Hi Mike, Cesar from Gibson - I am sorry we ruined your life! Enjoy your LP Special.
@@guitarmovies Wow! A Flying V too, you are becoming a Gibson veteran! Way to go man, we let our guitars speak for themselves with our renewed obsession on quality. Thank you for giving them a chance. Cesar
Cesar! Things are moving fast and you guys are nailing it! And checking the pulse of CZcams? That's also great! Hope to meeting you at NAMM.
For all the constant wailing and bashing online, your 2019 50's Standard LP has been one of the greatest things I've ever owned. I'm very grateful that I get to play it every day and I can only really pray for a raise (lol) so that I can collect even more of the beautiful instruments you've been putting out since JC rolled in. As you go from strength to strength, It's such a happy time in our big family community. To see Gibson regaining that magic that it has always inspired and been capable of puts big smiles on our faces. Thats thanks to all of you and your hard work. So thank you
Cesar Gueikian you guys also ruined my life, I haven’t removed my strat from its case and I don’t know why, it used to be my favorite, it still kinda is but I just haven’t played it in months.
@@ErraticFaith Fellow LP 50's Standard owner here and I couldn't agree more. The Gibson bashers either have never actually played one (certainly not a JC era one at least) or have no idea how much time and skill goes into crafting a Gibson guitar. Blows me away that American made Fenders with bolt-on necks and poly finishes cost virtually the same and nobody seems to think they're overpriced!!!! Long live Gibson :-)
Now THAT was fun to watch! 💛🙌❤️ Thanks, Mike!
Mike what do you suggest in Burst 59 reissue? Several models
I meant the question for Sweetwater here, looking for LP Burst
@@comicblueswithjonygitar36 I suggest you wait until epiphone drops the 59 burst later this year, that is what I'm doing with the epiphone les Paul special tv yellow P90's, is called the inspired by Gibson epiphone guitars line and they are sweet plus they using all premium parts like cts wiring harness and alnico pro P90's and the typical grover tuners they used plus graphtech nut seems like they are really stepping up the game on these and they changed the epiphone headstock on these inspired by Gibson guitars to the old Kalamazoo epiphone headstock too so...
Sweetwater ruined my life when they told me they don't finance to canadians.
@@poundtacos4006 Even after a case of Molsen imported shows up? 🍺
Next morning, enters music room. Gibson on the floor, broken headstock. Tele looking all innocent.
Tele: "What, I dunno".
Another mysterious Gibson death by suicide, and/,or , "misadventure."
It ain’t a real Gibson til you had the neck repaired. It’s like tommy john surgery.
@@jgenoese If you take of a les paul don't drop it i have a 08
I love it!! Still laughing!!
Was expecting a story about how Gibson and sweetwater swindled this dude and I gotta say, I was baited in the best way.
I know I was like uh oh what did Sweetwater do to this man??? Just make him happier and open his eyes to the Gibson world.
I already knew it was clickbait b/c I have never had a bad experience with Sweetwater... I swear that company is flipping amazing. their customer service is unparalleled.
Glad I saw this. 1 minute in. I can watch something else now.
Me also.
My biggest problem with Sweetwater is that I live very close to them and they are eating into my budget.......a lot!
Sweetwater’s amazing for sure!
The crying tele scene was hilarious
Almost made me cry
oh I know! I actually laughed out loud at that one. 😂
It brought tears to my eyes as well. 😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣 epic
The whole thing is genius, very funny
- Goes for the Dad Rock line
- Owns a Tele
Davide Mura EXACTLY
I wonder if he knows that tele is older than les pauls.
I know right?
Never understood it either, I listen to a lot of heavy bands and there are Gibsons everywhere. I think it might come from middle-aged guys going for the $3000 flame top models and stuff. These barebones Gibsons are hands down workhorse machines and are the opposite of “dad rock”
All guitars are dad rock guitars if you think about it.
Almost spat out my drink when the Tele was crying LMAO
Did I read that right: 1.01K subscribers? Trust me, this channel has the potential to explode. The humor, writing, and production quality of this video are outstanding, and I predict great things for this content creator. Great job!
Yeah no doubt this dudes gonna kill it this year. Mike, once you hit about 15k subs it just starts to snowball so if you are able to be consistent you’ll be fine.
