Some parents don't support conversations and that's my challenge. They dismiss and avoid conversations but throw emotional tantrums.

I agree that honoring does not always mean doing exactly what your parents would like you to do but the bible also says “children obey your parents in all things.” I always get stuck there. Is that talking about small children?

Once you are married, you cleave unto your spouse and become one flesh with them. My husband doesn't always agree with my mother, and in these instances: I obey Him first.
