Okay then tell me why did he throw that pick at the end of the Lions game? He is overly excitable and still immature for being a team leader and he is just a stop gap QB at this point in his career. If the OC leaves us the true Baker will be exposed. The footage doesn't lie.

Lifelong Sooner fan here and one of the coolest things about this year was knowing from day 1 the ride Bucs fans were going to take with Bake at the helm. Knowing already while watching Bucs fans discover who this guy REALLY is! I had all but checked out of the NFL due to how the media AND the Browns did Baker. Do the right thing by Bake with a meaningfull contract, utilize the draft and free agency wisely and go ahead and add 1 more Bucs fan to your ranks! I look so forward to chasing the next Bucs SB with Baker & The Boys!!! WHOOOOOOO ..... GO BUCS!!!😊😊😊

Yeah. People like you were won over by Geno Smith last season. Who had a better year than Baker stat wise this season. They gave Geno a 3 year 105 million contract for the comeback player of the year. "He earned a franchise qb status in Seattle" all people and analysts said. How did he do in 2023? Worth that 35 million a year? Same thing could happen to Mayfield. Regression is more in Baker's future. Casual fans don't understand this is a qb friendly system. McVay and Shanahan made it popular, West coast system with alot of motion and movement and quick passes. McDaniels, Canales and others around the league copy cat it. It's a copy cat league. Funny how people don't pick up that Tua, Purdy, Stafford, Mayfield and geno last season all have similar numbers in this type of system. 🤔🤔

I agree, if the O-line can improve on run blocking the Bucs offense hard to stop. As for DB's, I like C.Davis, Jamel Dean & of course Winfield jr. But they need a good slot corner. The game against the lions was frustrating to watch cuz it seemed the entire first half they played zone coverage. Which obviously isn't their strength. In my opinion that's what lost us the game.

This video was absolutely what I needed to watch today. I am guilty of getting far too emotional watching it. I have been avoiding social media since the Bucs lost their playoff game. This team has worked so hard this year and they have accomplished so much. I am so proud of this team. Admittedly I am a Sooner fan and will always support Baker. He has found his home, where he belongs. The Buccaneers have done so much for his career as he keeps maturing and improving. Please re-sign him, Bucs. He will lead the team to the Super Bowl, I promise you. #GoBucs

If the Bucs keep OC Canales and run it back in the same system for a second year in a row with Mayfield and the core group (Evans, etc), the Bucs are a serious Superbowl contender next year. Ironically, Mayfield may get to the Superbowl before Allen, Jackson, Herbert, Watson, Prescott, Tagovailoa, etc.

They need a better offensive line. Can’t have the QB pressured non-stop. Those corner blitzes from the Lions didn’t get addressed, the commentators were pointing that out again and again. If you look at Brady’s highlights, he had all day to throw and when he was bullied he lost.

The real question is, is Baker Mayfield a superbowl caliber qb?
The answer is NO.
Mayfield is like Phillip Rivers or Tony Romo with way less stats and wins. But why I say this, in the 2 biggest games he played in, in the divisional rounds in 2019 and now 2023. A chance for a comeback in 2019 int to end their chances during money time. This year an ugly int to end the game in money time. He hasn't proved he can win the big games. He never will be that guy. And he won't prove me wrong. He doesn't have that something extra the great qbs have. The superbowl winners have. That's the facts. Nothing he's done proves me wrong.
