- American Airlines Trip Report from Dallas to Madrid onboard one of the American Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
This flight was the end of my trip with American Airlines. The Boeing 787 is a really comfortable plane. The flight was very comfortable and, thanks to the jetstream over the Atlantic, lasted almost 2 hours less than the way to Dallas-Fort Worth. Hope to fly back to the USA soon!

I had flown several times on the B787 but always on short-haul. This was my first long-haul trip on the B787 and it really surprised me. It was really comfortable. :)

Fantástico video, es muy emocionante e increible la sensación de cruzar "el charco" con estos aviones. Cada dos años hago viajes de largo radio y la verdad es que es una sensación que no se puede describir, subir a un avión, y después de unas horas estar en la otra punta del mundo... Y antes de eso rodar por la terminal y ver diferentes aviones que van a volar a miles de kilometros de donde estas, mientras se oyen los motores del avión...
La verdad, creo que si no me hubiera venido a vivir aquí no tendría esta locura a los aviones.

In general, Madrid-Barajas Terminal 4 (and Terminal 4s) are very unique. I like them a lot. Also, they are extremely easy to use and connect between flights.

Excusme for a coment: The Madrid airport control tower is nice and very futuristic. But look at the Barcelona’s one. The architectural construction of a hyperboloid of revolution is very interesting. Greatings from Barcelona 😄

Me ha encantado el detalle de utilizar el español para dar indicaciones y bienvenida al vuelo. Estados Unidos desde el aire debe ser lo más. Yo lo he visto pero de noche y no mola tanto. Muy buen despegue y Dallas es inmensa. Un vuelo muy bueno.
La verdad es que me quedé con muchas ganas de grabar más vídeos en USA! Tenía ya todo planeado para 2020... pero el COVID impidió todo, como ya sabemos.
Ahora el plan es para finales de este verano :)

Simplemente espectacular volar largas distancias en una buena aerolínea, y más cuando puedes tener un amanecer épico como en el que tuviste de regreso a Madrid y que el Sky Interior lo emulara a la perfección, 10/10 en este vuelo.
Este fue el primer vuelo del canal en el que pude grabar un atardecer y amanecer en el mismo vuelo. La verdad es que fue una sensación mu chula jaja

¡Increíble video! Me encanta ver DFW y el B787 de American en tu canal, ya he podido volar en el B789 pero fue en un vuelo domestico de DFW a San Francisco y me encantó. (la sobrecargo me hizo un tour de todo el avión, incluyendo las áreas de descanso para la tripulación y de primera clase), ojalá pueda volarlo un vuelo largo pronto. @@claytoony891 I personally think it has great renovations on it's older terminals, good accessibility, constant improvements, etc. It has some to what people call it's own DFW Airport City, consisting of its own police department, gas stations, jail, etc. Not only that, but it kind of is a great hub for domestic US flights since it's near the center of the contiguous US, which allows for equal flight distance/time from perhaps DFW to LA and DFW to MIA.
Boeing sure makes good airplanes. I’ve flown in my fair share of 737s
I flew this route back in 2012...the flight was operated with a Boeing 767-300ER

Great trip report! Just one correction. If I remember correctly from flying in and out of this airport myself several times, it's called Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Always loved USA maps 🤣🤣🤣 Budapest seems to be 100's of kilometres away from where it should be, same goes for 80% of the map.. cities move like leaves on water whenver I open USA inflight catalogue...Vienna jumped up too... perhaps hiccups..no longer next to Pressburg (Bratislava) it just moved.

The entrance of DFW Airport reminds me of the entrance of Miami International Airport.
I've never been at Miami airoprt, but I guess many USA airports are similar to others in the country. The same happens in many other countries as well :)

Aterrizaje: ??:??
Si pones eso en la descripción con los minutos donde pasa todo hay marcas de tiempo, y aparecen en la barra del video dividido. Deberías probarlo, Saludos.

Que buen vuelo, el Dreamliner es muy espacioso y cómodo y sobre todo con ventanas mas amplias. El 2016 estuve en Madrid pero entré y salí por la terminal 1. Gracias por el buen video y las explicaciones al final del vapor sobre las alas.

Absolutely! This route has been operating for lots of years, sometimes even with 2 daily flights. Lots of passengers connect in Dallas to other USA destinations, and the same way, many passengers from the USA connect in Madrid to other European destinations. That's how alliance airlines work together, in this case between American Airlines and Iberia :)

Actually, I've just landed from my first trip of the "Covid era" (more than 1 flight, of course).

Lo único que a mi se me haría pesado es el cambio de horario, mientras en dallas era media noche, ya en Madrid era de día

Me pareció sentir el rodaje por la pista más suave.
Depende siempre del material del que está hecha la pista, del tiempo desde la última reparación así como del avión en particular. :)

Hola Lucas, una pregunta, bueno dos entre el B787 y el A350 900 cuál te ha sido tú mejor experiencia y entre el B777-300ER y el A350-1000?.
Gracias como siempre, excelente experiencia, sí hace años viajé en First Class en American y también conozco el Admirals Club de DFW, a lo primero un desastre en aquél momento el Club Cóndor de Aerolíneas Argentinas, hace muchos años, le daba mil vueltas a American el vuelo fue un MIA-EZE.
El Admirals de Dallas excelente, pocas salas VIP conocí tan buenas, llegaba cansado de un vuelo nocturno y la ducha fue un relax, tenía un Transfer de 3 horas a Monterrey México.

Nunca he probado el B777-300ER ni el A350-1000. No puedo opinar sobre ellos.
Entre el B787 y el A350... pues la verdad es que no sabría bien qué decir... La verdad es que ambos son muy cómodos. Quizás elegiría el B787 porque es con el que he volado realmente largo-radio de los 2.
No obstante, ambos tienen algo que no me gusta en absoluto: la configuración de asientos. Por ejemplo, en el A330 y A340, la configuración es 2-4-2, es decir, las filas laterales son comodísimas. Si bien, es cierto que con la configuración 3-3-3, los asientos del medio son mucho más cómodos que siendo 4...

Really nice trip report once again man! It’s pretty neat seeing the flaperon move subtly during the cruise. You captured that sunset and rise really nicely as well! Always find it amazing how quick the sun sets when we fly West to East! I’m quite curious if you (or anyone else reading) knows what airline the Black tailed CRJ belongs to at 2:20?

That CRJ belongs to Mesa Airlines and is operated for American Eagle.
I have flown with American Airlines many times both domestically and internationally. I have not flown on the 787 yet. I flew with American Airlines back when they still had the DC 10! One of my favorite airlines! In fact, I have flown into DFW several times with my dad on his many business trips. We saw quite a few places in Texas and around the country. I loved it! Thanks for a great upload! The wings on the 787 are perfection!

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience It was pretty cool, for sure. It had catastrophic crashes in the beginning. However, after McDonnell Douglas identified and fixed the problems, it became one of the safest airplanes in the skies.

No, it doesn't mean "missed approach". A missed approach is conducted when, at any moment, the pilots are not happy with the approach and they decide the safest course of action is to make a go-around.
In this case, the use of the spoilers to increase the rate of descent is a completely normal procedure, usually caused by ATC asking the plane to maintain some altitude for more than planned due to other traffic. For situations like this one (among others), spoilers are fitted on the plane.

That's why all my videos have an standard lenght of 20 minutes, which can go up to 22:30 or less than 20 if requried.