And once you hit about 50k subs, as long as ppl are actively watching and engaging, that’s a reasonable living already
I really hope it does blow up! Mike - you killed it, man! Funny, informative, great video and sound quality...You hit all the marks. Got yourself a new sub, brother!🤘🏻
Up to 2.4k since this post
Read my mind! 👍🏻
I totally hear ya! I'm a Fender guy. Recently got a double cut Les Paul Special with p90s and I am blown away by the power and sound. Love it! P90s are so versatile.
Tele forever!
Did you get them on that sweet deal? I got a couple couldn't pass them up. P90's are just a special beast.....
@@j.a.s.1416 no, i got mine before the new deal, but I did get a great deal at $750. The $599 price right now is insane for the quality you get.
I got mine for $460 ! And yes it beats my Tele for real !
@@auntjenifer7774 That's an awesome deal!
The slow-mo removal of the plastic on the pickguard is total fetish! HILARIOUS!
Like Quentin T and Uma’s feet.
Still never understand why so many humbucker guitars are purchased. P90’s are surely the best ever pickup
Because not everyone wants that untameable fizz
@@XK49 you obviously don’t have experience with these pickups, yes on full volume on the guitar you get that awesome overdriven Abraxis Santana sound but roll back the volume and you get the sweetest clean clear chimey tone a humbucker can never achieve
@@doncowie8653 I literally have never heard an acceptable clean from a P90 but our ideas of clean are probably just different
@@XK49 have you tried Lollar, my lollars with the volume backed off a bit have the sweetest most musical cleans I have heard. I own strats and Teles that I love but the Lollar P90 (not hottest version) can cover everything from clean country picking to Santana
Agreed
Subscribed. That tear rolling down the Tele is the funniest thing I've ever seen on a guitar centric channel, just brilliant. With all the controversy that's been spreading around the community the past few years (Gibson (in general)/the Agnesi video/RobChapman, etc) it's really refreshing to find a channel with excellent production and a guy with a self effacing hilarious personality. Don't worry, cream rises & hard work pays off...dude will have 500,000 subs in no time. Be cool...
Strat guy for 20 years. Bought one Gibson Les Paul. Now I want the new slash one too
Just be glad you weren’t walking down the lines of new shiny things at the Gibson booth lol. ‘I’ll take one of each’ is really what I wish I could of said 😆
Special shouts to the new historic acoustic line (just had to buy one!) and the return of Epiphone to USA for the Texan ...oh god so hard to not get one of those too! (Lol).
Anyone who holds the right Gibson for them, certainly doesn’t forget it. Magic!
I just bought a special and got it two days ago and Gibson hit it out of the park. I've owed several Gibson's but never new. I got the vintage cherry and love it!
How do you adjust the intonation with that bridge?
Hey man, are the pickups on this guitar height adjustable?
I purchased all my guitars at Sweetwater even though they are online. I would not have guitars if wasn't for them. Straight customer service and high quality merchandise!
Sweetwater is brave also because they show the weight of the guitars. Other sites don't do that. That's one of the main reasons why I go there.
I bought an amp cover for my Katana 100 from Sweetwater. Did not expect what happened after I hit order. Cristian called and followed up with an email thanking me for my purchase. When the cover arrived, in the box was a thank you note along with a bag of candy. They have my business for life
I've been with Sweetwater 4 years. They follow up currently on merchandise they sell you and they match prices on reasonably priced from a 🎸 guitar pick to a guitar. They have a great hassle free tech. If Sweetwater sells it they know it. They don't sell junk. HEY CAN I GET COMPENSATED FOR THIS? 😆 LOL
I have to agree. I was super nervous about buying my 60’s Les Paul standard. It’s the first time I ever bought a guitar without playing it first. But the overall experience was great. Not trying to sound like I work for them but honestly the guitar was exactly what I wanted and customer service is excellent.
I've bought one guitar from Sweetwater so far and it was a very good experience. Josh, my sales rep, took great care of me throughout the whole process.
Specials and juniors are kinda like the teles and strats of Gibson. They’re my favourite guitars, I just think a junior is guitar perfection..
Juniors are amazing!
Simple rock machines.
You just gave me a great idea! 3 p90 double cut special. Literally a “Gibson style strat” hahaha
@@danielbell4007 I have a Dean Palomino, which is a big hollowbody guitar. But it has 3 p90s, wired like a strat with 5 positions, and it has those in between out of phase stratty positions that remove the hum and sound a bit "quacky". I love it. It's great for playing stuff like SRV, the pickups have got that extra kick to them. But yeah I'd love a solid body version, for more clarity and treble, and less feedback issues. I'm looking to get an Epiphone Les Paul Special now they make them, and yeah that might be a modification I'll do to it, add a third p90, make it a "super" strat, just not the regular kind of "superstrat". It'd be so useful. It'd be a blues and rock monster.
