93 octane at the pump, must be awesome. I thought only Colorado had shit gas, but on a road trip to Chicago a few weeks ago I discovered that Nebraska and Iowa now also have shit 91 in the pumps. Wasn't till we hit IL that 93 became available. How do we stop this bad gas? Modern cars need octane no matter the altitude, even Silverados have like 10:1 compression these days. The whole ethanol thing is scary too, like you say, it's only available at shady gas stations, you never know what you're getting.

If you're not getting any knock with your current tune, you'll not likely gain any power by using it. If you ARE getting knock then this will certainly help. Adding more timing will always help unless you're maxed already with what that combo likes. If you can add timing, using Octanium with more timing will certainly yield more power.

But that's only accurate on stock wheel and tire setups. Draggy eliminates those variables and goes off actual GPS speed.

There's a much better and cheaper alternative, and that's Lucas octane booster. I put that, and 93 octane into the tank of my old 4-cylinder Ranger. It made a very huge difference! Went from being 119HP to 135HP. The HP bump might not sound like a whole lot, but trust me, it's a night and day difference in a mini truck. It's not good for your engine to do this all the time, since it only recommends 87. But for highway driving I definitely recommend doing this.

Not a credible post. You didn't dyno same day to actually verify this, and you 're just making up numbers. I can say this so confidently, because your truck isn't tuned for anything higher than 87. You could add 104 octane and you wouldn't see any benefits, because your car's engine isn't a high enough compression to get any net benefit from the fuel's resistance to detonation. You're wasting your money and making things up.
