New subscriber here. Finally have the tools to begin doing digital work and seeing as I don't have the green green to go for CSP, krita was my next pick.

@@JustCallMeInsane Definitely layout. Unsurprisingly, I kinda want to get into making manga.
That's not to say I won't practice other styles, but the aesthetic always appealed to me.
@@ultima1033 I could do another video on the comic templates that could give you a head start, but there's no special trick to making manga or shortcuts. A lot is just practice.

I do not have a tutorial on that. Not anywhere near my expertise sadly XD
If you are interested in lettering for comics, I recommend looking at David Revoy's channel (a comic creator who uses krita), and looking Blambot! for professional lettering tips. :)
My krita doesn't say "tool options" there, it says "compositions". Is there anothwr way to give the speech bubble an outline?
I selected the box to give the speech bubble an outline and change the thickness to 100+ but no outline appears. Any fixes?

The option for vector libraries doesn't exist fort me when I click dockers. It shows up as "symbol libraries""
Correct - it recently changed with an update.
My krita doesnt have the vector library option, the last one is "undo history" :(
It should be called symbols library now :)

right click does nothing. cant separate the shapes to edit
Make sure you're on the right vector layer, click on the shape first. A box with white box controls should appear. Once it's selected, right click and ungroup a few times.
Which speech balloon are you using?
I don't have a vector library in my Dockers...
It should be called symbol libraries now :)
For some reason borders on the bubbles do not work... doesn't matter how thick or what color I set it to, it just does nothing.
Try to ungroup them two-three times (for some reason this worked for me, most likely because its a group of a group of a group). THEN you should be able to change the outline.
@@JustCallMeInsane Ah yeah... I guess you did say that in the video just didn't think it was directly linked to borders as well. If only it could automatically just put a border around the grouped shapes.