What pickups do you have in your Les Paul ? P90s ?
What tuning issues? Slippage? You need use a tie-off method, backwards loop like a knot, counterintuitive, look it up, popular, stops slipping.
I also have issues with tuning pegs on L4, gears not precise bottom E tough to get in right spot, striking hard makes it sharp , wraparound also affects G strings, solution to useful wound 3rd,which i won't do.
Hope that helps
I wasn't a Gibson guy but... Randomly tested a les paul tribute at a music store and fell in love with the feel and sound. Walked out with it. I don't regret it.
HAHA. First vid of yours I've watched. Subscribing immediately. THAT was entertaining. Very similar guitar love-arc as you. Still have and love my Tele I bought in college, but acquired a goldtop with p90s 3 years ago and ...well...you already know.
Are you able to get Tele tones from the bridge? Like twang or Chick'n Pick;n?
Have you tried the Epi version. Watch several videos on comparisons and they were extremely complimentary of the Epi. Not better per se but for the price they couldn't believe how close it was.
Any thoughts?
I've tried the new Epi SGs, Les Pauls and Specials. I think they are a lot of value for the money and great guitars. I think some of the comparisons to Gibson are overblown. You hold a guitar. You touch it constantly. There's a significant difference in the experience of playing a Gibson vs an Epiphone. But I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with an Epiphone, either. They're making great instruments.
Fun video. I’ve loved LP specials for many decades, and I’ve recently figured out how awesome Telecasters are. I think the Special and the Teie are hard to beat. I struggle to decide which is the better guitar. Ironically I am without a Special right now, but I do have it’s Gucci cousin, a Custom Shop R4...and yep..I still dream of owning a Special again!
I agree with you %100. It's my favorite guitar hands down. Also, if you get a compensated wraparound tailpiece, it will have better intonation and stay in tune better. Mojoaxe makes a really good one.
The subtle, barely in-camera grab of the Gibby at the end made me lol. Great job!
I'm curious, how do you intonate with that bridge?
The Special was always the most underrated Les Paul.
I could hear the soul of that guitar talking to you Mike. Just like it happened to me. Hands down the greatest guitar and pick up to play.
How do you adjust the intonation without bridge saddles?
How do you adjust intonation if needed on Gibson special guitars?
I have loved and played nothing but Stratocaster’s my whole life until I got a Les Paul now I can’t even look at a Stratocaster
You could always try a Tom Anderson Classic S Shorty...have your cake and eat it too. 🤣
Mike: in a few months you will love how good it is to be able to change from the LP to the T and from the T to the LP.
Instant subscriber. Great video. Now trying to figure out how you got the tone at 4:25 without a pedal. Is the crunch from the Amplitude? And yeah, that guitar is my dream guitar.
@@guitarmovies sounds fantastic
Hi Mike! My name is JD Cordlé and my first electric guitar was a 3 pickup black beauty. I've been professional since I was 16 and switched for some reason to a tele when I was 19 and used them primarily for the next 25 years on the road and then one day I picked up my Les Paul and did the show with it that night , the next day we had a show. In Chicago that afternoon I took down the 6 teles I had been traveling with and traded for two more Les Paul's and i have never looked back and never will. I just went home and was reminded of what I had when I started and what ill die with. Don t get me wrong Mike I love teles but they're not even close to my Paul's and teles to me limited me so much as an artist ! So in the end your Paul will always love you back hands down night after night and I cant say that for a fender! Play on Mike!
**plays a G**
Holy shit best guitar ever!!!
Happened to me with the D-28 😂 I wasn’t wrong
You NEED to try a Reverend GristleMaster!!!if you like "T" style guitars. It's Awesome!!!
Just discovered you on here. Well, actually I discovered you 10 minutes ago when I watched your 'how to relic a Les Paul..." video. Hysterical!! So I went to your channel page and saw this video. Sweetwater & Gibson Ruined My Life. Again, HYSTERICAL!! My wife bought me (after my hinting shamelessly) an LP Special. Dude, I agree 100%! My '#1' an LP Traditional I've had for a while now, is now my #3 (I got a goldtop that stole second place). But the point is, you're HILARIOUS and I'll be watching from now on. Keep up the hysterical work, buddy!
Thank you! Appreciate that.
