Sure! For your cover letter, I think it’s important to tailor it to the specific position or organization you’re looking to work for. Try to tell a story that resonates with that goal as well as showing why you’re a good fit for the position. If possible, you wanna try to tailor your resume a bit too, but that depends how experienced you are. If you want, I’d be happy to take a look at your resume and cover letter and give my feedback! When you called them, how did you start off the calls? do you just introduce yourself then ask if they have internships available?

If you’re calling them then yes, introducing yourself and asking about internships is all you have to do. If you’re emailing, you should also include a copy of your resume. If you want I can send screenshots of emails i’ve sent to give you a better idea of what to do!
