- After her cousin Kal-El turned out to be a villain, many Justice League heroes turned against him, and all Kryptonians. However, although siding with the good guys, Supergirl still doesn't want to leave her cousin's side despite all the damage he caused to Earth and its people.

These makes the Superman ending more heartbreaking. She just refuses to belive that Kal was capeable to do all these things...Until she sees the horrors of these actions by herself.
That's exactly why I consider the Batman ending canon and not the Superman ending.

I kinda find it funny that nobody mentions that Superman basically killed a baby to Supergirl. Honestly with all of the Terri stuff Injustice Superman has done he could demolish a city and kill the people in it yet Supergirl will most likely just go he's misunderstood let me cool him down and make him realize that what he's done is wrong, for all we know Supergirl could probably be on Superman's side and just pretend she'll turn him back to good but instead she joins him
Flash tried but she refused to listen. If another Billy Batson discovers this and tells Supergirl let's hope this doesn't result in Kara becoming ANOTHER tyrant of steel

Supergirl may be uptight and independent and sometimes she's hard to understand, but her intentions are good. She just wants Superman to be safe. Supergirl would never give up on Superman and she doesn't want to lose her beloved cousin. Kryptonians never give up on their loved ones and neither does Supergirl.

Remember that dialogue in Netherrealm games takes place usually before the story resolves, so in this case Supergirl just woke up from statis and she has no idea Superman did all he did, she thinks the rumors about him are being blown out of proportion, she immediatly confronts him in the story the second she finds out the truth.
Super/Powergirl talking to MK characters would be more tense, especially when talking to Scorpion or Jax