Can someone explain to me why, in 2020, any guitar manufacturer is using a bridge stop as an actual bridge?
I have the same experience with my Les Paul Goltop with P90 (2019 model). Incredible guitar for the price. Great great pickups.
Romain Bertrand - Me too! (‘18 P90 Classic) I feel like I could stand on stage, strum an E chord, and receive a standing O. : )
I love when people ignore the crap on the internet and just try something out. Great video!
Great video! Whats the name of the song while the close up footage at the beginning??
Route a Tele for P90s or get a back routed version with what ever controls you need. Which one feels better when you put your arms around and hold it?
ROTFLMAO:)) That "single tear" running down the Tele was freaking priceless!! I also loved how you posted the signal path-especially with no pedals. Yup-going to add this one to my stable!!
So very sorry that Sweetwater & Gibson ruined your life. If you need a therapist, I have just the Doctor for you to see- Maybe you should buy another Les Paul Special and set it up for slide!
LMAO:)))
Comedian Jack Dee was asked what would he save if his house was on fire and he said his guitar and one of the twins.
how do you adjust the intonation?
is your gibson really super yellow ? or is it like lemon greenish ? mine is kinda green ..not sure if i like it :(
Mine's a slightly transparent yellow, but I've seen them vary a fair bit. From the greenish hue to the ones that look almost "dirty" yellow because you can see more of the wood grain.
Man, I had the exact same experience with my SG and now I can't put the damn thing down!! Damn you Gibson!!!
You're too young to remember The Courtship of Eddie's Father.
8/2023: I just found this, and subscribed. I recently learned about this guitar in TV Yellow. I bought 2 amps and a Fender Ultra Strat HSS over the past 2 years. I don't know how I'm gonna get the OK from my wife (I've been a drummer since 1964 and we met when we were 15 in 1968) to buy one of these. BUT, I really want one. Looks Great, Sounds Great and IS Affordable. Thanks for posting this video. Best Regards to You.
What model year is that guitar?
Dude, I've been a Tele player for over 20 years. No way I'm playing one of those Gibsons now. Lol. Great video. Deserves more views. Kudos.
Johnny Nowhere you try a LP special there fun
@@derekhand7904 The real problem is that I'm left-handed, but play with my strings upside down. I'd have to pay more for a LH model, then file a new nut. And there's still no way to re-intonate the bridge. I'm out of luck in this case.
Johnny Nowhere you dodged a bullet there buddy.
$15 Amazon has adjustable saddles on wraparound bridges. I have them all on my wrap-arounds. So get a Gibson and rock out! 🎸
Your Tele is singing “Jolene,” but you’re too far gone.
Great video. I had a similar "this thing can do anything" on a Ric 340 - Once you get used to the weird knob configuration that is.
how can I find the track from the beginning? sounds unreal!
Not gonna lie, they had us in the first half!
I think I could grab at least 3 or 4 guitars and still have room for an amp head before the fire got too bad... 🔥
How do you intonate that thing?
Haha, I just got one of the double cut specials - in cherry red - with P90s - two pickup. And I'm the same way - a Fender guy. The telecaster is my go to - but for the past month since getting my Gibson, it's all I've played. I love it - the P90s are screaming and articulate. I actually wanted one of those tv yellow specials, but it was a little out of my price range - but I'm still so happy. I love the fact you play a Pro Junior - I also have one - and it's the amp I'll never get rid of - it's a beast. Mine has a greenback in it - and it'll go toe to toe with any mid size amp. It's the secret weapon. My Junior also stays in tune like a champ - it's kinda crazy. Just saw Gibson released new single cuts with P90s - and I think I might have to grab one in white at some point.
shaneruegg he’s playing through amplitube modeling software the whole time, no actual amps
‘’Tele Tears’’.. gotta love it. 😪😂😥
I was ready to hate this video since I have had great experiences with Sweetwater and Gearfest is fantastic. My sales rep Codie calls me just to see how I’m doing every now and then. Well I ended up subscribing 😆🎸
Yup. GC failed at almost every order I placed with them. Sweetwater comes through no prob.
Ok but does the damn thing stay in tune with the wraparound tail piece
I have owned a strat, a PRS SE Singlecut, an Epiphone Goldtop with P-90's, and an Epiphone Casino. Also an Epiphone Les Paul Special II. I lean more towards the Les Pauls because the sound has more girth and bite. The clean tones are pretty cool, too, especially humbuckers when you are just on the neck pickup and roll the tone off a bit. Very jazzy . I have never owned a Les Paul Junior but have wanted one for the longest time. I am afraid the search will be over and i will have found the Holy Grail of guitars. I just love that jangly rock sound those P-90's get resonating off of that slab of mahogany. Your guitar sounds glorious dude. Good sense of humor and good video. Thanks for sharing!
