham City.
First, he took the male population and struck out any male who wasn’t in Batman’s rough age group.
Then, he looked at medical records to determine who of those remaining men had the build and athletic skills that match Batman.
Next, he looked at tax records to find any of those men who had the wealth and resources to create Batman’s gear.
Finally, D.A.V.E viewed news archives to determine a motive for any of those men to become Batman. That motive is the night that Bruce’s parents have died at the hands of that criminal.
D.A.V.E only showed in one episode, so I can see why you didn’t include him on this list.

Identifying numerous irregularities within Wayne Enterprises financials, Reese's private investigations led to him discovering details regarding the Batman's equipment suppliers. Putting it all together, Reese deduced that Bruce Wayne had to be the Batman. Reese met with Lucius Fox, Wayne Enterprises CEO, to tell Fox that he knew the identity of the Batman, had proof, and offered to keep silent for $10 million a year. Fox reminded Reese of Wayne's immense wealth and connections with the veiled threat that, if need be, Reese could be "disappeared" very quickly.

    A few you missed:
    1. Superman in the Animated Series.
Unlike most versions of Superman, who was told by Bruce Wayne as part of joining the justice League, the Superman of the Animated Series found out Batman's identity by using his X-ray vision to see through Batman's cowl. Of course, Batman immediately returned the favor by sneaking a tracking device on Superman and following Supes home.
    2. Barbara Gordon in The Batman cartoon series:
Barbara Gordon saw Bruce Wayne and almost immediately figured out he was Batman because Bruce had the resources to pull it off, the same muscled physique, and even the same distinctive chin.
    3. D.A.V.E. in The Batman:
D.A.V.E. was a robot designed by Hugo Strange to be the perfect supervillain. D.A.V.E. (who thought he was a human who had put his brain in a robot body) figured out that Bruce was Batman by first narrowing down the adult men of Batman's likely age, then figured out which one of those are wealthy enough to be Batman via tax records, and then figured out that Bruce was the only one of the possible candidates with a tragic backstory.
    4. Owlman in the comics:
In Owlman's home universe, he was Bruce Wayne's brother. Upon meeting Batman he was able to easily put two and two together.
    5. That Accountant from the Dark Knight:
Some random accountant in the Dark Knight realized that Wayne tech's seemingly dead R&D department was spending a LOT of money. He looked around and found the Batmobile prototype in the old files. He tried to use this to blackmail Batman, but Lucious Fox convinced the accountant that would be a really, REALLY dumb idea.
(Note, the next two characters found out Batman's identity nearly by accident, but I will mention them anyway).
    6. Aunt Harriet from the comics:
Possibly the stupidest character to figure it out, Aunt Harriet was basically Bruce's housekeeper in the early days of the comic. At one point she stumbles upon the Batcave and realizes Batman's identity. However, Bruce and Dick were able to convince Harriet that Batman is just a good friend who is allowed to stay in the basement. She was actually convinced by that lie.
    7. Killer Moth in the comics:
In a similar case to Aunt Harriet, Killer Moth got plastic surgery to look like Bruce Wayne and snuck into Wayne Manor, discovering the Batcave. However, before the Killer Moth could really do anything with this knowledge, he was shot in the head, and like Bane/the Riddler lost all memory of what he learned.

Tim figured the rest out soon after at only 6 years old. He kept the secret until after Jason's death, when he realized Bruce was spiralling out of control. Which was when he went to Wayne Manor, told Alfred what he knew and how, took Dick and Jason's Robin costume, and dressed in it to shock Bruce into seeing the path he was going down. He knew the truth LONG before Dick became Nightwing.
