Easiest and most economical headboard tutorial I've seen. Beautiful. 👏

Love the headboard!!!!
I'm about to move and this is about to save me so much money 😂😂 I love how resourceful this is and that you got to recycle some extra fabric you had from another DIY project too! I don't think mine will turn out as pretty as this one but will definitely be doing this one 🔥
Thanks Ryan :) I'm so glad I got to use the rest of the fabric too! Good luck with the move! I'm looking forward to seeing the new back drop 😆

Thanks Jamie!! haha I need to catch up on your new place! 🥰
Oh my goodness stop that, you literally just did that while using cardboard! You seriously make everything so neat and nice, like you are somewhat of a perfectionist and it just definitely works in your favor! I love how affordable and unique this is!
Thanks Brooklyn! 🥰haha I definitely am a perfectionist, that's so funny that you can sense that! You always leave the sweetest meaningful comments ❤️❤️

*ohhhh.!!.!.!.!!.!.!.!.!!.*
The headboard looks beautiful! it came out so well. How much do you think this costed?
Thank you!! 😊Excluding the stapler gun, it cost ~$50 (fabric + foam + quilt batting)! Some ways to reduce cost is to not use quilt batting or use some sort of blanket/quilt you already have at home
It's also cheaper to buy a cheap mattress pad instead of craft foam. I found one at Walmart for $15, and she is right about the batting, it does look a lot smoother with it, but you can use an old blanket or comforter.
Looks great!! What size cardboard did you use? Or would you suggest?
Thank you! We measured it to the width of the full sized bed. I’d recommend going about 2-3inches wider than your bed frame so it looks more even when you’ve got bedding on it 😊
What a cheap af diy!!
Yes!!
👍😍❤️🌺💕⭐😘😘
❤️❤️
I’m totally stealing this idea!! it doesn’t appear as though the staples went all the way through to the front. Do you happen to recall, or would you recommend, a particular staple size? The smallest I have for my staple gun right now is 10 mm, but I know that you can get as short as 4 mm.
I'm sorry I don't remember the staple size, but we did have to re-staple a few months later. I would recommend whatever works for the thickness of your mat 😊
_ wow looks great !!
Done full pack host
New friend here:)
Thanks so much for the support! 😊
hi, what's the update 1.5 years later? are the foam still the same thickness and it doesnt smell foul?
Hi, my friend has had it for a year and there was no foul smell and the foam has maintained shape. The upholstering can loosen up which you can restaple to tighten. Hope that helps!
What are the dimensions? I have a queen size bed and want to do something similar but don’t know how tall/wide to make it
This was for a full sized bed and I made it to the width of the bed frame. For the height - we did as far as the cardboard folded, but it's really up to how high you want your headboard! Good luck and thanks so much for watching 😊
I didn’t realize the importance of ironing it while laying down the fabric
Will the stapler easily fall off?
It can fall off depending on how much you plan on leaning on the headboard, etc. just may have to re-staple here and then. hope that helps!
How to install head board diy in the thankyou new subscriber here
Thank you! I explained in the video - we used command strips to stick it on the wall :)
Now that it’s been a year, how did it hold up?
The staples have come loose in a few spots but is an easy fix - just re staple!
Easy😂
Staples fall out of cardboard
I love this idea but for renters, I think it'll attract roaches, since they love cardboard
ahh thanks for sharing this!!