The les Paul special tv yellow P90's is the tele players les paul as far as I am concerned and i've heard that from other people too not just my dad.
I sort of get that but a Gibson P90 is its own animal. It is a single coil but it produces a tone that sounds sort of like a cross between a Humbucker and Single coil.
My PAF scatter wound Pickups in my Les Pauls kinda do the same trick.
@stricknine86😂 indeed they do !23
You don't like Gibson because you think it's a dad guitar but you love Teles? That's hilarious 😂
Omg Killer 🤙🏿
Ty for the fun and informative commentary Subscribed..😊 cheers from Newport Beach, CA. 🌊🤙🏿
Why do some Les Paul Specials have a bridge with saddles and some don’t?
as soon as you walked out of the room in my head i was thinking "now come back and grab the les paul" so you get a subscribe just for making me laugh. great video btw!
ps, i went the opposite direction by starting out les paul and then going telecaster but i still love them both and in a fire i would save them both or die trying. i hear smoke inhalation is very peaceful!
It's the p90 pickups......
Knew this had to be a joke Sweetwater is one of the best companies I've ever dealt with
i have a 1990 version of this and it stays in tune forever. it's an absolutely killer guitar
How many times u have to tune it to make this video? Like 100?
The crying Tele ACTUALLY made me sad lol
This is so awesome!! Took the words out of my mouth.
I've always been a Fender guy, and even moreso a Telecaster guy. It's become part of my identity.
But I've also always had this secret lust for a Les Paul Special in TV Yellow.
I might have to bite the bullet and give in to temptation, too.
Careful - strats, teles. Prs at home - never even dreamed I’d like a guitar like this - played it - worked out I was a moron - now love my custom shop special - what a frikkin trip !!! It’s soooooo good.
That was hysterical. Now I have to go to the Gibson website and compare the differences between the LP Special Tribute and the one you just demoed. Reason? Well there's a considerable difference in price, even though they appear to be the same guitar, and I can afford the Tribute. But If it doesn't allow you to hit an open string, go to lunch, return and find that the string is still ringing LIKE YOURS DID, then I guess I need to come up with the extra bucks. Thanks for the demo brother!
My next two guitars, Les Paul Special with P-90’s and a Tele. Just purchased a Les Paul standard and am in love with it.
Give it some time, you’ll be coming back to your tele....
Then after awhile, you’ll be back with Les. I know what your going through lol!
You'll end up back with the Fenders; might be temporarily confused by the nice girl in the pretty summer dress, but the hot one ,in nothing but an old XL T shirt , is still around-
@@guitarmovies Many men have tried...
I said the same thing about my Fender. I played for 35 years until I met the true love of my life. It was hard letting go, but my PRS is like that first love you let slip away after high school. She ends up divorcing later on in life and so do you and you two end up reuniting. Something you never expected. It was just destiny. A happy ending story. You think about her from time to time, but you know you've found your soul mate.
So I’m a Fender guy as well. Just sold an Epiphone ES-335 because I never really bonded with it-just not as comfortable to play to me. Yet the LP Special seems to be calling me. I need to get out to a store to play one and see how it feels.
If you can find a luthier to replace the nut with a compensated nut and also do whatever is necessary to correct the typical QC issues with these guitars it will play and stay in tune.
Don't feel bad about your Tele. Our tastes and sounds we hear change as we go on. If it sits for over a year unplayed, sell it. You have moved on.
Dave Duffy My LP custom has sat for 2 years. Not played. And I’d never sell it. I’ve been on a weird run with playing my PRS and for the year before that I was into my strats. One day I know I’ll fall back to the LP. Worst mistake I ever made was selling a guitar just because I hadn’t played it .. but to each their own lol
The moment you took the plastic off was like putting on a condom...
More like taking it off
i know. i needed to go to porn sire right away when i saw that. fuck!
