For all the constant wailing and bashing online, your 2019 50's Standard LP has been one of the greatest things I've ever owned. I'm very grateful that I get to play it every day and I can only really pray for a raise (lol) so that I can collect even more of the beautiful instruments you've been putting out since JC rolled in. As you go from strength to strength, It's such a happy time in our big family community. To see Gibson regaining that magic that it has always inspired and been capable of puts big smiles on our faces. Thats thanks to all of you and your hard work. So thank you

The Gibson bashers either have never actually played one (certainly not a JC era one at least) or have no idea how much time and skill goes into crafting a Gibson guitar. Blows me away that American made Fenders with bolt-on necks and poly finishes cost virtually the same and nobody seems to think they're overpriced!!!! Long live Gibson :-)

But it has 3 p90s, wired like a strat with 5 positions, and it has those in between out of phase stratty positions that remove the hum and sound a bit "quacky". I love it. It's great for playing stuff like SRV, the pickups have got that extra kick to them. But yeah I'd love a solid body version, for more clarity and treble, and less feedback issues. I'm looking to get an Epiphone Les Paul Special now they make them, and yeah that might be a modification I'll do to it, add a third p90, make it a "super" strat, just not the regular kind of "superstrat". I also have issues with tuning pegs on L4, gears not precise bottom E tough to get in right spot, striking hard makes it sharp , wraparound also affects G strings, solution to useful wound 3rd,which i won't do.

In Chicago that afternoon I took down the 6 teles I had been traveling with and traded for two more Les Paul's and i have never looked back and never will. I just went home and was reminded of what I had when I started and what ill die with. Don t get me wrong Mike I love teles but they're not even close to my Paul's and teles to me limited me so much as an artist ! 8/2023: I just found this, and subscribed. I recently learned about this guitar in TV Yellow. I bought 2 amps and a Fender Ultra Strat HSS over the past 2 years. I don't know how I'm gonna get the OK from my wife (I've been a drummer since 1964 and we met when we were 15 in 1968) to buy one of these. BUT, I really want one. Looks Great, Sounds Great and IS Affordable. Thanks for posting this video. Best Regards to You.

Haha, I just got one of the double cut specials - in cherry red - with P90s - two pickup. And I'm the same way - a Fender guy. The telecaster is my go to - but for the past month since getting my Gibson, it's all I've played. I love it - the P90s are screaming and articulate. I actually wanted one of those tv yellow specials, but it was a little out of my price range - but I'm still so happy. I love the fact you play a Pro Junior - I also have one - and it's the amp I'll never get rid of - it's a beast. Mine has a greenback in it - and it'll go toe to toe with any mid size amp. It's the secret weapon. My Junior also stays in tune like a champ - it's kinda crazy. Just saw Gibson released new single cuts with P90s - and I think I might have to grab one in white at some point.

I have owned a strat, a PRS SE Singlecut, an Epiphone Goldtop with P-90's, and an Epiphone Casino. Also an Epiphone Les Paul Special II. I lean more towards the Les Pauls because the sound has more girth and bite. The clean tones are pretty cool, too, especially humbuckers when you are just on the neck pickup and roll the tone off a bit. Very jazzy . I have never owned a Les Paul Junior but have wanted one for the longest time. I am afraid the search will be over and i will have found the Holy Grail of guitars. I just love that jangly rock sound those P-90's get resonating off of that slab of mahogany. Your guitar sounds glorious dude. Good sense of humor and good video. Thanks for sharing!

That was hysterical. Now I have to go to the Gibson website and compare the differences between the LP Special Tribute and the one you just demoed. Reason? Well there's a considerable difference in price, even though they appear to be the same guitar, and I can afford the Tribute. But If it doesn't allow you to hit an open string, go to lunch, return and find that the string is still ringing LIKE YOURS DID, then I guess I need to come up with the extra bucks. Thanks for the demo brother!

I said the same thing about my Fender. I played for 35 years until I met the true love of my life. It was hard letting go, but my PRS is like that first love you let slip away after high school. She ends up divorcing later on in life and so do you and you two end up reuniting. Something you never expected. It was just destiny. A happy ending story. You think about her from time to time, but you know you've found your soul mate.

I have so many nice guitars. But I always grab my Gibson Les Paul custom. After playing that thing, a Strat or my ESP feel like toys. I’ve literally contemplated selling off most of my guitars. They are all fantastic guitars. But you hit the nail on the head with “feeling” the whole guitar just come alive. You can literally feel it reverberate through your body. None of my other guitars do it to that degree. Is it as comfortable as some of my other guitars? Probably not. It’s a 10lb chunk with no comfort cuts or contours. But it’s just a beast of a guitar. And growls like no other. It’s quite empowering really. I’m hoping a full thickness USA ESP will have the same feeling. If I sell off some of my axes, I may get one. But it’ll be hard not to buy another Gibson Les Paul. Cool video. The teardrop on the tele had me in stitches. 😂
