It's a real nice city. To get the full experience you should really visit in the summer, that's when its buzzing fully! Early spring everyone and everything is still in a half coma so to speak.

Even before being a member of Nato Finland had not so many russian cars etc.

Finland has always been strictly western european and even russians think that.
Nordic/Scandinavian but has a lot of history being so far East. I agree definitely Western Europe