I have so many nice guitars. But I always grab my Gibson Les Paul custom. After playing that thing, a Strat or my ESP feel like toys. I’ve literally contemplated selling off most of my guitars. They are all fantastic guitars. But you hit the nail on the head with “feeling” the whole guitar just come alive. You can literally feel it reverberate through your body. None of my other guitars do it to that degree. Is it as comfortable as some of my other guitars? Probably not. It’s a 10lb chunk with no comfort cuts or contours. But it’s just a beast of a guitar. And growls like no other. It’s quite empowering really. I’m hoping a full thickness USA ESP will have the same feeling. If I sell off some of my axes, I may get one. But it’ll be hard not to buy another Gibson Les Paul. Cool video. The teardrop on the tele had me in stitches. 😂
Brilliant video man 😂👌🏼 I also got one this year in the walnut & I totally echo everything you’ve said, I have a Tele (but a player) & a Les Paul studio from 1991 & have loved it but these p90 Special Tributes are something else!!
The walnut is classy - that's what I went for...
Boys grab your certificates of authenticity, as tonight we ride.
2:38 that headstock angle is treacherous
jambajoby32 it’s great because you don’t need string trees to keep the pressure on the nut as with a Fender.
L O agreed because the Gibson’s have more than enough tension and stress on the neck and strings as it is
@@jambajoby32 The problem with Gibsons is the angle at which primarily the C & G string pass from the nut to the tuners - that's why they easily go out of tune. Gibson USA doesn't file the nut slots to compensate for this, which they should. & they should add a volute & decrease the headstock angle to just enough :)
L O agreed except for the c string may be a D
Lessen angle, straighten break angle both vertically and horizontally
Such a great video! I pretty much only play Fender and Reverend guitars, but last week I found a used white Les Paul Studio... thing was mint so I tried it out... had to buy it. It’s hard to explain... do I like it better than my Strat or Tele? I don’t know about that... but there is something about it for sure. I love it, and I can’t put it down.
Mike Richeson I have a double agent, and a Warhawk RT.
I have the same problem. I'm so attached to my Ibanez RG Prestige. But a few months ago, I bought a PRS CE24. Every time I go to play, I grab the PRS. Who am I???
Laughed way harder at this then ANY SNL sketch I've seen this season...I need to stop watching network TV, because quirky guitarcentric CZcams channels that have honest and compelling narratives is mos definitely the next wave of quality entertainment. Or, not
Lost my TV remote control a year ago. Don't give a shit
Tele is wayyyy more of a dad rock guitar than a Gibby 😂😂
Yup. Gotta have both

@@sixbladeknife44 Keith Urban? You're a idiot.
Been thinking about picking one of these up so I’ve been watching reviews. Your vid was entertaining and well done and convinced me to get on board with one. Guess my Tele will take a sabbatical as well. Thanks
So funny video. And so helpful, your considerations were precious to me, also because i feel in your same exact spot: i love my Tele and i want to "integrate" her with a second (a second?) guitar. I was thinking to a humbucker guitar (LP or semihollow), but i find that pickups too "violent" and "flat" for my ears and fingers.
Tried one of theese LP special with P90 and giong to buy one of them next monday.
Hope it's the right choice, i'm still nervous about it......
I won't lie to you: the humour and plastic peeling shot alone were enough to make me subscribe. I'm excited to see where this channel goes!
I just watched this, and at the end I was thinking “he’s coming back for the Special”. 😂
Nicely done. I’m also all about the Tele (fairly recent convert due to a partscaster, my first T, about 5 years ago) but love the LPS.
HAHA! I love this video. Well done. I'm waffling between a Tele and this guitar for my next purchase. I have a US Strat and LP copy today. Do I go for the trifecta (Strat, LP, Tele) or get a real Gibson with fat single coils..... Hmmm....
Tough call, but either choice will be great.
Great video ! I’ve settled on the les Paul as my favorite I have a Slash standard and just purchased a p90 lp special tribute . Love Sweetwater great to do business with Matt’s my guy over there . I’m really looking forward to the p90 les Paul !
Damn! You are telling my story. I keep the Tele upstairs and the LP Special downstairs. Depending on what room I’m in, they both get played. No one gets jealous.
Hahaha! OMG. Me too! I have a guitar room upstairs with my main amp, and a practice amp in the bedroom, and one guitar is always upstairs and the other one is always down, depending. Strat and LP Special. I'm like a Mormon bigamist.
How are you getting zero hum with the gain up that high on p90’s?

Well played, well played.
BTW, my new Gibson Les Paul special in vintage cherry will be arriving from Sweetwater this week. And over all the guitars I've owned in the past 50 years, this will be my first Gibson, so I pray they built it well, because if so, I might be coming back for more.
So, have you enjoyed it? Any issues?
